Another piece of ‘social science fiction’ for the entertainment of the Cartesian-Platonic mentality. For the rest of us, what follows is an applied technique that could be described as superimposing ancient American Indian analytic thought process on European maladaptive social behavior in a context of historical interpretation. Let the Western anthropologists shout ‘Foul!’ as loudly as they like; for there is nothing quite like a hypocrite’s discomfit when the tables are turned on them (whilst noting the Western psychological concept of “ego” was diagnosed and treated as a mental disorder in the preColumbian Plains tribes of North America.)
The Rise of Narcissism
The ‘naaks’ is Blackfoot expression of the sentient awareness surrounding ‘ourselves as energy capsules’ (our capsule’s energy surroundings or the larger sentient awareness), and our [entire] body is the capsule’s skeleton. We could think about the naaks vis a vis intuitive intelligence & ability to read per the ‘capsule within the capsule.’ The Earth is the capsule which we are capsules within. At the macro-micro comparison level, we exist (in some sense), at a cellular level, no different to we are composed of cells.
Within this our ‘brains’ (notice the plural) is a (notice the singular) bifurcated, but knitted together, identical model of a translucent, parallel universe; in the ‘ether’ (aether) expression, an expandable & contractible organ with many avenues that are in state of motion (like traffic) such that quantum physicists are now comparing (our universe) to a neural network (the same as our ‘brains’, we all have a pair of these that should be seen in a paradox of the two are one but also competent as ‘partnered’ individuals.)
Within this phenomenon there is possibility for infinite permutation or infinite dimensions (possibilities) which are transitory like random computations (permutation) depending on influences & actions & reactions & interactions.
All of this is tied together in the ‘neural network’ at multiple levels. These are the energy strings & channels that constantly surround us and we are tied into in various ways … or SHUT OUT OF … due to deficient learning, involuntary circumstance, other possibilities, or (in some cases) choice.
All of the preceding (in a paradox) is superimposed upon a sentient cosmic will with a purpose we cannot be objectively privy to; except to recognize when avenues are opened and shut to us in what’s similar to a fluid state.
Moreover, there are constants that should never be tampered with (but have been.) In all of this, it is important (critically important) to understand the Earth ‘capsule’ are its own sentient being with a will. It is a female entity where ‘Man’ should behave as a guest. This is a ‘tampered with’ constant.
The seasons, both solar & lunar calendar (partnered) are an exterior (to our individual capsules) phenomenon that is typically only seen in projection-reflection (artificial-logos-limited or left-brain-centric, ego-based perception) in the modern man and is why they cannot ‘hear’, ‘see’, ‘feel’, ‘smell’, ‘taste’ or know what the cosmos has to say. These seasons mirror image in the North-South hemispheres of the planet reflect the parallel universe (same principle as our ‘twin’ brains), and we are capable of traversing these parallel universe at a cosmic level but this would be perceived by logos as being ‘doubled’ or co-existing with what amounts to a parallel universe ‘clone’ when in fact it is ‘just us’ (our single selves) located in both (when the universe is not ‘cleaved’ or split.)
The preceding (paragraph’s) seeming contradiction is solved as simply understanding the entire structure operates as a single, integrated whole.
Those ‘pre-ancient’ peoples who lived for many millennia with unrestricted intuitive intelligence (sight) discovered what leads to certain outcomes in the sentient awareness; so simple as to understand it is better to be good than bad, honest dealings with our fellow man & truthful reporting are the correct road to follow, and at the end, it is better to die than to compromise one’s ethics and cleanliness of one’s mind: the source of true ‘nobility.’
What Plato’s dismissal of intuitive intelligence accomplished was to effectively lobotomize the whole of Western humanity’s social intelligence (common sense) in relation to life support function; enabling the idiocy of environmental destruction on a colossal scale, for the simple fact this branch of humanity can no longer see and navigate those avenues the sentient awareness of omnipresent intelligence offers to us. This social defect was already old by the time Plato ‘codified’ it, dating to time of overthrow of the Matriarchal system reflected in mythology of Gaia and the Titans (victors wrote the history) and the subsequent rise of the ‘logos’ hierarchy. But the resulting ancient Paganism had to somehow absorb these existing principles nevertheless; over a long transitional period as the artificial hierarchy (societal blindness of logos) spread throughout the world and became more and more divorced from reality within its pseudo-reality. Finally the logos turned on Paganism in a self-devouring rage at sensing what it cannot see or know and its solution was to seal every portal. This was the end of the oracles, an extinction manifest in the marriage of logos to monotheism (self.)
Sufi Islam and the Eastern Orthodox Church had been moderately inclined, historically ‘qualified’ exceptions to this, for instance, a social tolerance within Islam that even allows for Pagans or Infidels (Christians historically are construed to be ‘believers’ or a religion held in high regard since early Islam) to be respected as deserving of dignified treatment and possessed of rights little different to themselves; while also allowing for exploring the mysteries of our existence within a framework of noble self-improvement or sensibility. Orthodoxy, if less overtly tolerant (its history of anti-Semitic pogroms cannot be overlooked, contributing towards a future Jewish radicalism where Tikun’s sense of the unity principle has been overwhelmed), at least did not self-consume (cannibalize) the larger intelligence principles (and associated talent) within its own community, and a sense of the unity principle remained alive and survives. Western Christianity, and its offspring, Atheism, both embracing the schism and condemnation of intuition by Plato, deny these avenues, devolving to an absolute ‘you are with us or against us’ ethic, ignoring fact of dream informing Einstein.
In the West, there is little difference to the dogmas of science and religion, the empiricism of the one is easily so intolerant as the theology of the other. Both are primitive, if primitive is defined to be an aggressively self-consumed ignorance or narcissism demanding culturally unsophisticated outcomes based in personal and collective social-intelligence limitations.

“For the Western world, the Schumann resonance represents the frequency of the Earth’s electromagnetic field. It has always concentrated at 7.83 Hz, with few variations since 1952, but in June 2014 there was a change. This when the Russian Space Observatory System showed a sudden increase in activity with a varied elongation from 8.5 Hz to 16.5 Hz.
“The researchers were amazed at these values, something that had never been recorded that way. More recently, other peaks have been detected, increasing the planet’s frequency to more than 30 Hz. It is concluded that these changes clearly show that the planet is changing. Some scholars also believe that humans, when acting on a “collective consciousness” level, can affect the structure of the magnetic field.
“This speculation is based on the fact that Schumann’s frequency is “in tune” with the human brain states alpha and theta. These increasing resonances correspond, of course, to the activity of human brain waves, which means that the Earth would be adjusting its frequency of vibration”
The scientific observation taken together with the proposed conclusion…
“Some scholars also believe that humans, when acting on a “collective consciousness” level, can affect the structure of the magnetic field”
…poses problems at several levels, mostly with undesirable outcome.
Undesirable, that is, if you are a stakeholder in the future of humanity. This is because, when humanity has become a cancer upon the cosmos, humanity will be written off by the cosmos like the Western science writes off and discards a failed laboratory experiment. You don’t believe this? That’s fine, the Cartesian-Platonic mentality may then approach the larger points in what follows as a social science fiction, in which the ‘brighter’ minds of Western culture might find some real entertainment value.
To begin, “… scholars also believe that humans, when acting on a “collective consciousness” level, can affect the structure…” or physical characteristics and behavior of the planet itself but this information is isolated or ‘exiled’ from mainstream, recalling theoretical physicist d’Espagnat’s largely (one is tempted to say ‘entirely’) ignored…
“The doctrine that the world is made up of objects whose existence is independent of human consciousness turns out to be in conflict with quantum mechanics and with facts established by experiment”
…pointing directly to the lived unreality of Western science; where its own quantum mechanics has directly established the foundation of Western science itself (objectivity) is patently mistaken. Yet these scientists go on ‘building’ on the now proven to be false assumption of ‘objectivity’ while behaving as though in polite company one dare not mention the aroma of a particularly pungent fart. In short, the most ‘primal & salient’ fact is ignored.
What to do with a culture that is capable of tattooing a swastika on its forehead and denying there could be any perceptual problem with it?
Now, we will have a brief look at some comparative oddities in relation to the ‘other’ intelligence, the so-called ‘primitive’ or pre-Western (pre-Indo-European, pre-civilized) environment giving rise to indigenous thought.
“Both solitary mammals and autistic individuals are low on measures of gregariousness, socialization, direct gazing, eye contact, facial expression, facial recognition, emotional engagement, affiliative need and other social behaviors. The evolution of the neurological tendencies in solitary species that predispose them toward being introverted and reclusive may hold important clues for the evolution of the autism spectrum and the natural selection of autism genes”
What is interesting in this preceding quote from ‘Conceptualizing the Autism Spectrum in Terms of Natural Selection and Behavioral Ecology: The Solitary Forager Hypothesis’ is the fact it simply and accurately describes the behavior of any individual with intact pre-Columbian mental structure removed from their cosmos or social foundation. You can still see this behavior today; take just about any one of the more culturally intact Native American Indians described in the chapter ‘Stick Game (The Witches)’ out of that highly vibrant, community social interaction, and place them, for instance, in any Western setting of personal ego projection such as a large party, and the Indian’s behavior would present just as described in autism.
This phenomenon of two entirely different Indians in one person is reflected in the American frontier stereotype of the ‘taciturn’ Indian where the one side only had been observed; that stone-faced (expressionless) ‘savage’ that did not look at you, rather past or through you and has nothing to say.
Relevant to the preceding is the experience of the modern American lawyer, when laws had changed allowing these non-tribal law advocates to practice in today’s tribal (imposed Western) courts. “You can’t read them” was the initial reaction of the White lawyers during the procedure of jury selection; where the opposing sides are entitled to question and move to dismiss prospective jurors. This recalls the expressionless (stone) faces of the players hiding the bones at the Stick Game while ‘looking through’ the game pointer in the midst of a social event that otherwise exhibits anything except symptoms of autism; vibrant, alive, affiliative, in every sense social.
This brings up a question; how is it people who are perfectly, normally functional in their own social setting actually appear to manifest classic symptoms of autism in certain circumstance and generally elsewhere?
