The Myth of Oil

Note: Since I’d posted this article, there has been a (CIA initiated) sustained effort to undermine any rapprochement with Russia; and the efforts to encircle and isolate Russia have been redoubled both in Congress and by the Department of State.

What is the secret the Soviet Union had sorted decades ago but the western educated troglodytes at the CIA & Defense Intelligence Agency hadn’t taken seriously until the Bush Jr administration’s second term? Oil is NOT a ‘fossil fuel’ but a self-generating resource with infinite ability to replenish (over time.)

If indeed this were the case, what would the geopolitical repercussions be? As William Engdahl had noted in 2007:

“If Russia had the scientific know-how and Western geology not, Russia possessed a strategic trump card of staggering geopolitical import. It was not surprising that Washington would go about erecting a “wall of steel”—a network of military bases and ballistic anti-missile shields around Russia, to cut her pipeline and port links to western Europe, China and the rest of Eurasia. Halford Mackinder’s worst nightmare–a cooperative convergence of mutual interests of the major states of Eurasia, born of necessity and need for oil to fuel economic growth–was emerging. Ironically, it was the blatant US grab for the vast oil riches of Iraq and, potentially, of Iran, that catalyzed closer cooperation between traditional Eurasian foes, China and Russia , and a growing realization in western Europe that their options too were narrowing”

That first sentence of the preceding is exactly right, because you can’t, with a snap of the fingers, retool an entire Western oil industry based on long-mistaken assumptions, if Russia were indeed decades ahead in understanding and developing extraction technology based on superior grasp of fact. Insofar as the rest of Engdahl’s paragraph, we see the continuing pursuit of this geopolitical phenomenon before our eyes. The only recent difference would be the post-Obama switch away from Brzezinski’s more aggressive vision of directly confronting Russia, over to Kissinger’s divide and conquer subterfuge of engaging Russia while confronting China. Make no mistake, the Russians well know how the old snake Kissinger’s back-stabbing game is played; Putin won’t be caught with his pants down (unlike the drunk Russia of the 1990s Yeltsin era.)

In the meanwhile, western oil & armaments industry and its’ geopolitical driven minions, that is the CIA and Pentagon primarily, would be pleased if the general public remained clueless in regards to a likely scenario where Russia won’t run out of oil while the Western oil companies are at a loss; trapped in a decades long game of scientific and technological catch-up. This is precisely example of why this blog has a specific category for ‘morons’

Here’s the good information our ‘scientific community’ was too inbred via ivory tower syndrome to absorb; resulting in the industry, Pentagon and intelligence community too brain-dead to grasp until decades opportunity had been lost; all because no one in Western academia questioned the unfounded assumption oil was decayed dinosaurs:

FOSSIL-FUEL THEORY DEBUNKED: OIL, GAS DEPOSITS CALLED PRIMORDIAL by Toldedo Blade (from 1997, about the time western science first began to listen)

SEATTLE – The public’s most widely known piece of geological knowledge–how petroleum and natual-gas deposts formed on Earth—is false, a noted scientist says. Surprisingly, his campaign to rewrite school textbooks and encyclopedias is getting grudging support from some geologists, who acknowledge that petroleum’s origins may be dramatically different than what people believe.

Millions of Americans learned in grade school that oil deposits originated in the age of dinosaurs, when vegetation in lush forests was buried and subjected to high heat and pressure. Those extreme conditions supposedly transformed the hydrocarbons in vegetation into the hydrocarbons of petroleum.

“That’s nonsense,” snapped Thomas Gold, a scientist at Cornell University. “There’s not a shred of evidence from chemistry, geology, or any other science to support it. It has no place in textbooks and school classrooms.”

In appearances at the annual meeting of The American Association for the Advancement of Science in Seattle here that ended Thursday, Gold repeatedly challenged geologists to reconsider and reject the conventional theory.

Gold also presented evidence that oil and gas deposits on Earth are primordial. That means they came with the planet. They were part of the original raw material that formed the sun and planets, and deposited deep below Earth’s surface when the planet formed 4.5 billion years ago.

Some of the oil gradually oozes upward from these original deposits 100 to 200 miles below the surface and collects where oil drillers can reach it.

In one presentation, Gold described shafts that he and associates drilled in an ancient meteorite impact crater in Sweden. They drilled into a kind of rock that was not sedimentary, not associated with the sediments believed to produce oil deposits.

At a depth of about 4 miles, they encountered a hydrocarbon oil similar to light petroleum that Gold believes was primordial oil. He noted a variety of evidence to support the belief. Gold estimated that this single site contained “more petroleum than all of Saudi Arabia.” With current technology, however, pumping it out would be impossible, he added. Gold contended that many other planets and planetary bodies in the solar system have similar deep deposits of hydrocarbons, which are the stuff of oil and natural gas. Gold argues that a primordial origin for petroleum is the only way to explain its chemical composition.

Petroleum originating from plant matter decayed by bacteria, similar to bacteria that decay backyard garden-compost piles, would resemble a microbial product. Instead, petroleum is chemically similar to a pure hydrocarbon that has been contaminated with microbial material. That contamination, he argues, occurred as petroleum seeped upward through rock now known to contain enormous amounts of bacterial life. In moving upward, petroleum also collected helium, explaining why oil wells are such a rich source of helium.

“This is the only possible explanation,” Gold said. “The association of helium with petroleum has not been accounted for in any other way.”

How do geologists respond?

They’re beginning to listen, according to Michael Carr, who appeared on a panel where Gold presented his theory. Carr is a scientist with the U.S. Geological Survey in Reston, Va. “Dr. Gold has some very, very good evidence, especially that involving helium,” Carr said. “He certainly is challenging the geological community. There is a debate within the geological community.” Carr said geologists plan to reconsider the conventional theory about petroleum formation at a major meeting later in the year.

Trump’s Ban: The CIA Shit Hits The Fan

While Jeff Stein at Newsweek carries water for the CIA in its’ feud with Trump, one wonders how Mike Pompeo will play it (behind the scene.) What is today’s fake news generated out of Langley, Virginia? Try this:

“For decades, CIA and U.S. military intelligence spy recruiters have held out the promise of eventual resettlement in America to induce foreigners to turn coat and work secretly for the United States against terrorist groups or repressive governments. In reality, many were caught before they ever made it, but during the Cold War countless Eastern Europeans living under communist rule, and more recently, Muslims across the Middle East, North Africa and Central Asia, have worked secretly for U.S. spy agencies on the promise that they or their children would eventually be extracted. Another effective recruiting tool for U.S. operatives has been to offer their agents’ families medical care or education in the United States”

The intelligence community’s veterans are squealing like stuck pigs over the Muslim visa ban, according to Stein, although he puts it more along the lines of shedding tears:

“Absolutely,” agreed Cindy Storer, a former member of the CIA intelligence team that tracked al-Qaeda leader Osama Bin Laden. “It hurts,” she said in a brief interview. “Capital h-u-r-t-s”

Two things about the preceding quote that concerns intelligence officer turned journalist Stein; the first is, if Stein was being straight with his readers, yeah the ‘rewards program’ worked when it was a Pakistani ISI officer walked in to bag the $25 million reward and a good life in the USA because the CIA couldn’t find its own ass with both hands let alone find bin Laden. But Stein avoids informing his readers how incompetent Central Intelligence has been (what a story that is.) The second thing is, Cindy Storer, Alfreda Bikowsky’s (speaking of stupid) bin Laden hunting professional associate, specifies “Capital h-u-r-t-s” and Stein quotes her using lower case. There’s brilliance for you.

What’s another prominent example of the ‘rewards’ program? How about CIA 3rd party contract ‘torture darling’ Omar Sulieman suddenly ‘falls ill’ and is whisked away to the USA for ‘medical’ treatment about the time Sulieman boss Mubarak’s Egyptian regime was coming apart at the seams and he rather quickly died in hospital. Problem witness silenced (Sulieman ran the CIA’s outsourced torture program in Egypt that Senator Feinstein’s torture investigation never touched.) With friends like CIA…

But neither of these case examples would have been impacted because Trump’s visa ban doesn’t cover Egypt or Pakistan. Oh, and ‘the ban’ doesn’t ban radicalized Islam’s Wahabi terrorist central: Saudi Arabia. Huh. And there’s another thing; the Langley spooks’ prostitute journalist (whether Stein realizes it or not, but hard to believe not, when it’s a former intelligence officer reporting) is almost certainly fronting this as a cover story. So what are the spooks actually fighting for, what is the CIA’s hidden agenda here? Let’s try this…

“During the 1980s, the CIA recruited and trained Muslim operatives to fight the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan. Later, the CIA would move those operatives from Afghanistan to the Balkans, and then to Iraq, Libya, and Syria, traveling on illegal US visas”

…according to Former USA consular officer in Saudi Arabia, Michael Springmann

What’s more is, when Springmann had been a consular officer in Jedda, Saudi Arabia:

“Michael Springmann, head US consular official in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, later claims that during this period he is “repeatedly ordered… to issue [more than 100] visas to unqualified applicants.” He turns them down, but is repeatedly overruled by superiors

“In one case, two Pakistanis apply for visas to attend a trade show in the US, but they are unable to name the trade show or city in which it will be held. When Springmann denies them a visa, he gets “an almost immediate call from a CIA case officer, hidden in the commercial section [of the consulate], that I should reverse myself and grant these guys a visa.” Springmann refuses, but the decision is reversed by the chief of the consular section”

I suppose a ban could cramp the CIA’s game of shuffling ‘moderate opposition’ around the globe, particularly those from ‘banned’ countries. Certainly we wouldn’t want a precedent like this set because our ‘moderate’ opposition leadership qualifying for the CIA ‘rewards program’ and life in the USA, can’t all be Pakistanis, Egyptians and Saudis. After all, what would the CIA do if it couldn’t move its’ al Qaida fighters into Kosovo and Bosnia? And then on to Syria where we discover:

“There is no difference between “moderate” rebels and al-Qaeda (al-Nusra) or ISIS — they are all the same” -US Representative Tulsi Gabbard, following on location (Syria) fact finding mission.

And finally, we have a 2009 interview by retired CIA officer Phillip Giraldi, with former FBI documents translator Sibel Edmonds:

EDMONDS: Okay. So these conversations, between 1997 and 2001, had to do with a Central Asia operation that involved bin Laden. Not once did anybody use the word “al-Qaeda.” It was always “mujahideen,” always “bin Laden” and, in fact, not “bin Laden” but “bin Ladens” plural. There were several bin Ladens who were going on private jets to Azerbaijan and Tajikistan. The Turkish ambassador in Azerbaijan worked with them.

“There were bin Ladens, with the help of Pakistanis or Saudis, under our management. [The USA Department of State’s] Marc Grossman was leading it, 100 percent, bringing people from East Turkestan into Kyrgyzstan, from Kyrgyzstan to Azerbaijan, from Azerbaijan some of them were being channeled to Chechnya, some of them were being channeled to Bosnia. From Turkey, they were putting all these bin Ladens on NATO planes. People and weapons went one way, drugs came back”

‘Rewards’ visas might be really, very handy, even necessary, to enable operations like the immediate preceding. Enough said? You think? Maybe one more thing; a former clandestine services case officer informs me: “CIA actually issues its own visas and has many ways to completely by-pass the system” in which case the entire premise of Jeff Stein’s article is bogus from the get-go. So what’s the problem? Too little resources devoted to CIA clandestine services forgeries to give up the Department of State visas issued on false pretext? All of the Libyan ‘rewards worthy’ fighters with fake ‘moderate opposition’ Syrian passports have to be re-papered as Egyptians? Too much work to get around increasingly sophisticated border controls where CIA vetted® & moderate™ Salafist militants shouldn’t risk getting busted with multiple identities due to advancing technologies like biometrics? Is it as simple as certain parties at the CIA, in their ongoing feud with Trump, simply wish to smear Trump in the public mind on a national security issue?