One factor is training. Generation upon generation of training that is finally become millennia of socialization that is uniquely different to Western; simply described as ‘there is no pretense to understand and know what is unknown.’ “I don’t know you” explains it all. There is no posturing, no social niceties involving deceits or hypocrisy concealing environmental ignorance.
Here it could be noted there had been no lie involved in the indigenous ‘mating game’ when contrasted to Western culture where one or both parties ‘put on’ their ‘best face’ (lie) in a courtship that too often sees the liar relax into their actual (inferior) selves once the ‘hook has been set’ and the romance morphs into a typical dysfunctional nightmare of ‘marriage.’ In the Native way, mating was established via consistently growing a mutually respectful friendship that is honest from the outset; in a culture where millennia of developing truthful reporting had been paramount to survival.
Related to the preceding is the fact facial recognition comes second to knowledge; knowledge of kinship in the first instance, that is to say immersion in one’s community (cosmos) determines whether you are recognized or able to recognize others; a survival ‘technique’ evolved to weed out danger that perfectly mimics autism. Without an established sense of kinship, when dislocated from one’s community, facial recognition is shut down by the brain where other, more important factors take over, threat assessment is paramount. Facial recognition, finally, is assigned to persons with certain qualities in an environment one knows & understands.
At least, that is the end result. But there is more (there is always more but this book will conclude soon, everything must end someday, somewhere.)
“Infrasound frequencies can .. enter the brain without passing through the hearing organ, entraining the brainwave rhythm into an Alpha-Theta state”
This preceding quote, from the study ‘Fireplace and Holy Altar in Curiceta at Apuan Alps, Italy’, demonstrates ‘pre-civilized’ peoples separated by vast distances were aware of the alpha-theta states’ relationship to physical reality in a macro-cosmic sense. The so-called (by the Western culture) ‘altered’ states of consciousness had been an integral part and parcel of cognitive human intelligence development since the dawn of time; and only recently became finally subverted since Plato’s misapprehension of reality (objectivity via Western science) had overtaken the world. What is this modern mentality missing, where is the organic deficit to be identified?
“Their ability to keep time gives them an intuitive understanding of the rhythmic patterns they perceive all around them”
Or so it is asserted by the article ‘The Neuro-Science of Drumming’ which goes on to note:
“…drumming ultimately has therapeutic value, providing the emotional and physical benefits collectively known as “drummer’s high,” an endorphin rush that can only be stimulated by playing music, not simply listening to it. In addition to increasing people’s pain thresholds, Oxford psychologists found, the endorphin-filled act of drumming increases positive emotions and leads people to work together in a more cooperative fashion”
Do the Western cultures ‘collectively’ drum? Other than some minority (very small) movements of ‘feminized’ Western masculine mentalities, along the lines of the phony anthropology movement generated by Robert Bly, not really. Besides, what would the split psyche of the Indo-European do with the so-called ‘shamanic’ (New Age, actually) drumming into the theta state? Insofar as a practical matter, the Western shaped individual ego drumming into altered state doesn’t come any closer to reality than an adolescent boy masturbating to pornography; the endorphin rush is a fleeting high and that’s the all of it. They experience orgasm and it’s done, the story’s end.
The misassumptions are astounding wherein another article’s title asserts ‘Experiment Proves Why Staying In Tune With The Earth’s Pulse Is Key To Our Well Being’ whilst noting:
“the frequency of the earth was an exact match with the frequency of the human brain”
The automatic assumption is the Earth is providing the pulse, not the reverse, but in fact the collective drive of human consciousness is perfectly (or imperfectly, as the case may be) capable of establishing (or corrupting, as the case may be) the Earth’s frequency and this brings us to ‘Native’ drumming and how it differs from that of the Western assumptions. Rather the article’s title might have been ‘keeping ourselves tuned to a healthy pulse is key to the Earth’s wellbeing’ or highlighting that pesky problem Western culture has with assuming responsibility where all is not forgiven.
Excepting certain forms of Stick Game, e.g. a form historically related to training for manhunting in inter-tribal combats (devolved into gambling), altogether differing from other forms such as intra-tribal dispute resolution, an indigenous COLLECTIVE mentality drums into a single COLLECTIVE conscious state where it is perfectly understood by this COLLECTIVE intelligence that this is NOT an ‘altered’ state (Western concept) but an enhanced state of creating reality that is typical of everyday life. Most indigenous ceremony, with its attending drumming, is as simple as recalibration, or fine tuning to the concept of life itself, in all of its larger complexity, to what is invariably demanded to be sensible outcome for the whole of the cosmos. Robert Bly’s Jungian ‘wild man’ notwithstanding, there is precisely zero individual imperative can become part of this.
In the fall of 1983, I was listening to a couple of four year old Indian kids who were Blackfeet Head Start Program (preschool) classmates. They were ‘arguing’ (if it can be called that) over a girl at school. The one kid finally said “There’s nothing can be done about it, she chose me.” The other boy’s reply was “I’d punch you out, but you’re my best friend.”
It was a recent communication with one of those kids, these days a ‘light skinned Indian’ immersed in the dominant culture where people automatically assume he is ‘white’, recalled the conversation.
This acquaintance had now related to me his cross-cultural experience of discovering the well adapted psychopath is the sanest person one could know in the Western culture, nearly everyone else, at some level, seems to be loud, space invading aliens, or worse, energy draining ‘emo traps’ in close relationships of most sort, whether at work, in so-called ’friendships’ or otherwise. The socially well adapted psychopaths weren’t trapped in affective empathy or its’ close relative, sympathy. This tripped some sort of switch in my head and I started looking more closely at an inter-cultural cultural phenomenon that is a radical contrast I’ve yet to see written about anywhere: Why is it Native American Indians grieve from the belly as opposed to ‘white people’ (Western mentalities generally) grieve from the heart? Moreover, the Indians seldom grieve but when they do, it makes the Westerner’s grieving look like ‘mourning lite.’ Meanwhile, the stereotype is the primitive, ‘stoic Indian’ versus ‘civilized humanity.’
Now, back to the kids. That very short conversation, of which I’ve only given the last two sentences before the subject was dropped and the kids’ play moved on to other subject, points to a process in cultural shaping that more resembles training to be well adjusted, culturally integrated psychopaths than anything else (from Western psychology point of view.) In the Indians, LOYALTY TO YOUR FRIENDSHIPS (a clone of the socially well adjusted psychopath’s unwavering-unforgiving loyalty demand in close association) in community is paramount and supersedes all else in governing oneself in relation to everything in one’s human social surroundings. “There’s nothing to be done about it, she chose me” is the end of the story, no broken heart is experienced by the second kid, there is no ‘affective’ anything, no real anger, no self-pity. Preserving the loyalty and respect entailed in authentic friendship (indistinguishable from kinship) is paramount.
What’s more is, practical friendship (experienced as a principled, hyper-respectful and ethics driven loyalty in the Indian social experience) governs conjugal relationships as well, Western romance is an alien and strange concept that finds no traction in the culturally intact native community.
The ancient indigenous culture provides ZERO space for self pity or any emotion that is supportive of sympathy in a Western sense. In the true native pidgin English, the word ‘pity’ is purely and only pejorative. In a cultural philosophy of what works versus what doesn’t work (as opposed the moralizing ‘right & wrong’) feeling sorry for people is a non-starter.
No excuses! Does this mean the ‘stoic Indian’ doesn’t mature into a being experiencing emotion? Well, yes and no, let’s say (if only to be brief in this moment) they’re wired differently and emotion is triggered differently, experienced differently and utilized differently.
As it happened, when this line of thinking took off in my head, I had been pondering how it is autism, in some of it’s forms, are pretty much non-events insofar as areas of concern in Indian country but rather reflect predilection to a certain intelligence that is useful. In fact, it should be said the culturally intact Native American is shaped, through socialization & training, to SELECT FOR autism, albeit a high functioning autism.
In Western culture, on the other hand, body language and facial expression often (very often) do not line up with spoken language in environment where actions very frequently do not match words. This pervasive deceit triggers paramount survival instinct in the Indian, mimicking autistic traits.
Because the ancient indigenous psychology cannot reconcile the Western ‘split’ (does not possess the same mental structure & constructs stemming from the Indo-European psychology of ‘duality’), there is vocal and other communications shut-down when exposed to (sometimes in casual interactions with, and especially immersion in) the Western culture that does not occur within the culturally intact indigenous social context.
Historically, from the outside (Western) view, this is the origin of the ‘Taciturn Indian’ stereotype. This raises questions in my thinking:
Is Asperger’s actually ‘genetic’ or is it simply an inter-generational phenomenon that might have genetic predisposition and socialization elements that could derive solely from either depending on circumstance?
Would the otherwise healthy but triggered ’taciturn’ native phenomenon be diagnosed as a form of autism from a clinical Western perspective if subjected to alien cultural immersion that ‘blinds’ the Western researcher?
Would there be other identifiable markers, such as the indigenous community phenomenon of families and extended families (clans) countless generations cultivating a peculiar (to that clan) intelligence that can be related to a more classical observation of Asperger’s repetitive behaviors & interests? Recalling the Western perception of hunter-gatherers they clearly do not understand when making comparisons…
“Both solitary mammals and autistic individuals are low on measures of gregariousness, socialization, direct gazing, eye contact, facial expression, facial recognition, emotional engagement, affiliative need and other social behaviors”
…this IS really interesting but more than 1/2 wrong, due to missing information from the (non-existent) inter-cultural transmission of understanding or social organization in the hunter-gathering context.
Gregariousness and socialization should register as normal if the subject is not separated from the indigenous context, which is, of course, different. Direct gazing (staring eye contact as opposed to eye contact that is not ‘locked on’) is construed as aggressive (literally predatory) behavior as would be experienced between predators of different species (especially) or enemy (territorial competition) groups. Aversion of eye contact is a behavior meant to deescalate tension. There is no point in taking on a panther if it is in any way unnecessary, example given. Also avoidance of eye contact is a form of submission and respect, such as when a young man would seek & listen to the advice of a matriarch (grandmother) where he would put his head down to demonstrate he is intently listening.