At the end of the day it’s anybody’s guess what is behind the patent bullshit in the Newsweek article. What we do know is, other than the certain fact the article is classic misdirection concerning intelligence and would appear to be a psyop fed to the American public, the Trump order seems to have put a bug up the intelligence community’s butt.

WikiLeaks has never been as simple as 2 + 2 = 4 or ‘it was leaked, WikiLeaks published it and the damage was done.’ Too often the intelligence math just doesn’t add up. There should be more than a healthy suspicion concerning WikiLeaks.

This small collection does what you won’t find in either mainstream or alternative news; scrutinizing WikiLeaks from a professional intelligence analysis perspective employing a healthy scepticism or, perhaps better said, looks for, finds and explores holes in the WikiLeaks myth. Example given, WikiLeaks is accused of releasing the DNC mails via a Russian hack and that organization denies Russia was the source but declines to offer proof, allowing the false perception to persevere. Why? Is it because Assange’s currency as an intelligence agency asset isn’t yet entirely exhausted? It is common knowledge (in intelligence circles) the assassinated Seth Rich was the Wikileaks DNC mails source (and the mails did not transit through the Russians.)

Also consider this: certain alternative media stars either fail to realize or selectively black out the fact Julian Assange was a critical gear in the intelligence agency (primarily CIA & MOSSAD) information operations responsible for the so-called ‘Arab Spring’ … leading to not only revolution and counter-revolution in Egypt but also the overthrow of Gaddafi and the Syrian ‘civil war.’ How do Chris Hedges, Caitlin Johnstone, Vanessa Beeley and Raul Ilargi Meijer (among others), when defending their perception of Assange as a hero, drive that square peg into the round hole of Wikileaks supported the intelligence agency geopolitical engineering called the Arab Spring? A case of ‘you can’t have your cake and eat it too.’

Finally, the intelligence agencies disseminating disinformation that plans were drawn up to overthrow Assad following Assad’s rejection of the Qatari pipeline in 2009 are the patent nonsense called “eye-wash” where faked documents, assessments & rationale are circulated within the system, method employed by intelligence agencies to propagandize others within their own departments & related agencies and sometimes leaked to throw the bloodhounds off. In fact the Arab Spring overthrow apparatus were already preparing implementation with training ‘activists’ by the USA’s Department of State in 2008 (coordinated by Shaariik Zafar) and likely planning had begun years previous to this. Almost certainly this was a MOSSAD plan laundered through the USA by American neocons.

It stretches the imagination a former UK ambassador would make an amateur espionage move worthy of a cub scout playing spy. But that’s what would appear Craig Murray had done in the case of the DNC emails leaked to WikiLeaks.

That Murray would be a high value target for American counter-intelligence to monitor for the reason of his high profile association with WikiLeaks is beyond obvious. For Murray then to state…

“I know who leaked them. I’ve met the person who leaked them, and they are certainly not Russian and it’s an insider. It’s a leak, not a hack; the two are different things”

…goes to the practically bizarre when coming from a former United Kingdom ambassador to Uzbekistan. The UK is little different to the USA in the case of embassies providing cover for spies; in which case Murray should at least have some rudimentary espionage understanding such as YOU DO NOT MEET YOUR SOURCE DIRECTLY WHEN YOU ARE A HIGH PROFILE TARGET OF YOUR ADVERSARY’S COUNTER-INTELLIGENCE HUNTING YOUR (in this case, WikiLeaks) SOURCE(S)

Then, we have WikiLeak’s Assange giving what amounts to a ‘Glomar’ ‘I will neither confirm or deny’ response concerning the murder (assassination?) of Seth Rich after appearing to suggest Rich was the source of the DNC emails leak:

Beyond this, WikiLeaks offering a $20,000 reward for the solving of the Seth Rich murder is laughable, that’s what an American west coast upscale community would offer for the arrest of a serial killer of the neighborhood’s cats. Two million dollars might get two seconds’ attention of a corruptible counter-intelligence agent with knowledge of a professional hit on Seth Rich, twenty million might even net an inside the agency sucker willing to take the exceedingly high risk to one’s life (almost certain death) that would attend selling out an agency hit man for substantial lucre. In truth, the WikiLeaks reward offer amounts to little more than a tabloid publicity stunt.

Narcissism is a blinding thing; and a self-righteous narcissism is no exception. Ambassador Murray could have every good intention but on the face of it, he had seriously screwed up. Murray and WikiLeaks should come clean, there is little to lose. If Seth Rich was a source, and Murray had met with him, there is more to be gained by stating so; there would be nothing given up any intelligence agency involved would not already know. The only thing at stake here would be a hit to ego & image.

Craig Murray stating ‘I had a serious lapse of professional judgement and this almost certainly resulted in the death of Seth Rich’ would be the most newsworthy move WikiLeaks could take if in any respect this were true; to counter the CIA’s ‘the Russians hacked the DNC’ propaganda lie, in which there is much invested by the agency.

Meanwhile, Murray subsequently barred from the United States appears to be, in a manner of speaking, a message to Murray: ‘thank you very much for the lapse of judgement, we have taken full advantage and won’t be requiring your services after this.’

And were Murray to sincerely, thoroughly investigate the history of Sam Adams, he might be grateful he could not personally attend his receiving an award with a namesake who cynically exploited patriotism to benefit his close associate’s considerable smuggling enterprise –

August 20017 updates:

1 August an audio tape is leaked in which Seymour Hersh states the FBI knows it was Seth Rich leaked the DNC mails:

“What the [FBI] report says is that some time in late Spring… he makes contact with WikiLeaks, that’s in his computer,” he says. “Anyway, they found what he had done is that he had submitted a series of documents — of emails, of juicy emails, from the DNC”

On 9 August The Nation magazine publishes a column on a group on independent experts…

“Forensic investigators, intelligence analysts, system designers, program architects, and computer scientists of long experience and strongly credentialed are now producing evidence disproving the official version of key events last year”

…stating the forensic evidence demonstrates a leak, not a hack, which backs Murray’s and the Hersh assertions.

On 18 August Antiwar.com reports Congressman Dana Rohrabacher has met with Assange concerning the DNC mails and further suggests Assange is holding the DNC leak evidence as a bargaining chip to acquire a pardon himself and leverage wikileaks. This would fit Assange’s self-centered, persecuted savior complex which never ceases to amaze, this guy has allowed the USA to push towards the brink with Russia, for months, because he’s tired of his embassy life in London, a circumstance that is entirely his own fault for the simple fact he didn’t have the self-discipline to keep his dick in his pants.

The Intercept’s “Attention Federal Employees: If You See Something, Leak Something” with its’ ‘how to’ leak, provides potential leakers with some resoundingly bad advice:

“Begin by bringing your personal computer to a Wi-Fi network that isn’t associated with you or your employer, like one at a coffee shop. Download the Tor Browser. (Tor allows you to go online while concealing your IP address from the websites you visit.)

To point one “Begin by bringing your personal computer…” you should NEVER use your personal computer but should have a computer untraceable to you for the specific purpose of secure transfer of unauthorized information. A computer you’ve never used for anything else. A computer you’ve never so much as browsed or emailed from concerning anything else. A computer you’ve taped over the camera lens and disabled the microphone before you booted it for the first time in a location away from home. And then searched it for, and disabled, any GPS or geographic locator programs. A computer you’ve never so much as been online with except as an anonymous person sending off the leaked material away from locations you typically are associated with (and away from anyone you know.) Why?

As a person with access to sensitive or classified information requiring a security clearance, you’re already a perceived threat and anything goes in the so-called national security state. Your personal computer could already have an undetectable ‘key log’ trojan together with a ‘call home’ (NSA) trigger if you were ever to visit certain sites (like The Intercept or a tor browser download.) DO NOT TRUST your personal device.

You can avoid ‘digital fingerprints’ by printing out paper copies of documents that are then photographed and converted to jpg files, with a camera that is untraceable to you, prior to loading the reformatted documents into your ‘leak device.’

Everything you are processing a sensitive leak with should be sanitized (untraceable to yourself), laptop, printer, camera, and thumbdrive (wear gloves, fingerprints can transfer via a camera’s digital image!)

Insofar as Tor, NO CHANCE it is secure from government prying (2nd example of USA penetration of Tor HERE.)

What I’m trying to tell the honest leaker reporting crimes and/or unconstitutional behaviors is, you have to beat what a veteran FBI agent had to say in “Spycraft for Hacks”

“[T]he Internet is a sieve, and a goldmine for lawful and unlawful penetration through technical means by law enforcement. Never use the Internet or email for any kind of contact with a source if your beat is national security because it creates too many electronic trails, all of which are traceable and usually recoverable by even the newest rookie FBI cyber-agent”

By using your garage sale or yard sale or used, bought for cash anywhere (or stolen but definitely not a good idea) no one knows to be associated with you laptop, together with creating a counterfeit email account (a random dead person’s details would do) only ever used with the leak computer, you may avoid many plausible and unknown dangers and a few known ones; for instance ‘tor’ having been developed by United States Naval Intelligence and continues to be funded by the USA’s Department of Defense. With taking the proper precautions, you don’t need ‘tor’ or ‘secure drop’ (secure? Belly laugh.)

The intercept goes on: “You can access our SecureDrop server by going to [http://y6xjgkgwj47us5ca.onion/] in the Tor Browser. This is a special kind of URL that only works in Tor. Do NOT type this URL into a non-Tor Browser. It won’t work — and it will leave a record.

Yeah, and using the Naval Intelligence developed ‘tor’ could ‘copy’ you straight to DoD and friends, recalling NSA is run by Department of Defense. Did you have tor when you visited the website to download it? No, or you wouldn’t have go there for the download. Bingo! The NSA has you ‘recorded’ downloading tor on your personal laptop. Dumb shit.

And this next, in the era of ‘warrantless’ searches, is beyond stupid:

“If that is too complicated, or you don’t wish to engage in back-and-forth communication with us, a perfectly good alternative is to simply send mail to P.O. Box 65679, Washington, D.C., 20035, or to The Intercept, 114 Fifth Avenue, 18th Floor, New York, New York, 10011. Drop it in a mailbox (do not send it from home, work or a post office) with no return address”

You just gave up not only your possibly traceable leaked information but as well a postmark, possible DNA and fingerprints to federal law enforcement. The postmark points to possible surveillance video capture, your DNA is in so much as an eyelash hair you missed and you had better have been perfect with not leaving so much as a single fingerprint, not only on the envelope but its’ contents. Who could reasonably expect material addressed to the Intercept would not be intercepted? A naif.

The ‘spycraft for hacks’ author comes up short on this point:

“Use the U.S. mail. Many journalists are unaware of the existence of mail covers, which are formal requests to the Postmaster that allow the postal service to record certain information — but only that information on the outside of the envelope. To get at its contents requires probable cause that evidence of a crime is contained within the envelope and a search warrant. Of course, “accidental” openings can and do occur. So be careful what you say in your letter”

It would be no ‘accident’ if the USA’s FISA court had issued a blanket warrantless (or secret ‘warranted’) search authorization for all of the mail coming to the organization publishing the Snowden NSA revelations. But the ‘spycraft’ article is dated May, 2013 and Snowden’s leaks were not revealed until June. FBI veteran David Gomez might wish he had the article back a mere month following Foreign Policy publishing his Spycraft for Hacks.