The eye contact and facial expression within the social group is there but qualified; this hunter-gatherer DOES NOT SMILE SHOWING TEETH.
Facial recognition is misconstrued by the Western anthropological researcher, wherein this aspect of the indigenous requires understanding of relationships (kinship) to receive, and then must be in a socially intelligent way, for instance at the Stick Game the stone faces presented to the opposing players within the larger context of the easily expressed joy of community entertainment; with lots of eye contact and facial recognition surrounding the stone-faced (expressionless) ‘combatants.’ In this context, the onlookers emotional engagement (joking, laughing) is quite free and uninhibited in HAPPINESS (grief is expressed in entirely different context, of course.) Any anger arising from the game play (misunderstanding and/or cheating) is immediately diffused by those present recognized as qualified judges (I held this social rank of a judge at stick game, requiring not only master level understanding of the game, but also indelible good character.)
It follows, the ‘affiliative need’ of the ancient hunter-gatherer when assessing for traits would be entirely missed in any assessment when studied from outside the indigenous social context. Perhaps related to this, in the more unassimilated (culturally intact) families, to recent times there had been literal ‘grooming’ in the anthropological sense, fairly identical to other ‘higher primates.’ This would never be observed by any outsider due to the automatic tension (however subtle) present in unaffiliated persons presence (no recognizable kinship.) This ‘grooming’ phenomenon was prevalent with/between the women, a very interesting cultural marker perhaps reinforcing a principle within the nuclear family units of an ancient culture originating within the devolved hierarchal principles of matriarchy.
“As a result of their special interests, strong focus, hyperfocus, and perseverance, people with ASD [autism spectrum disorder] can have encyclopedic knowledge in a particular area, and tend to be autodidacts with a lot of self-acquired skills. Their particular—often novel—way of thinking combined with their fixations result in many people with ASD being considered experts in very particular subjects”
This preceding quote from the Forbes article ‘Research Shows That People With Autism Have A Stronger Aptitude For Focusing On Tasks’
Autodidact is practically a pillar of Native American education; where people are trained from the youngest age to pursue independent problem solving; in circumstance of children given the tools to understand (opportunity to observe complex process) and expected to initiate correct solutions of their own accord. Upon millennia continuity, one might expect genetic predisposition should play in this socially shaped characterization.
In short, the evolutionary selection for a community that actually cannot be penetrated in any effective sense of study by a Western culture that factually shuts off access for the fact of triggering threat assessment mechanisms that are as old as the evolution of intelligence itself, points to the native view of the Western peoples as devoid of fundamental tools of survival at the meta level; in short, as dumbed down as the domesticated animals they have bred to point of helpless without hands on caregivers.
In a system where the ‘un-split’ brain is organized into the androgynous intelligence of integration to the larger sentient awareness of its surroundings, it should make sense Indian people would be aware of the danger inherent in mistaken ‘collective’ thinking and the consequences.
it would also make sense that simply encountering such people as the Westerners would trigger a HEALTHY state of threat assessment.
The foundation for the preceding paragraph had been laid throughout the text of this work; where from a tribal perspective it should be easy to see evidence all around us, example given, the creation of an artificial ‘super-consciousness’ determines the collective belief of fundamental Western monotheism is marching the world to Armageddon. But this is a minor example of possibilities where it is also realistic to expect in the absence of a proper & healthy pulse, the planet itself will convulse in such a way as to absolutely cleanse itself and begin again. Or perhaps be pronounced dead.

cz
outside comfort zone- V -outside comfort zone
ceremonial ‘hemi-sync’ ^ ^ error recording principle
’cz’ is the ‘comfort zone’ and the V in the center represents ‘psychological sight.’ As a metaphor, we can say, the eyes are at the point (bottom) of the V and people who depend on Cartesian-Platonic thought (modality) and consequent shaped, narrow perception, have their field of vision contained or restricted within the V or comfort zone. The same could be said for all of those whose mentalities had been shaped by Catholicism and its several schisms (spin-offs.) In a manner of speaking, the two are Siamese twins.
The material I have ‘thumb-nailed’ into this small work could be developed into quite the book (I almost certainly won’t write) detailing a by far greater understanding. In regards to this, just a few things should be mentioned.
The vast gulf of understanding between the ancient indigenous American and modern Western reflects 40,000 years separation according to a source I trust (and goes against nearly all modern anthropology.)
“When North America was an ice-age tundra, the first Americans were “cooking” their cultures in the tropical south, moving northward and settling as the glaciers retreated, according to new linguistic evidence from indigenous languages throughout the New World.
“The evidence suggests that humans have been in the Americas for a very long time, perhaps 40,000 years. It also suggests that most native American languages derived from Ice Age inhabitants who were isolated in the Western Hemisphere for many millennia.
“Only along the west coast do languages appear to come from immigrants who arrived after the Ice Age 14,000 years ago, a Berkeley linguist reports” [1], [2]
Relevant to the preceding the Chinese oracle I-Ching shares identical mathematics principles with the Native American stick game oracle (which is originally only found in the Western tribes of North America.) [3]
The widespread concept of fear known throughout Western culture was unknown to the ancient ways depicted in the this work’s text; where ‘fear’ was tied to the error recording principle and differentiated from survival instinct. In Western culture, the two are widely conflated and intensified:
“what Europeans brought into this land of the ontology of the Gift was the experience of fear … one reason that alcohol took such hold on the Native American community was that it helped people to deal with this new experience of fear” [4]
What might help to distinguish these differing experience is the Blackfoot understanding of close encounters with a bear. The rule is “you talk to them.” There is a story of Charles ‘Chuck’ Jonkel had been tracking a bear with cubs above the village of West Glacier, Montana, (I believe it is was on Strawberry Mountain) when suddenly, as quick as you can snap your fingers, the sow had his forearm in her mouth; he’d come to close to her in dense brush, without realizing. Not panicking, he began speaking to the bear in gentle tones, profusely apologizing for the intrusion. The bear let him go because he did not fear. Judging from the photo attending his obituary at the footnoted link, he’d likely learned his ‘native survival instinct’ from Indians. [5]
In the ancient ways, spoken language had been considered so powerful in relation to the channels & strings, restrictions were placed on subjects to be discussed, and how and when. This resulted in a habit of ‘euphemism’ where, for instance if speaking of a Grizzly Bear (casually), you did not speak the bear’s proper name but referred to that animal as a “big badger”, so as to avoid drawing the actual subject’s attention.
Relevant to this immediate preceding, it should be noted ‘sight precedes language’ in the native world of understanding; reading the clockwork’s coordination in the energies does not require spoken language nor does interacting with the same. It is this reporters guess the Native American hand language (of silence) is as old as the understanding of channels and strings or at least 40,000 years (and probably older than that.)
Fear, on the other hand, was a limited concept having to do with making mistakes (error recordings.) To this subject I will recall an anecdote of the time a chief of the Blood Indians, I won’t say his name, had been prepared a root medicine (potion) by the women of the Horn Society. He was afraid of it and simply kept it in his kitchen, also afraid to throw it away. The modern chiefs are notoriously corrupt and apparently this chief felt trapped. His rationale was if this potion was to help him but the people preparing it knew he had made some mistake, it could actually be meant to kill him.
Where the channels & strings make up a universal framework, there were differing specializations built in to this phenomenon that likely are (or were) genetic predisposition. This would, example given, reflect in the clan name you were born into, for instance if you were born into the ‘worm’ clan, the name points to a predisposition that, if destined to be properly developed, should metamorphosis into the butterfly or a gifted dreamer, in effect a receiver of the universe’s intuitive knowledge.
Finally, it had been the old ladies protection is what kept this reporter alive. For whatever reasons (never confessed to myself) there were several of the more (most?) knowledgeable elder women (remnant of the matriarchal chiefs) put out the word through the young men of their respective families: “Make certain Ron comes to no harm.” This recalls my first living among the Blackfeet and the old woman who took me as her son without so much as a question but only a statement of fact: “The spirit told us you would come.”

Stargate Project Part Three
This series began with referencing a story of contemporary Russian military ‘combat’ parapsychology efforts discussing the American Defense Intelligence Agency’s ‘former’ research into the paranormal phenomenon called “remote Viewing” (the real focus of the Zerohedge story, for lack of information on the Russian side.) This author has taken the story forward to develop its’ implications for what is named “Transcendent Warfare” in a paper for the Marine Corps War College discussing the ‘discontinued’ Stargate Program.
Part three explores the actual possibilities available to the modern mentality; or so-called ‘civilized’ states’ pursuit of Stargate type programs exploring a ‘transcendent warfare’ understanding, within the severely constricted Cartesian-Platonic cultural paradigm.
they would ‘literally’ see you coming
Ceremonial ‘remote viewing’ translates to English across the several Northern plains tribes as the ‘telescope lodge.’ This had been an authentic practice deriving from ancient times. In the modern era it is problematic for a few reasons, not least because it has become a widely faked practice. [1]
Setting aside the out & out fakes, there should be those natives assimilated to Western culture to some degree (one hates to say ‘damaged’) who retain a higher than average (compared to Western psychics) ability to ‘see’, if for no other reason than there had not yet been enough generations of these linages stamped out by Christianity. If these parties had access to the original laws (oral tradition, sans training) concerning this ‘sight’, they should know the rule: each time this sight is used frivolously, one day is subtracted from your life expectancy.