A former Special Forces Sergeant of Operations and Intelligence, Ronald Thomas West is a retired paralegal/investigator (living in exile) whose work focus had been anti-corruption and human rights. Trump’s DNI – A Dire Wolf for Jesus

Certain Trump picks point to a religious-criminal cabal preparing for a Pence presidency. What do Vice President Mike Pence, Attorney General Jeff Sessions, and certainly not least, Director of National Intelligence Dan Coats, have in common? Membership in ‘The Fellowship’, a quasi-religious organization-unregistered lobby with fingerprints all over past USA international crimes sprees. These three significant personalities all are under the ‘spiritual’ tutelage of Doug Coe, leader of ‘The Family’ where if you are ‘chosen’ there is a different standard, an unaccountable standard, where everything up to and inclusive of child rape is excused:

I’d almost forgotten the time Dan Coats, Trump’s pick for National Intelligence Director — the man to whom 16 intelligence agencies report — called me an “enemy of Jesus.”

Well, I didn’t hear him do it, but the source seemed solid. It was, I think, 2004, and I’d been invited to speak at the University of Potsdam, near Berlin, in a series sponsored by the U.S. embassy. My subject was “the Family,” the secretive fundamentalist organization of which Coats, unbeknownst to me at the time, is a member. When I arrived, my German host told me there’d been a little problem: the ambassador — Dan Coats — had blocked funding for my talk. “He said,” my host said, in thickly accented English, “you are an ‘enemy of Jesus.'”

My host was one of those deadpan Germans. He didn’t smile. I said, “You’re joking.”

“Yes,” he said, still unsmiling, “that is what I thought, too.” Apparently, the Germans had gone back and forth a couple of times with the embassy, unable to believe this was serious. And apparently the embassy personnel were plenty embarrassed about it, too. But that was Coats’ ruling, so it stuck. Fortunately for me, the university picked up my tab” Jeff Sharlet, author of The Family: The Secret Fundamentalism at the Heart of American Power & C Street: The Fundamentalist Threat to American Democracy

Jeff Sharlet, in a 2003 interview, had stated concerning the Doug Coe cult:

“A lot of their key men in a country would be the intelligence [CIA] officers in the American embassy. Throughout their correspondence, that’s the kind of guy they would like to have involved [and] They always had a lot of Army intelligence guys involved, Pentagon guys”

Doug Coe’s ‘international bad friends’ have included (but are not limited to) Papa Doc Duvalier whose Tonton Macoute militia murdered up to 60,000 Haitians, “the most corrupt leader in modern history” (Transparency International) and mass murderer Suharto (Indonesia), CIA sponsored war criminal Gustavo Álvarez Martínez (Honduras), CIA ‘dirty wars’ mass torturer and murderer General Carlos Eugenios Vides Casanova (El Salvador), extrajudicial killer, kidnapper and torturer Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo (Equatorial Guinea), indicted war criminal Omar al-Bashir (Sudan), child soldier commander Joseph Kabila (Congo), Pentagon trained war criminal Paul Kagame (Rwanda), Kagame ally and child soldier employer Yoweri Museveni (Uganda) and killer par excellence Mohamed Siad Barre whom Coe facilitated (together with Charles Grassley) receiving the American weaponry Barre used to ‘wreak a biblical terror on his own nation’ (Somalia, which has never recovered.) To name a few.

“We” clearly includes Dan Coats and a political ‘bedroom’ surprise:

Regardless of what you might think of Trump, and our republic’s archaic electoral college (constitutional provision) that elected him, Trump is the USA’s legitimate president. Meanwhile, any naif who’d believe these sort of ‘family’ personalities wouldn’t stoop to supporting a ‘Bump Trump’ caper, to put their man Pence into the White House, is not only beyond head examining help, we also could easily be worse off for the fact.

“Every president since Dwight D. Eisenhower in 1953 has spoken at the breakfast, a point made at the meeting to Trump by the evangelical lay minister Douglas Coe, a leader in The Fellowship religious organization, according to Coons. Also attending the meeting with Trump was Boozman, Vice President-elect Mike Pence, and several of Trump’s faith advisers”

The meeting was ostensibly about ‘spiritual’ affairs but clearly in a context of politics, policy and bringing pressure on Trump. So the Mao Red Guard admiring ‘decapitate your mother for Jesus’ because it’s ‘the right thing to do’ minister Doug Coe has already arrived on scene with his ‘Prayer Breakfast’ diktat.

Bin Ladin & the Fourth Estate

How Dumb is the CIA Part Four:

With the ‘fake news’ caper recently backfiring on the CIA and suddenly many people, previously devoted to the USA’s ‘fourth estate’, questioning what, if anything, can be believed in mainstream media when it comes to matters of intelligence… it seems an opportune time to examine the mythology generated by the American intelligence concerning Osama Bin Ladin.

According to this Guardian story from November, 2001:

“Two months before September 11 Osama bin Laden flew to Dubai for 10 days for treatment at the American hospital, where he was visited by the local CIA agent”

The article goes on:

“Bin Laden has often been reported to be in poor health. Some accounts claim that he is suffering from Hepatitis C, and can expect to live for only two more years.

“According to Le Figaro, last year he ordered a mobile dialysis machine to be delivered to his base at Kandahar in Afghanistan”

Moreover, according to French intelligence speaking with Le Figaro (picked up by the Guardian), Osama had visits with at least 2 CIA contacts during his 10 days in the hospital urology department in the summer of 2001, as well, Bin Laden met with the head of CIA allied Saudi intelligence. Hardly the behavior profile expected of an agency in relation to (at that time) a 12 years hunted terrorist per the legend of CIA asset Bin Laden turning on the agency; following on the CIA-Bin Laden-Saudi longtime anti-Soviet cooperation in 1980s Afghanistan.

Concerning Bin Laden’s 2001 state of Health; Pakistan has modern health care facilities and excellent doctors. Bin Laden traveling from Pakistan to Dubai for expert care in the American Hospital urology department speaks to a very serious health deterioration a few months prior to the American invasion. Bin Laden having a portable dialysis machine delivered to his base in Kadahar, Afghanistan, a year previous to this, poses serious complications for any narrative of his survival in the intense hardship Bin Laden supposedly survived at between the fall of Kabul and the conclusion of the battle of Tora Bora at the end of 2001:

“Usually, each hemodialysis treatment lasts about four hours and is done three times per week. A type of hemodialysis called high-flux dialysis may take less time. You can speak to your doctor to see if this is an appropriate treatment for you”

Bin Laden is reported to have fled Kabul for Tora Bora a few days prior to Kabul’s fall 13 November 2001. The battle of Tora Bora began 6 December and concluded 17 December 2001. Being generous with a survival timeline, if we put Bin Laden on the run from Kabul and under subsequent siege at Tora Bora for a period of a month, presumably Bin Ladin has paused for dialysis a dozen times in one of the most inhospitable and under-developed regions of South Asia. This would require his mobile dialysis machine to accompany Bin Laden over a primitive and rough mountain road (built with explosives and simple bulldozer by Bin Laden more than 15 years previous to this), with generator and fuel. Then Bin Laden gets his dialysis treatment in a shallow cave, under siege, while bombs are raining down on his position, over 11 days in December. This at an elevation of 14,000 feet with subzero Fahrenheit (-18 or more Celsius) temperatures common. Despite the urban legend put out by USA intelligence of Tora Bora as a sophisticated, self-sufficient complex, a Special Forces soldier on location tells a different story:

“Again, with the caves, they weren’t these crazy mazes or labyrinths of caves that they described. Most of them were natural caves. Some were supported with some pieces of wood maybe about the size of a 10-foot by 24-foot room, at the largest. They weren’t real big. I know they made a spectacle out of that, and how are we going to be able to get into them? We worried about that too, because we see all these reports. Then it turns out, when you actually go up there, there’s really just small bunkers, and a lot of different ammo storage is up there”

Through all of this, culminating at a primitive, oxygen starved 14,000 feet elevation (4,200+ meters), deeply freezing, unsanitary environment under explosives raining down on his position for 11 days, we are supposed to assume Bin Laden received his necessary regular dialysis without complication or malfunction.

We know already American intelligence had either egregiously lied about the sophistication of the complex at Tora Bora or, perhaps had fallen to disinformation or, by far most likely, simply has a vivid imagination (no stupidity, no matter how immense, should be ruled out concerning the CIA’s ‘war on terror’, an incredible example HERE.)

It had been (by operatives on location) discovered that Tora Bora was set up to shelter no more than 200 people, maximum. Is the CIA lead officer who’d initiated the battle for Tora Bora, Gary Berntsen, a self-aggrandizing liar or merely possessed of vivid imagination? Self-professed “cowboy” Berntsen reports Osama had retreated to Tora Bora with 1,000 people in his entourage. Bin Laden would have known he could provide shelter for no more than 200 of his fighters at Tora Bora. Another CIA square peg driven into a round hole we are supposed to believe is a good fit.

Berntsen goes on to report he called in a strike with a BLU-82 which:

“The blast produces over pressure of 1,000 pounds per square inch, close to that of a tactical nuclear weapon. It can be felt miles away”

Now, it doesn’t require a degree in rocket science to determine what this weapon would have done dropped on a mountainside of shallow caves modified into unsophisticated or basic bunkers. The shock-wave alone would have decimated the inhabitants. This was on top of waves of B-52 carpet bombing of the so-called Tora Bora ‘complex.’ Enough ordinance had been dropped on the primitive bunker complex at Tora Bora to flatten a small city. Supposedly Osama, and his required, functioning dialysis machine, survived all of this to escape by hiking out.

Despite CIA Officer Berntsen maintaining he missed extinguishing Bin Laden at Tora Bora (actually Berntsen appears to have directed the operation by radio-phone from the relative safety of Kabul, despite the numerous inclusive use of ‘we’ in his Tora Bora battle description-narrative), because he lacked competent resources, the more likely scenarios are; Bin Laden died at Tora Bora, blown to bits by a BLU 82 or, Bin Laden was never at Tora Bora and the CIA is too stupid to realize this or too cowardly to admit they don’t know whether Bin Laden was at Tora Bora and if he was, what happened to him.

Imagine you’re leading the CIA team that has every reason to believe (with the CIA this could be solely in one’s imagination) Bin Laden was blown to tiny bits. But you actually cannot know. The fear of Bin Laden turning up alive is too much for you to risk the humiliation of stating Bin Laden almost certainly died at Tora Bora and later shown to be wrong. The consequent default presumption (the coward’s position) has to be Bin Laden escaped. This is almost certainly the concealed premise underlying CIA Officer Berntsen’s reporting.

Based on the original Direction générale de la sécurité extérieure (DGSE or French CIA) reporting via Le Figaro, picked up by the Guardian, a reasonable case can be made a seriously ill Bin Laden never returned to Afghanistan from Pakistan after his treatment at the American Hospital in Dubai only five months previous to the bombing of Tora Bora. This would actually make much more sense if indeed Bin Laden were to have lived to be assassinated by the Americans in 2011. But this narrative also has serious problems. Supposedly the last electronic intercept of Bin Laden was in 2001 (presuming this was the CIA report of captured shortwave radio communications at Tora Bora) but the NSA describes this as ‘possible’ as opposed to confirmed. There is no rationale for ‘possible’ given but one might reasonably presume this is because the NSA does not trust the CIA narrative concerning Bin Laden at Tora Bora and the NSA itself did not pick up this radio traffic:

“When asked if, after 9/11, the NSA ever saw “reflections of UBL [Usama Bin Laden] himself or members of his inner circle in SIGINT,” Darby responded, “[o]ur loss of SIGINT access to bin Laden actually occurred prior to 9/11 — it happened in 1998” with one possible exception in 2001“

Setting aside this ‘possible’ communications intercept the NSA cannot or will not confirm, together with presuming Bin Laden survived because he was not at Tora Bora, it is possible Bin Laden lived to be assassinated later; at Abbottabad, Pakistan, in 2011.