Then, there are those surviving bonafide practitioners, properly trained in the tradition of sight, aware of the web’s energy strings and possessed of the ability to see the ‘energies.’ The implications for the Western investigator seeking this knowledge, if they only knew the actual score, would be something larger than profound; for the fact these indigenous high practitioners actually do exist but for the Western world, they might as well not exist, because you could not ‘see’ them. This paradox of invisibility I am pointing to is, these particular people would literally ‘see’ you coming, not merely as some individual but with all of your attending ‘energies.’ This fact would automatically shut off all transfer of information to anyone associated with ‘error recordings’ in a macro-cosmic sense. Let me explain:
Accumulated small ‘error recordings’, although nearly unknown in the past, are common today because Western culture has determined ‘selection pressure’ for intelligence is no longer applied to the community in either; the social-cultural context (leadership), or its’ closely associated natural context (survival exterior to the village.) The rude (honest) manner of stating this phenomenon of the current era would be ‘morons abound.’ We’re used to seeing this in the modern times, very few individuals remain in a state of integrity providing a clean (error free) light. Altogether different to this ‘dull’ light is another error recording reflected (one could say) in intense light; there is no escape when your mistake is large, it cannot be concealed. Anyone associated with a project like Stargate, or other project, seeking method that short-cuts or otherwise ‘cheats’ (records errors into their light concerning) those avenues the living macrocosmic system actually offers, should discover their pilgrimage into the actuality of the ancient world’s learning continue to vanish before their eyes; like a mirage. None of the practitioners still fluent in the truly ancient ways would wish to ‘dirty’ their own light by opening to anyone with severe, recorded mistakes. Just exposing themselves can damage their abilities. Cultural anthropology could never ‘find’ these people (they could not authentically open), it simply never worked. With the real priests of the knowledge ruled out, what you’re left with in any search for keys to transcendent warfare (exploitation) is the intermediate level practitioners (between the fakes and the real) or what Floyd HeavyRunner (High Priest of Okan) called “The Witches.”
forbidden practices
Mel Gibson’s Catholic hypocrisy concerning Meso-American civilizations (noting the Christian civilization’s ritual cannibalism called “Communion”) should not be construed to extend ‘savagery’ to those native nations who’d not strayed from the lessons of the ‘living clock’ briefly encapsulated in the preceding pages. In fact, the Blackfoot prohibition on cannibalism is *at minimum* 12,000 years old, dating to the story of the cannibal witch ai-ta-pyooyi and her attempted escape from justice by crossing a river while riding on the back of a mammoth (the mammoth submerged and she was swept away by the current and drowned.) [2], [3]
It follows, we should look at the Ancient system in a light of ethics outside of stereotype, including stereotype produced by Western anthropology.
The fact of a knowledge of ‘sorcery’ (a superstitious misnomer, authentic practices would be based in easily understood principles of Western science if there were no Cartesian-Platonic misconception called ‘objectivity’) is inescapable in the journey of learning in the ancient way. For many millennia, social ethics practice prohibited its’ employ. These prohibitions had been based in a superior understanding of consequence due to ‘error recordings’ connected to ‘energy strings’ where deliberate machinations (as well, lesser mistakes) exterior to ‘permissions’ (permitted avenues) should invariably lead to disaster. This recalls the anecdote where a ‘whiteman’ (a light-skinned Indian misidentified as such) had been insulted at ceremony by a racist Native American. The ‘offended party’ actually took no offense but was well aware of the higher order of rules; remaining calm and ‘perfectly’ not reacting (not recording the mistake into himself), it was a few hours only and the the offender was notified his mother had, just a few hours before, suddenly and unexpectedly died.
Because ‘the energy string’ could not ‘attach’ to the target of the insult, it rebounded to the source the problem; in a culture (matriarchy) where women are the disciplinarians, in this particular instance the energy ‘dead-ended’ at its’ source or in the party who’d failed to adequately instill proper behaviors in the offender. Ceremony transcending the space-time continuum accentuated this (made it immediate.) In the ancient way, insults are considered to be a form of petty sorcery (referencing the English term ‘curse’), and because of the phenomenon of energy strings, sorcery in an indigenous context is a dangerous business, recalling the old West frontier wisdom ‘it would be smarter to outright kill an Indian, than to insult him.’
In light of this (immediate preceding) bit touching on the intelligence agencies’ exploring the possibilities of “transcendent warfare”, while seeking to circumvent the space-time continuum via the so-called “hemi-sync” device, it will do to give a first hand example of indigenous ceremony relevant to this.
There is an (largely unknown to the anthropologists) ancient (by oral history account 900 or more years) antecedent to the ‘Ghost Dance’ of Wovoka, to which this reporter (yours truly) was apprenticed to a priest for eleven years (Fall of 1981 through 1992.) During one of these events on upper Cut Bank Creek above Starr School on the Blackfeet Reservation in Montana, USA, there was a knock on the door of the ceremonial house which was unusual because during ceremony the rule is an open door, no knocking. Sitting closest to the door, I opened it to a young woman asking for help, there had been an automobile wreck and people were hurt. The main room this door opened to was crowded, with many ceremonial attendees, and as I turned to ask who would be able to assist, people were already moving towards the door to go out and help, everyone had seen and heard the person at the door. But no one was there. The young woman had vanished from plain sight in open terrain. Her description fit one of the victims of a car accident two years previously, only a short distance from the house. These are (or had been) frequent occurrences in the pre-Western indigenous experiential context.
The qualitative difference between the artificial lab experiments or “hemi-sync” and the ceremony is quite large; when the entire group is in the channel opened in the space-time continuum, without ‘projection’ or motivation to investigate and/or manipulate, there is little danger posed to those who keep within the ceremonial rules where the window is opened and closed. On the other hand, one can only speculate (in case of classified records) whether some of the ‘hemi-sync’ experiments resulted in ‘lost’ mentalities where there had been projection of the person’s awareness to place unknown where they became trapped in out-of-body experience (couldn’t find their way back), perhaps had their awareness dismantled or destroyed, or at the other end, became opened to what only could be called ‘possession’ in the Western religious sense. Because the Western lab begins from the premise…
“a training system designed to bring enhanced strength, focus and coherence to the amplitude and frequency of brainwave output between the left and right hemispheres so as to alter consciousness, moving it outside the physical sphere so as to ultimately escape even the restrictions of time and space. The participant then gains access to the various levels of intuitive knowledge which the universe offers”
…but there is clearly no foundational or working understanding of just what it is ‘the universe offers’ in a program that recklessly risks the unknown, seeking to exploit reality parameters for the purposes of espionage and “transcendent warfare.” This approach would be best abandoned for a limited understanding of the energy strings exploited by common sorcery.
Sorcery in the modern world is a much degenerated practice when juxtaposed to that prohibited by the ancients. In this respect, an understanding of sorcery should be framed in such a way as to circumvent the modern (church invented) stereotype blaming pagan practices which were likely something altogether different than the charges promulgated by their accusers. Authentic pre-Christian ceremony and sorcery in the indigenous American hunter-gatherer sense had been mutually exclusive concepts, any bonafide sorcerer would steer clear of authentic ceremony and the priests of the indigenous philosophies disallowed the practice. [4]
Reframing the concept returns us to the most ancient stories of a time when the women’s law (matriarchy) came into being and the capital punishment for a woman (a law made by women, for women) was the cutting off of the nose to make the living person resemble a skull. This terrible act is as old as the stories of a time when women were possessed of a power that could kill with simple focus and projected thought: “I put my finger through that person.”
On the other hand, men required more effort to perform a fatal act of sorcery, they needed to draw the attention of the victim in some way as to generate fear, setting up an energy string for exploitation. One method to do this would be to poke a sharp stick into a man’s footprint in circumstance where the intended victim should notice and discover one of his arrows had been stolen, modified & used against him. The arrowhead might have been removed and used on another arrow to superficially wound, not fatally, a dangerous animal, perhaps a bear. The intended victim would not explicitly know this second part of the act of sorcery but would *sense* a crime committed that should trigger fear in future encounter. Exploiting the principles of ‘energy strings’ (spinning an unnatural line in the web) this way, the criminal actor exploits fear; and depending on the level of ‘error recordings’ in the victim, (the knowledge of the victim he has uncorrected mistakes), this sequence of events could easily lead to death, whether by an actual bear in surprise encounter via the artificial energy channel tied to any bear encountered sensing this person as a threat, to the fear concept’s methylation of the victim’s DNA causing a cancer, or the associated mental distress and preoccupation causing a loss of ‘sight’ and consequent inattention in circumstance leading to a fatal outcome. On the other hand, if the intended victim was possessed of ‘clean light’ (no, or minimal & faint, error recordings), the act of sorcery should backfire and dead end with (terminate) the initiator. Sorcery was (and is) a dangerous business. [5]
Were the preceding to be experimented with, example given, by the micro-organism sized, ethical personalities running DARPA, one should expect a lab fire of unprecedented scale. It is small wonder ‘civilization’ appears suicidal.
a re-posit of sod’s or murphy’s law
Briefly returning to the ‘remote viewing’ phenomenon, juxtaposed to the idea of ‘energy strings’ and sorcery, it should be stated in introduction to this last section of part three they are both; channels and strings that open like channels and vibrate like strings. I would use the metaphor of light is both a particle and a wave. Remote viewing (and more radically, ‘hemi-sync’) & ceremony employs this phenomenon as a channel, sorcery employs these ‘avenues’ as strings. [6]
When ceremony ‘opens a window’, this is not projective, but specific to invitation created for visitors called (in the common vernacular) ‘spirits.’ In other words, a ceremonial ‘safe space’ is created where our ancestors mingle with the ‘present’ people and (if there is a future) the ‘future’ people (for whom we are the ancestors.) The ‘qualified’ equivalent of ‘hemi-sync’ we create as ceremonial people is a synchronizing of the GROUP via ceremonial behaviors inclusive of several acts related to relics & taboos. We know who we are dealing with via the relics, and the taboos keep unwanted lanes shut. We know how it is to be done. All of this is, in a sense, passive. Invitations only are broadcast, and only down known lanes.
When space-time is ‘transcended’ *exterior to* certain principles recognized and practiced in the preceding, that is to say in the Cartesian-Platonic lab, Richard Dawkins denial notwithstanding, it is an invitation to Murphy as the Whiteman’s god of havoc. These people simply put, will have no idea whatsoever which and/or what sort of energies will have found their way into our space-time continuum. How it all plays out is anyone’s guess. [7]
return to the women
Noting it was a Russian politician divulged the existence of paranormal battle formations and a Russian general denied this, I would side with the politician as it is entirely possible remote viewing channels were employed and *expanded* to suggest certain actions, concealed as intuitive thought, while, example given, directing a certain NATO frigate into the inexplicable (other than attributable to Murphy’s Law) collision that sank it. This proposed scenario should require close, coordinated attention to detail provided in real time through highly gifted (probably female) mediums, and it would be complex and rely on a convergence of circumstance to succeed. Did it happen? If it did, we’ll likely never know. [8]
Another means of defining ‘sorcery’ in the ancient indigenous sense would be to identify those individuals who step outside of the group (social) taboo parameters or separate (isolate) themselves while retaining a high understanding of the use of channels and strings. It was known to happen.