The first problem with this scenario is, if the CIA covered up the salient fact of Osama’s absence at Tora Bora, there is little reason to believe any subsequent CIA Bin Laden narrative absent hard evidence and the hard evidence of the 2011 Abbottabad raid has been deeply buried:

“Adm. William McRaven, the nation’s top secret special operations commander, ordered the Department of Defense to purge its computers of all files on the Navy SEALs raid on bin Laden and send them to the CIA. This decision was only recently revealed in a draft report by the Pentagon’s inspector general –and expunged from the final version– which was obtained and published last week by the Project on Government Oversight. The almost-secret decision to transfer the files, ostensibly done to protect the identities of the SEALs involved (the same SEAL team whose members have already begun writing best-selling books and granting tell-all interviews), was made under the pretense that the SEALs were effectively working for the CIA while conducting the raid, and thus all the files were CIA records.

“That’s the government’s take, anyway. What the transfer really did was ensure that the files would be placed in the CIA’s operational records, a records system that –due to the 1984 CIA Operational Files exemption[*]— is not subject to the FOIA and is a black hole for anyone trying to access the files within. The move prevents the public from accessing the official record about the raid, and bypasses several important federal records keeping procedures in the process”

* 50 USC [United States Code] 431, also known as the ‘1984 CIA Operational Files exemption’, states:

“The Director of the Central Intelligence Agency, with the coordination of the Director of National Intelligence, may exempt operational files of the Central Intelligence Agency from the provisions of section 552 of title 5 (Freedom of Information Act) which require publication or disclosure, or search or review in connection therewith”

Consequently, with any hard evidence entirely expunged from the Department of Defense records, and sealed away from the press and public purview by Central Intelligence, we are limited to sorting through the several, literally littered with lies, official and unofficial narratives.

The first to seriously attempt a comprehensive challenge of the 2011 Abbottabad raid narrative is Seymour Hersh. Hersh allows Bin Laden was actually killed at Abbottabad but then Hersh attacks the official narrative on several accounts. Hersh states the biggest lie that had been uncovered is the Pakistanis’ did not know of the USA raid in advance but here is where I disagree with his assessment. If, as Hersh asserts, and this seems entirely credible, the CIA played no role whatsoever in discovering Bin Laden’s whereabouts and in fact it was a former ISI (Pakistan’s CIA) officer tipped the USA to Bin Laden’s presence at Abbottabad…

“…that the CIA did not learn of bin Laden’s whereabouts by tracking his couriers, as the White House has claimed since May 2011, but from a former senior Pakistani intelligence officer who betrayed the secret in return for much of the $25 million reward offered by the US…”

…this raises the distinct possibility the CIA had been taken in by a ‘dangle’ or an officer from ISI deliberately providing CIA with information that has underlying motive or purpose intended in some manner to cross or compromise the Americans. In this possible case, the CIA claiming they had discovered the whereabouts of Bin Laden is the by far bigger lie, because of these implications:

If indeed Bin Laden was alive and at Abbottabad, the CIA 10 years manhunt expending countless man-hours and many, many millions of dollars had been an entirely incompetent waste of resources.
Pakistan wanted to be rid of Bin Laden but didn’t want credit for killing him and used a dangle to hand off the Bin Laden assassination to the Americans with plausible denial of Pakistani involvement.
Pakistan’s ISI had other, ulterior motive for pulling the Americans into the Abbottabad raid.

Going to the 3rd possibility, it is entirely plausible the Pakistanis’ had long since come to the conclusion Bin Laden had not survived the bombing at Tora Bora and decided it was time to humiliate the CIA and/or be done with the ‘living’ Bin Laden legend.

Motive for humiliating the CIA could easily stem from the Americans badly embarrassing the Pakistanis by breaking into the open the Pakistan based Khan nuclear black market, an incredibly incompetent endeavor in the hands of the CIA. These sort of events between intelligence agencies do NOT go without reprisal:

“Fallout by Americans Catherine Collins and Douglas Frantz tells the story of the illicit nuclear procurement network created by Abdul Qadeer Khan, a metallurgist who is widely considered the father of Pakistan’s nuclear weapons program”

In this light, it is justified to examine the actions we know were taken by the Americans in the aftermath of the Abbottabad raid.

In the beginning, there were so many conflicting lies coming out of the administration as to lead one to suspect the raid had not produced expected result and no one knew what to do except make up stories in what amounted to a panicked environment. Numerous journalists, including Seymour Hersh and several journalists at The Intercept, have had a field day picking these official lies (and ‘unauthorized’ accounts) apart.

Next, we know JSOC boss Admiral McRaven had any records of hard evidence buried at the CIA and put beyond reach of any lawful Freedom of Information demands.

Then, things gets interesting. According to the American accounts, only a few operatives saw Bin Laden during the Abbottabad raid, with most of those preoccupied with securing the 3rd floor room, prior to Bin Laden’s face deliberately obliterated with weapons fire, permanently removing any opportunity at photographic identification. For that one simple act, it can never actually be known whether this were indeed Bin Laden. Why?

If indeed, as Hersh has asserted, the Bin Laden location at Abbottabad had been given up by a Pakistani intelligence officer, the CIA planners of the Abbottabad raid would have to have had a contingency plan if in fact it turned out Bin Laden was not present at the raided compound and they’d been set up by ISI. Obliterating the face of the suspect almost immediately (within a very few seconds of the ‘target’ in view) making identification necessary by DNA which according to phys.org is easily counterfeited:

“The researchers showed that with the use of basic equipment and know-how, anyone can obtain artificial DNA that can be incorporated into genuine human blood or saliva, or directly planted at a crime scene.

“Current forensic procedure fails to distinguish between such samples of blood, saliva and touched surfaces with artificial DNA,” the scientists wrote in an article recently published by “Forensic Science International: Genetics,” a scientific journal.