The qualitative difference from ancient to today, concerning the preceding, is stark; the indigenous cultures (everywhere) are in a constant state of drift out of alignment (synchronization with) the natural order and (at best) into a locked down imbalance of logos (Jungian sense), no matter if ‘liberal’, nonetheless representing the Western ‘split & separation’ of the psyche. From the Western (mistaken) view, this could be seen as a sort of self-healing herniation, with the (now autonomous) female intelligence in ever shrinking state. Within the resultant male hierarchical order, the most effective talent pool for manipulation of the energy strings should be found in those organically intelligent women least educated in Cartesian-Platonic methodology and had avoided intense indoctrination into monotheism (the two ‘offenders’ representing a kind of psychologically malignant, male-narcissist, homosexual coupling.) In other words, those women (of good character) least shaped into the collective Western male psychology. An intuitive sense of kinship with nature would be important.
Drawing from this talent pool, going on to manipulate the Cartesian-Platonic ‘god of havoc’ (Murphy), there subsequently could be an effective, collective sorcery method employing the web as strings (as opposed to channels) that could be devastating in the employ of war.
The method would be to ‘spoof’ (mimic) the principle of ‘error recording’ where, example given, one’s enemy force concealed a ‘rape culture’ in a literal-factual sense (not unusual in the Western civilization’s history of military.) Also, that force represented an empirically demonstrable, covetous nature and threat, opposed to one’s own community well-being (interpreted by these women as a threat to the feminine nature.)
The caveat-obstacle to this next would be, your own force would have to be nearly lily-white (clean) and free of hypocrisy in regards to the preceding (rape culture absolutely NOT tolerated) for this next to be effective.
It could be so simple as to have these ‘good character’ female ‘brigades’ retreat to their most comfortable locations in nature, with bare feet on the ground (or otherwise somehow integrated with touch), and meditate with a visceral hate towards their perceived enemies, emphasizing chaos, thereby activating an ‘error recording’ principle or greater selection pressure onto the opposing force. In circumstance where there is clear delineations (without or minimal hypocrisy), counter-attacks should be automatically repelled and returned via the strings resulting in ‘termination’ events (failed to penetrate the ‘clean light’ or good character element of the error recording principle.)
[4] The modern exception to the prohibition on sorcery is the stick game, where the now prohibited man-hunting sport in inter-tribal warfare (a sort of ongoing inter-tribal Olympics) has found a new home via sorcery in the ‘money games’ perversion of what had originally been an oracle based on the ‘energy strings’ permeating all that is. See the chapter on stick game from Penuquem Speaks for a detailed use of this knowledge in the game context: https://ronaldthomaswest.com/2014/04/02/the-stick-game/

September 2021 update: human footprints dated to 23,000 years ago found in New Mexico… and so the boners for Beringia must someday become flaccid. Moving forward, we see evidence that resembles the black comedian’s joke who’d once stated “Denial ain’t just a river in Egypt” when it comes to the Western ‘science’ of anthropology:
“Here we present results of recent excavations at Chiquihuite Cave—a high-altitude site in central-northern Mexico—that corroborate previous findings in the Americas10,11,12,13,14,15,16,17of cultural evidence that dates to the Last Glacial Maximum (26,500–19,000 years ago)18, and which push back dates for human dispersal to the region possibly as early as 33,000–31,000 years ago. The site yielded about 1,900 stone artefacts within a 3-m-deep stratified sequence, revealing a previously unknown lithic industry that underwent only minor changes over millennia”
Pre-Bering land bridge hypothesis (17,000 year old) DNA has been identified in a Blackfoot man in Montana:
“Crawford’s DNA story suggests his ancestors came from the Pacific, traveled to the coast of South America and traveled north”
19,000 year old stone tools have been found at precisely the wrong end of the Americas (southern Chile), so yeah, where were those ‘land bridge’ North Americans prior to 14,500 years ago? As well, several Amazon tribes have been discovered to be the most closely related (of all modern peoples) to the Austral-Asian peoples of Papua and Australia; with no comparable (or even remote) intermediate genetic relationships to the north of their Amazon location until you get to the Aleutian Islands and a population of late arrivals from Siberia. The most common sense explanation is the ancestral Austral-Asian type found in the Amazon tribes’ genetics journeyed to South America about the same period as Papua and Australia were initially peopled (40,000 to 60,000 years ago.) But, all those anthropologists with ‘Boners for Beringia’ have stretched logic (and inflated their credulity) by insisting these Amazon tribes genetics could only have arrived via Siberia within the last 15,000 years; while ignoring “New Evidence Puts Man in North America 50,000 Years Ago.” There are numerous problems with the 15,000 years ‘mainstream’ postulate; it ignores evidence from linguistics, it ignores other cultural evidence, it ignores physical evidence, and most of all, it ignores the primitive and nativistic nature of western empiricism’s roots.
What began this rant is, an example of White on White denial. God forbid a handful of White people might have been in North America 12,000 years ago … because this would put a big dent in the ego of the White people who were concerned a mere 500+ years ago they might sail off the edge of the flat Earth. Never mind Copernicus and Galileo had some idea things like our planet might be round and rotating around the Sun a hundred or two hundred years before that. If White people had made it from Europe to North America in the ancient past, before earliest rise of so-called ‘Western Civilization’, what does that say about the White people whose science was killing their patients with blood-letting doctors as recently as 200 years ago? So, what is the example of recent hysterical denial of anthropology in relation to this? An 18 month old boy, found in Montana, who’d buried more than 12,000 years ago. Oh, and the fact he wasn’t White. This find, as posed by science, doesn’t square with Native Oral History and in the same moment, if you look at some facts conveniently ignored, suddenly it does square with Blackfoot Oral history but the anthropologists will flush this down the commode (like a junkie with the police at his door) at every opportunity. More on this, but first:
There is completely ignored (by physical & cultural anthropologists) linguistics study from the 1990s, pointing to Native American migration beginning in South America some 40,000 years ago indicating migration from south to north:
“When North America was an ice-age tundra, the first Americans were “cooking” their cultures in the tropical south, moving northward and settling as the glaciers retreated, according to new linguistic evidence from indigenous languages throughout the New World.
“The evidence suggests that humans have been in the Americas for a very long time, perhaps 40,000 years. It also suggests that most native American languages derived from Ice Age inhabitants who were isolated in the Western Hemisphere for many millennia.
“Only along the west coast do languages appear to come from immigrants who arrived after the Ice Age 14,000 years ago, a Berkeley linguist reports”
The linguistics study is consistent with Blackfoot Oral History.
But when advances in DNA supported this preceding study, physical and cultural anthropology couldn’t bring themselves to admit to the possibility, and so they invented ‘trapped in Beringia’ for 20,000 years:
“UF [University of Florida] scientists analyzed DNA sequences from Native American, New World and Asian populations with the understanding that modern DNA is forged by an accumulation of events in the distant past, and merged their findings with data from existing archaeological, geological and paleoecological studies.
“The result is a unified, interdisciplinary theory of the “peopling” of the New World, which shows a gradual migration and expansion of people from Asia through Siberia and into Beringia starting about 40,000 years ago; a long waiting period in Beringia where the population size remained relatively stable; and finally a rapid expansion into North America through Alaska or Canada about 15,000 years ago”
The problem with the preceding is, it does not take into account the languages requiring diffusion over a vast area and the evidence the languages provide pointing to a migration from the south with only the most recent languages making the Siberia connection, and in a limited West coast geography. Unfortunately, the UF “interdisciplinary theory” seems to lack inclusiveness with any study pointing to credible alternatives.
Then we have the Solutrean points of Western Europe:
Working at multiple sites across the continent, researchers found nanodiamonds – microscopic particles thought to be found on comets – in a 13,000-year-old layer of rich sedimentary soil called a “black mat.” Beneath the layer with the nanodiamonds, fossils of the animals are abundant. After that layer, they disappear, West said.
“It’s extraordinary that tens of millions of animals disappeared synchronously at exactly the time when the diamonds and carbon layer are laid down across the continent,” said West, whose co-authors include DePaul University chemist Wendy Wolbach.
Arrowheads and other artifacts from the Clovis culture of humans – an early hunter-gatherer society – also vanish after the black mat was laid down 13,000 years ago
…but has been dismissed by anthropologists claiming the DNA Native Americans hold in common with Paleolithic Western Europeans of roughly the same era cannot have come via the Atlantic route because of another, 24,000 year old, boy found in Southern Siberia (a LONG ways from Beringia) with European genes also has DNA markers common to modern Native Americans:
“Genetically, this individual had no east Asian resemblance but looked like Europeans and people from west Asia. But the thing that was really mind-blowing was that there were signatures you only see in today’s Native Americans”
But the boy can’t be Native American according to land bridge worshiping anthropologists with this far-fetched logic:
“Willerslev’s team suggests that after the ancestors of Native Americans split off from those of east Asians, they moved north. Somewhere in Siberia, they met another group of people coming east from western Eurasia — the people to whom the Mal’ta boy belonged. The two groups mingled, and their descendants eventually travelled east into North America”
The automatic assumption is the South Siberian boy is the ancestral type which did not appear in North America until 10,000 years later, demanding the unique Native American DNA markers arrived via the Bering land bridge only 15,000 years ago. This stretch of the imagination presumes the boy from 24,000 years ago has a bloodline which had come from very far away from where would be expected (Western Europe) and yet absolutely no thought is given to the idea the modern, exclusively Native American DNA match also found in the boy could have originated with a population already in the Americas for 16,000 years prior to the Siberian boys death some 24,000 years ago. In effect, it is demanded by science that if you put a 24,000 year old uniquely Native American bloodline with shared DNA of Western Europe’s Paleolithic people, in southern Siberia, as far from its Western European Paleolithic roots as it is from uniquely Native American matched DNA, it has to be European/Asian precursor of people who later migrated to the Americans and cannot be Native American. The Bering land bridge is demanded to be a one way street and no one is allowed to live on the American side of the bridge prior to 15,000 years past. It never occurs to the anthropologists the Siberian boy might have Native American ancestry which had migrated from the Americas to Siberia within the past 25,000 or so years, no matter how much more sense this might make. It is (direct line) 4,000 miles from Portugal, where you would expect to find the Western European Paleolithic genetic makers (and from where a sea crossing might be made) to Florida and by far more distance overland (via Siberia) west to east than the direct (west to east) 10,000 miles from Portugal to near where the genetically related (to the Siberian) Montana boy was found. The anthropological assumption automatically denies people might have known how to make sea crossings between 12,000 and 40,000 years ago. This specific denial can only be founded on the ethno-centric bias of scientists whose own history indicates a belief in a flat Earth a mere 500+ years past (ok, so this last was a Washington Irving joke but it’s not far off the mark.)
And the insistence there could not have been an Atlantic crossing to explain the European genetic markers is hammered on:
“This new origin story helps to resolve several peculiarities in New World archaeology. For example, ancient skulls found in both North and South America have features that do not resemble those of East Asians. They also carry the mitochondrial haplogroup X, which is related to western Eurasian lineages but not to east Asian ones.
“On the basis of these features, some scientists have suggested that Native Americans descended from Europeans who sailed west across the Atlantic. However, says Willerslev, “you don’t need a hypothesis that extreme””
A simple but undesirable “hypothesis that extreme” of a 4,000 mile sea voyage has been replaced with a hyper-convoluted and much less likely hypothesis a more than the (direct west to east line) 10,000 mile overland trek requiring 20,000 years ‘trapped in Beringia’ to protect the land bridge theory.
Now let’s return to the boy from 12,000+ years ago found in Montana and identified with Clovis culture and the sweeping assumptions surrounding his discovery:
“another theory, supported only by archaeological evidence, was that ancient Native Americans came from people who migrated across the Atlantic Ocean from Western Europe before the last Ice Age—the so-called Solutrean hypothesis. “This genetic study provides unequivocal evidence that this did not happen,” said coauthor Michael Waters, a geoarcheologist at the Texas A&M University
“[the] genome also suggests that modern Native Americans are direct descendants of the Clovis population. The ancient genome is similar to those of peoples from both North and South America, suggesting that a single founding population migrated into the Americas close to the time of the last Ice Age” [in effect, 15,000 years ago]
More hammering by the anthros on killing the Atlantic crossing, they never tire of it but here’s a bit more:
A new DNA study has found sudden explosion of particular male Y chromosomes in the Americas about 15,000 years ago. This would fit nicely with the arrival of Solutrean (i.e. Clovis) technology from Europe…
“The best explanation is that they may have resulted from advances in technology that could be controlled by small groups of men. Wheeled transport, metal working and organised warfare are all candidate explanations that can now be investigated further”
…but the study avoids any mention of the possibility of a Solutrean source of this event in the Americas as though it were plague. But in fact the timeline bears investigating in this regard; if there were a single, small, incursion of Solutrean technology into the Americas around the end of that culture in Europe 16,000 years ago, a 15,000 years ago genetics impact in the Americas is not implausible; as it would take some time for the seed or understanding of the new technology to take hold in a demonstrated way. By 13,500 years ago Clovis has been established. This is not an unreasonable timeline to mesh 3 events; 1) arrival of Solutrean technology 2) associated Y chromosome explosion by those adopting the technology and 3) establishment of Clovis technology.
Going to the western science endemic denial and omission of possibilities, just for a laugh, let’s try this:
In the year 14016, precisely 12,000 years into our post-nuclear world’s future, archaeologists dig up a Native American in the uniform of the French Foreign Legion, in Africa. The automatic assumption could easily be ‘His genetic markers proves the French were Native Americans.’ Or, ‘Black Africans colonized the Central African Republic and exterminated the aboriginal [Native American] inhabitants’ based on a 10,000 years old previous [genetically Black African] find. These scenarios are no more far-fetched than the land bridge worshipers proposals.
The actual problem I’m pointing to here is, culture (and associated tools) are not necessarily race/genetic specific. A sweeping claim based on a single example, the Montana burial, is like determining a French speaking Black African cannot trace his cultural origin to Alsace or Normandy. Culture is not DNA, one cannot be categorically tied to the other. Widely divergent peoples borrow or swap ideas. Now, to a related controversy:
The Clovis culture was proposed to have been wiped out (together with the mega-fauna) by a comet impact, causing the so-called ‘Younger Dryas’ period in archaeology.

This is consistent with Blackfoot Oral History but the Bering land bridge worshipers scream ‘Fantasy!‘ …
“The theory has reached zombie status,” said Professor Andrew Scott from the Department of Earth Sciences at Royal Holloway. “Whenever we are able to show flaws and think it is dead, it reappears with new, equally unsatisfactory, arguments. Hopefully new versions of the theory will be more carefully examined before they are published”

… concerning the comet theory, claiming, among other things, contaminated samples compromised the North American study but required ignoring this multiple continents study:
“We present detailed geochemical and morphological analyses of nearly 700 spherules from 18 sites in support of a major cosmic impact at the onset of the Younger Dryas episode (12.8 ka). The impact distributed ∼10 million tonnes of melted spherules over 50 million square kilometers on four continents. Origins of the spherules by volcanism, anthropogenesis, authigenesis, lightning, and meteoritic ablation are rejected on geochemical and morphological grounds. The spherules closely resemble known impact materials derived from surficial sediments melted at temperatures >2,200 °C. The spherules correlate with abundances of associated melt-glass, nanodiamonds, carbon spherules, aciniform carbon, charcoal, and iridium
“Airbursts/impacts by a fragmented comet or asteroid have been proposed at the Younger Dryas onset (12.80 ± 0.15 ka) based on identification of an assemblage of impact-related proxies, including microspherules, nanodiamonds, and iridium. Distributed across four continents at the Younger Dryas boundary (YDB), spherule peaks have been independently confirmed in eight studies, but unconfirmed in two others, resulting in continued dispute about their occurrence, distribution, and origin. To further address this dispute and better identify YDB spherules, we present results from one of the largest spherule investigations ever undertaken regarding spherule geochemistry, morphologies, origins, and processes of formation. We investigated 18 sites across North America, Europe, and the Middle East, performing nearly 700 analyses on spherules using energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy for geochemical analyses and scanning electron microscopy for surface microstructural characterization. Twelve locations rank among the world’s premier end-Pleistocene archaeological sites, where the YDB marks a hiatus in human occupation or major changes in site use. Our results are consistent with melting of sediments to temperatures >2,200 °C by the thermal radiation and air shocks produced by passage of an extraterrestrial object through the atmosphere; they are inconsistent with volcanic, cosmic, anthropogenic, lightning, or authigenic sources. We also produced spherules from wood in the laboratory at >1,730 °C, indicating that impact-related incineration of biomass may have contributed to spherule production. At 12.8 ka, an estimated 10 million tonnes of spherules were distributed across ∼50 million square kilometers, similar to well-known impact strewnfields and consistent with a major cosmic impact event”
This is also consistent with Blackfoot Oral History as explained to myself by Floyd Heavyrunner in a close association that spanned 37 years:
The Blackfoot precursor people arrived by sea in the very far south during the period of the mega-fauna. They migrated north where they encountered a race of Whites they had inter-married with, and these Whites taught them survival in their new land. Specifically, clearly, they were taught how to make stone points. There also was a celestial impact that destroyed their world together with the mega-fauna and left few survivors. These are the stories of two separate peoples who mingled into one people. What is not clear is whether they met and mingled pre or post impact. The White race they mingled with seems to have been a scarce minority or remnant people, and this fact tends me to believe it was post impact, but we actually do not know. What is clear, from the Blackfoot Oral historical view is, there had been inter-racial and inter-cultural mixing in the Americas. There was an impact event. And it follows, after the impact, there would be large areas of North America vacated of previous life and culture, opening these areas wide to migrants from the south, consistent with the linguistics study cited towards the beginning of this article and Blackfoot Oral History. And a stone point cannot be specific to DNA, no different to French language cannot be specific to the DNA of Northern Europe, millions of Black Africans speak French. Entire Native American tribes now only speak English, pointing to culture (language IS a cultural marker) cannot necessarily be definitively tied to any one populations bloodlines.
“”Everything was both surprising and exciting from the very start,” Pena says. “The first thought that came to my mind was that we had the rule out the possibility of some contamination, although it would be difficult exactly of that kind, since there were no Polynesian individuals in the chain of custody.” Another lab ultimately independently confirmed these findings”
“the ancient Polynesian people who populated Easter Island, or Rapa Nui, were not as isolated as long believed. Scientists who conducted a genetic study, published on Thursday in the journal Current Biology, found these ancient people had significant contact with Native American populations hundreds of years before the first Westerners reached the island in 1722…
“…Genetic data on 27 Easter Island natives indicated that interbreeding between the Rapa Nui and native people in South America occurred roughly between 1300 and 1500.
“We found evidence of gene flow between this population and Native American populations, suggesting an ancient ocean migration route between Polynesia and the Americas,” said geneticist Anna-Sapfo Malaspinas of the Center for GeoGenetics at the University of Copenhagen, who led the study”
And then you have pre-Columbian, American sweet potato migration from Ecuador and Peru to Polynesia:
“Using complementary sets of markers (chloroplast and nuclear microsatellites) and both modern and herbarium samples, we test the tripartite hypothesis. Our results provide strong support for prehistoric transfer(s) of sweet potato from South America (Peru-Ecuador region) into Polynesia”
And then, the bottle gourd is particularly interesting, cultivated in Mexico for 10,000 years:
“Domesticated bottle gourds have been identified in the Americas at sites such as Guila Naquitz in Mexico by ~10,000 years ago. DNA sequences of rinds discovered in precontact America are of the Asian sub-variety” *
Now, the problem with this (for the land bridge worshipers) is Asian bottle gourds are not likely going to drift across the Pacific to Mexico, the currents between subtropical Asia and Subtropical America are predominately the opposite direction:
And what are the chances a sub-tropical plant is going to find its way on foot from south Asia via Siberian climate, across the land bridge and down to Mexico? Pretty far-fetched. The most likely scenario is the bottle gourd came across the Pacific in the possession of a sea-faring people previous to 10,000 years ago. In fact these gourds are found across Polynesia.
And then, the pre-Columbian Polynesian chicken introduction to South America also suggests prevailing currents point away from the gourd floating to sub-tropical regions of the Americas:
“Computer simulations suggest that voyaging eastward from Polynesia in the southern hemisphere where the mid-latitude westerlies are more accessible, is a more likely prospect than a northern route to the Americas. These southern hemisphere voyages would have brought landfalls in the central and southern regions of Chile and could have introduced the Polynesian chicken to South America”
What is interesting in the preceding is, pre-Colombian peoples are acknowledged to have been all over the Pacific, from Polynesia to South America, beginning from the Asian side, up to 4,000 years or farther in the past. So, why not the Atlantic 12,000 years ago? Or the Pacific 40,000 years previous to present? The answer is as simple as looking at your hand in front of your face, it is the ego of a recently primitive culture, represented in Western Anthropology, demands no Native Americans, the peoples whose lives they had destroyed, got anything right, before Copernicus, Galileo and Western culture’s adoption of Plato. But don’t forget, these people’s ‘civilization’ were still burning witches when Columbus landed in the Americas. Solutrean isn’t dead, it merely isn’t proven. But then, neither is much of what is taken as gospel by science proven. I have a good laugh, time to time, when it occurs the people and culture who were burning heretics a mere 500 years ago, hold to anything considered to be a definitive or empirically proven or dis-proven ‘truth.’
How about a ‘litmus test’ of self-veracity for western science? The human appendix was faithfully described by science as a ‘vestigial organ’ for what seemed like a very long time (how many decades? Centuries?) and then an ‘Eureka!’ moment came along within the last decade; the human appendix is a perfectly modern, functional organ whose purpose is restarting the gut flora, following a case of dysentery. It follows, it is immaterial whether Solutrean people were White or Black, whether they possibly walked over ice via Greenland or possibly arrived by sea, or didn’t arrive at all. What is material is, the culture that produced western science, that is to say science itself, in a sense, is still burning heretics.
Meanwhile, the ‘anthros’ discover Australasian blood in Brazil and the Aleutian islands, and (grudgingly) push the ‘first’ Americans arrival back to a possible 23,000 years (whilst ignoring the 50,000 years find), recalling:
19,000 year old stone tools have been found at precisely the wrong end of the Americas (southern Chile), so yeah, where were those ‘land bridge’ North Americans prior to 14,500 years ago? As well, several Amazon tribes have been discovered to be the most closely related (of all modern peoples) to the Austral-Asian peoples of Papua and Australia; with no comparable (or even remote) intermediate genetic relationships to the north of their Amazon location until you get to the Aleutian Islands and a population of late arrivals from Siberia. The most common sense explanation is the ancestral Austral-Asian type found in the Amazon tribes’ genetics journeyed to South America about the same period as Papua and Australia were initially peopled (40,000 to 60,000 years ago.) But, all those anthropologists with ‘Boners for Beringia’ have stretched logic (and inflated their credulity) by insisting these Amazon tribes genetics could only have arrived via Siberia within the last 15,000 years; while ignoring “New Evidence Puts Man in North America 50,000 Years Ago.” There are numerous problems with this ‘mainstream’ postulate; it ignores evidence from linguistics, it ignores other cultural evidence, it ignores physical evidence, and most of all, it ignores the primitive and nativistic nature of western empiricism’s roots.
Relevant to this immediate preceding, it is clear from a BBC article the anthros with Boners for Beringia will never allow for a European (Solutrean) presence as they continue to deny, equivocate, stretch the imagination (in most close minded ways) and otherwise stick to the land bridge ‘scientific’ orthodoxy:
“[So] the fanciful ideas that somehow the Americas were populated by people coming from Europe and all kinds of other places are wrong”
But now that we have Australasian commonality (recalling culture transits populations entirely independent of genetics), close your eyes and have a listen to the music of the Malind tribe of West Papua; it is little different to something you would hear at a Blackfoot celebration on America’s Northern Plains:
* Since I’d published an initial version of this analysis as “Apple Indians & Anthropology” (February 2014), the linked article on the bottle-gourd story has been amended to omit the “Asian sub-variety” (dna) quote and changed to emphasize a larger study that essentially buried the result of the study finding pre-Columbian rinds with dna pointing to the Asian variety. What appears to have happened is, by adding in study of modern gourds found in the Americas, the people who insist the bottle gourd floated from Africa to the Americas, essentially are inferring the ancient rinds found with Asian dna are somehow irrelevant because they could not recover some of the genetic information the previous study had identified (one gets the impression there was little motivation to accomplish this), as well the new study shows other problems (an analogy would be to be bury the odd facts that don’t fit the new study as an anomaly within the numbers.)
In the new study, there are several glaring stretches of possibilities on top of the fact the ancient dispersal model does not even consider the possibility of human transport of the gourds by sea; the largest stretch postulates the rare African wild gourd varieties made multiple ancient crossings of the Atlantic on their own in a 10,000 years past window of time that does not appear to have been repeated before or since. Also overlooked is the ‘coincidence’ these gourds had been domesticated in Asia and the Americas for 10,000 years plus but only in Africa much later.
The real conclusion supported throughout is, when it comes to protecting one’s turf, science is as dirty as politics.
I saw in this land an Indian woman and a child who would not stand out among white blonds. These people [of the upper class] say that they were the children of the idols” [gods] – Pedro Pizarro, chronicler of the Spanish conquest of Peru
“The remarks made by Pizarro as to the skin- colour of the Peruvians are very important and, probably, truthful. Today one finds people who claim to be pure Indian in blood who are very light in colour, but it is not possible to be sure that they have not some white blood” Note 139, page 528, The Discovery and Conquest of The Kingdoms of Peru by Pedro Pizarro in Two Volumes, Volume II, translated into English and annotated by Philip Ainsworth Means, The Cortes Society, New York (1921)

‘Apple Indians’ is a wonderful terminology for the not-so-politically-correct. It is a great term when applied to to the politically correct Western anthropology programs disguised with the euphemism ‘Native Studies.’ And here is why:
The term for a Black man translates from Blackfoot language as “Black White Man” and the thought behind this is completely alien to modern western ideation. The Blackfoot “Black White Man” derives from interaction with the Black cavalry regiment stationed north of Browning during the military occupation of the Blackfeet reservation (into the 1930s.) “Black” is descriptive solely in a superficial sense and when coupled to “White”, points directly to European mentality or state of mind and is not primarily concerned with skin color. This is reinforced with the Cree translation for White Man (from ‘moon-e-yas’) being essentially identical concept: “Not like us” in a sense of thought process. This again loops back in identical sense in the proper Blackfoot term for a White Man per se: ‘Napi Kwan’ or “White Man” refers to someone who is crazy from a cultural perspective and figures in the Blackfoot proverb “Everyone knows the White Man is crazy.” All of the translations taken with the proverb point to color as superficial or descriptive only, with the emphasis on state of mind or thought process. Old Man the fool, Napi to the Blackfeet, and the ‘Napi’ in the Blackfoot expression ‘Napi Kwan’ that translate as White Man, are one and the same. In the present times, when we see modern academics discuss Race in relation to Native America, particularly when those academics skins are Red, we are witnessing European mentality co-opting original Native thought, because in the old native way of thinking, there is no concept of race. Humanity is expressed solely through thought process and resultant behaviors. And for this reason, I think the term ‘Apple Indians’ is absolutely apropos in relation to the oxymoron of ‘native studies’ in the Western education. No different to ‘Black White Man’ accurately portrays Spike Lee from an ancient Native point of view.
Now, the western culture, having taken over our native peoples, will never admit they have created a politically correct academic program as another step in the cultural assimilation of native peoples, employing Western anthropology to accomplish what amounts to utilizing people with so-called ‘Red skins’ in ongoing ethnocide, and certified it as ‘academic science.’ Why? Because they are too busy self-inflating over their superiority to the so-called ‘primitives’ with investigation into man’s origins in the Americas. Forget Oral History, forget Native applied, practical philosophy, forget any thought that might be a threat to the Western sciences’ ethno-centric bias and Plato. Platonic-Cartesian thought (Western science) is a self-worshipping god with a narrow rut of inquiry and a dogma. Essentially a self-perpetrating lie.
My question to my Native sisters and brothers in academia is, what do you think you could ever accomplish learning from these people? Forget it, toss your degrees in the trash, go home and preserve the language and stories, there really is nothing better out there.
Popping in from the cold to post up ‘Boners for Beringia’, a reworked, updated version of my essay ‘Apple Indians & Anthropology.’ Boners for Beringia will perhaps (at first blush) disappoint those readers of ronaldthomaswest.com who’re fans of my past work in geopolitical analysis. But this essay should be read by those very people for a simple, straightforward reason; it is a social analysis of self-deceit and denial endemic to contemporary western civilization, both of which happen to be root characteristics in geopolitics. Intelligence agencies both; exploit and suffer from these very same blind spots. In science, these social phenomena are demonstrated as a sort of crude narcissism:
But, all those anthropologists with ‘Boners for Beringia’ have stretched logic (and inflated their credulity) by insisting these Amazon tribes genetics could only have arrived via Siberia within the last 15,000 years; while ignoring “New Evidence Puts Man in North America 50,000 Years Ago.” There are numerous problems with the 15,000 years ‘mainstream’ postulate; it ignores evidence from linguistics, it ignores other cultural evidence, it ignores physical evidence, and most of all, it ignores the primitive and nativistic nature of western empiricism’s roots.

Arrowheads and other artifacts from the Clovis culture of humans – an early hunter-gatherer society – also vanish after the black mat was laid down 13,000 years ago

Lester Log Roller was from a family of Indians named for a drunken forebear who had been ‘challenged’ by some White loggers in the Pacific Northwest to participate in the “Logger Olympics” of sport unique to their profession. Lester’s forebear actually had brought off his performance quite well, while keeping his balance on a log in a pond which he managed to roll with agility, both forwards and backwards… his fame for the event however, was the wild look of panic on this Indians face with his braids flying askew, because this Indian did not know how to swim.
The Indian’s champion log rolling performance was purely survival driven which made the event all the more hilarious to the redneck Whites that had sent him onto the log at gunpoint. The chief of this White Redneck tribe’s sense of honor, his name was Lucious Ludicrous Bean, declared Log Roller should be allowed to live for his amazing ability to mimic the loggers in the sport (“Damn, who’d believed”), but the Indian would hereafter have to be known by the new name and answer to it.
The Indian agreed to the terms required to save his life while still on the log, and was subsequently fished out of the pond both before he had drowned and nearing sobriety, because he had finally fallen into the water from pure exhaustion. Log Roller’s descendant, Lester Log Roller, subsequently was from a family of Indians that did not drink. They knew better. He went to Law School instead
Nobody in the White Academic world knew how to create a Native Studies Program because in fact to postulate a program as such in the western classroom was oxymoron. Hell, they did not even know that. Native Studies, if it was Natives doing the studies, would be non-interfering in Nature, observing the processes from which all Native intelligence had been drawn. Lester Log Roller did not know that, because he had been off to Boarding School from age five and then off to University in Kanadada.
By this time, Lester had mastered the provincial English linguistic trick of stating the just so “Eh?” after postulating something as mundane as “How aboot (yucky pronunciations) we run to the trading post for some smokes. Eh?” And his Blackfoot language was rusty, such as the time he was home from boarding school to visit and his Aunt told him to go back out (he had just come in the door) and bring in the “Napi-aki.” Lester started to go back out, he was confused, but then resolutely faced his Aunt and told her “I don’t have a White woman!” She laughed and said in English “I’m not talking about White women, I want you to bring in the milk jug.” Lester felt dumb. Napi-aki could mean either milk jug or White woman, but he did not get the context. He had been too long away at school
Lester was a conscientious sort, and so when his undergraduate major in ‘Native Studies’ was decided on, he returned home in summers and brushed up on his Blackfoot Language. But he did not realize that the answer to bring his university into line with the political correctness of the new times had been to establish a White Anthropology program staffed by White-educated mentalities in people with Red skins and call it ‘Native Studies.’ And so, Lester, like the now countless other Red skinned people of Native descent, thought this was real. He should have remembered the Blackfoot proverb “Everyone knows the Whiteman is crazy.” But Lester could not know this now applied to himself. So Lester questioned his former people’s elders to get ideas for his papers he would need to write in the discipline of anthropology disguised with the ‘Native Studies’ euphemism. And thought he was Indian
Lester went on to Law School and eventually became Director of ‘Native Studies’ at a great university which had been duly impressed with his achievements in the Whiteman’s so-called field of ‘Indian Treaty Law,’ having nothing to do with actual Aboriginal Laws of past times, but which combined with the idea he spoke Blackfoot, seemed to make him eminently qualified to run their program.
Here at university he met the great White theoretical physicist David Bohm and they had discussed David’s curiousity as to why it had been noted as early as the 1920’s the Native American languages seemed to have no problem describing many phenomena of the new theoretical physics, which western languages had difficulty coping with. Lester had no idea why either, but it seemed there must be something to it and so they began a dialogue… and eventually Lester became a god. To at least three or four people.
Lester, later on retired and living in a townhouse in the better part of Lethbridge, Kanadada, had continued with his anthropological interest in studying his former people and was particularly interested in their form of government before they had been conquered. His anthropological studies got him up and running on three legs in Blackfoot ways, like the proverbial wild dog that had chewed off one leg to escape a trap… and that was about it
Lester had by this time taken over the dialogue and thought he had some things figured out: Like how the old time chiefs circle of oratory had worked. Not. What he attempted to replicate in fact became a lunatic caricature of what had been his ancestral wisdom. It was not meant to be evil and in fact it was not evil. It was merely stupid. But Lester could not know that
By this time, these dialogues, with David Bohm now dead, had become sponsored by a ‘Wannabee Indian’ organization called ‘New Age in Native America’ run by an anal-retent-hyper-liberal White intellectual who fancied himself an enlightened feminist man. Though one might suspect otherwise, this man was not ‘bi,’ neither bi-sexual, nor bi-cultural
Narcissus Yabadabadoo Montenegro was a “Coyote” in the strict local Hispanic sense of the term, that is a ‘Spanglo.’ You would never know to which community of his ancestry he was loyal to, because this sort of Coyote could only be loyal to himself. His ego was of a soft burnished sort, the kind of lovely passive-aggressiveness whose nasty aspect was presented in the effeminate dark side aroma of the flower he was named for. As a real Indian, you just did not want to get too close to Narcissus if you were to enjoy the genuine natural beauty of his expression. And so it also was with the NANA sponsored dialogues he so expertly organized for the world to know the truth of the New Age in Native America
When Narcissus gazed into the reflective pool of the soft loveliness in his ego, he could detect no offensive aroma. His ethnocidal nuance as applied to Native American thought and philosophy was of a much prettier and more refined sort than that established for his intellectual forebears in the psychological literature developed by Erich Fromm: who postulated the Nazis much enjoyed the smell of their own farts.
A far cry from the camps and ovens, the ethnocidal ‘thrust’ of Narcissus’ ego priapismic tendencies was to bring about the immolation of the Indians beliefs and thinking with grandiose graphics of Taoist imagery superimposed on Native American fruits and vegetables extrapolated to western print: advertising the many ‘Red Skinned [Elmer] Fudds’ (PhDs) he would gather alongside White skinned western scientists in a grand orgy of psyco-somatic ego-stroking masturbation in high intellectual workshops of inter-racial discourse
Napi fell for it in the beginning. It was attractive, because Lester, a Blackfoot Indian who could speak his language was master of ceremony and that fact, taken together with the promoted agenda of Native America’s relationship to an observational philosophy of Quantum Mechanics, convinced Napi at the start he would learn something. Well, Napi did learn some things, he just did not learn what he had expected, like a wider understanding of Native Quantum Reality. Napi learned about Quantum Mechanics in the laboratory from the White scientists and absolutely nothing at all from the many PhD Native Americans because they had no idea at all of how Native Quantum Reality functionally worked.
Damn, it was sad. Not one PhD, not a single PhD from either side of the Racial divide, understood that to be Native American in thought and philosophy had absolutely nothing to do with Race. PhD. Wow. The White western scientists were sometimes frustrated with the Red western scientists who could only tell stories from anthropology that were totally out of context and consequently nonsensical. That fact only made the Red western scientists equal to the White western scientists totally out of context with Nature and nonsensical lab experiments
Napi simply observed the first year he attended. The second year he contributed a little bit of real Indian thinking and freaked out Lester because it looked as though the entire event could be shown up as a case of ‘The Emperor Has No Clothes!’ The third year Napi had tried to explain to Narcissus and had approached Lester directly about making a contribution, how some things could change to open up the dialogues to real learning, but Napi was frozen out instead. No upsetting the gravy train of ego allowed here!
Rather the ‘face’ of the event was to be preserved at all costs, a portrait of the mysterious and knowledgeable Indian, Lester, presiding over an event that might one day yield his great secrets held in abeyance: to his lesser Native beings and the handful of toadying sycophant Whites who peered upon his Native holiness with expressions of Heavenly reverence as though they were alter-boys seated upon the left and right hands of God. In fact, it appeared to Napi that Lester didn’t know shit. Lester only knew how to rest on his laurels from his former Native Studies program directorship at Harvard, look important, and otherwise act cool and all knowing. That’s it.
This lampoon of Leroy Little Bear and the ‘Language of Spirit’ dialogues at SEED Open University, goes to the point of what you see isn’t what it was and what it was, is something you’re not going to get at any ‘native studies’ program, either…
The women’s secret societies had been the driving social engine in the Blackfoot culture, the anthropologists were males and males were NEVER admitted to these societies. The upshot is, when every sister, mother, daughter and wife of every man of consequence delivered identical message, the men would meet and take the nation in the direction these women had insisted upon. The anthropologists only saw the men meet and come to decisions. The ‘circle’ at SEED supposedly replicating the ancient native governance system, is entirely devoid of the matriarchal concept and background. An important note would be, the anthropologists were allowed to keep mistaken assumptions (mistaken assumptions that now are integrated material of so-called ‘native studies’) because the culture they were studying did not have a concept of correcting so-called ‘wrongs’, people are supposed to figure out their mistakes for themselves.
The Blackfoot word for wife, ni-naki, translates literally as “boss.” Ni-naki is the lesser form of the word ni-na-waki, which had been the highest form of Blackfoot chief in pre-contact times, and could only be a woman. The equality there was really quite balanced, with a slightly higher female authority, with great respect between the sexes and women had been fully entitled to be warriors, the term for such was sak-wo-ma-oui-aki-kwan, loosely translated as ‘defiant women.’
The men with more than one wife were seen by anthropologists as polygamists in the western sense, the western observers not realizing the women determined this. Close sisters or best friends shared the man and without this female consensus, polygamy did not happen. And it was the important women who determined who would be a man’s ‘sits besides him wife.’ In the present time, relating to any politically correct western anthropology program with the ‘native studies’ euphemism, it is the western ideas are coming to dominate the native perception of themselves, with the loss of language and oral tradition through enforced western educations, these people don’t even know who they were anymore. But what had been was, the women instilled the culture’s values and stability.
Another misconception is the countless forms of gender in the language, the western linguists puzzling over how so many masculine and feminine forms could be kept straight and why so many when in fact this was the language expressing varying degree of androgyny in descriptions, an alien concept to western linguists.
The unfortunate conclusions concerning the western culture, drawn from thirty plus years work bridging the cultural gap, can be read in my essay ‘You’ve Got Apes!‘