“Elon Ganor is CEO and co-founder of Nucleix, an Israeli company specialised in DNA analysis that conducted the research. She says it doesn’t take much to produce large quantities of artificial DNA.

“You can take a used cup of coffee or a cigarette butt, send it to a laboratory, and for a relatively small sum of money have their DNA identified, produced and sent back to you in a test tube,” he told AFP on Wednesday.

“The DNA samples, which are produced using a standard technique called whole genome amplification, can then be planted at a crime scene.

“Researchers at Nucleix also demonstrated how one could implant DNA into real blood by using a centrifuge to separate red and white blood cells and placing the DNA in the former, giving the blood a new profile.

“As part of the experiment, a sample of the modified blood was sent to a laboratory in the United States that works with FBI forensic teams, which failed to catch the forgery”

The presumed dead Bin Laden with an obliterated face was, according to official accounts, rather rapidly buried at sea (unrecoverable for future analysis) but had been positively ‘identified’ with a DNA ‘match.’

In the case of the purported Bin Laden’s face immediately obliterated, the lead SEAL had shot Bin Laden but was immediately preoccupied with securing the room and it was one of two SEAL team members who’d surprised everyone on the team with abandoning their assigned roles and instead burst immediately onto the scene behind the lead SEAL and immediately blew off the already shot and prostrate Bin Laden’s face as though this were a critical, assigned objective. Was this incredibly unprofessional act concerning two of those among the most well trained commandos in the world actually a clandestine assignment? A CIA assignment unknown even to fellow team members? Both of these SEAL members subsequently have left the service and are prostituting themselves by getting wealth and attention with “I killed Bin Laden” claims while calling each other liars. Bissonette is purported to be the greater liar of the (according to others present) two self-aggrandizing liars. A perfect obfuscation serving a distraction from the facts in the public mind. The SEAL who actually first shot Bin Laden (but didn’t blow his face off) isn’t talking. Distracted with securing the room, he didn’t have time to positively identify just who it was he had just shot:

“Conflicting accounts have emerged about how many other SEALs fired rounds into bin Laden’s lifeless body, though one former SEAL Team 6 leader who viewed the body in Jalalabad told me the body appeared to be intact aside from the chest wound and obliterated face.

“The SEALs had been specifically asked to avoid shooting bin Laden in the face. O’Neill’s decision to canoe the al Qaeda leader made him unrecognizable. A SEAL who spoke Arabic interviewed bin Laden’s wives and daughters until he was able to get two positive identifications”

The problems with Hersh’s and the Intercept accounts are manifold.

Hersh’s American sources were limited to mission training and after action reports. It could well be those sources fed Hersh a mix of fact and fiction without knowing they were feeding Hersh disinformation concerning a mission the CIA and JSOC, in after action reports, could never admit had been engineered by ISI to humiliate the Americans; with the plausible benefit to the Pakistanis being rid of a (possibly long dead) Bin Laden with Bin Laden’s demise pinned on the Americans who could never admit not only had they failed but they also had been duped. Insofar as Hersh’s Pakistani sources, they could easily have their interpretation wrong as well, if the Bin Laden raid were in actuality an ISI initiated sting operation. One incidence Hersh probably gets right is the tip the supposedly seized (by the SEALs) computer records and other materials from Abbottabad is a fairy tale.

In the case of the Intercept interviews with SEAL Team 6 members, they would never be able to admit they did not get Bin Laden, and in fact with Bin Ladin’s face almost immediately “obliterated”, most of them could not even know.

With a history of incredible incompetence and numerous egregious lies coupled with removing any evidence from independent exam, taken together with failures surrounding the JSOC and their CIA mission leadership, none of what we read can be taken at face value, none of it. Not the questioning of Bin Laden’s wives and children to ascertain identity, not the proposed Bin Laden children reputedly born since 2001, and most certainly not the end result claimed by the Americans pertaining to the 2011 raid on the compound at Abbottabad.

Did Bin Laden die at Tora Bora? We don’t know. Did Bin Laden die at Abbottabad? We don’t know.

When the Las Vegas bookies open odds on the issue, my money will be on Bin Laden dead for 10 years prior to the excruciatingly stupid CIA actors planning and executing the 2011 raid at Abbottabad, Pakistan.

Propaganda: Spy vs Spy

Why is the USA media, intelligence agencies and congress in hysteria over “Russian propaganda”? Because the Russians have, for quite some time, had the absolute upper hand in the growing field of alternative media. How is that?

What the Russians appear to have clearly recognized is how to take advantage of the corrupt nature of the western ‘mainstream’ press, an institution which has been co-opted by western intelligence agencies for a very long time.

The Russian method? It could not be more simple; report the actual facts in the geopolitical contest and when this is inconvenient, practice lies by omission. Here is an example: Both NATO (an extension of the USA) and Russia are contesting Syria over competing energy pipelines, primarily. One from Iran transiting Syria, favored by Russia; the other from Qatar transiting Syria, favored by NATO.

The disadvantage NATO has faced in this competition is Syria controlled by a Russian ally, that is, the government of Basher al-Assad.

Because NATO sponsored Salafist militants to effect ‘regime change’ (the preferred NATO model since 1980s Afghanistan), a large number had, not surprisingly, gone out of control (e.g. Islamic State is a direct result.) Paradoxically, NATO aligned states have pitched the anti-Assad endeavor in terms of a ‘war on terror’, and there are so many NATO lies (and lies to cover lies) in the co-opted western media, the Russians only need to stick to the facts (omitting the pipeline) to ultimately win the propaganda war. What’s more is, Russia further only need stand back and allow western dissident journalists to dig up the real facts on the ground:

NATO’s ‘moderate’ rebels are aligned with al-Qaida…………….. ✓
NATO policy created the conditions for the rise of IS…………… ✓
Western ally Saudi Arabia bankrolls the Salafist extremists……. ✓
NATO member Turkey has protected & supplied IS…………….. ✓

Depending on the geopolitical reality of the day, for instance whether the paranoid ego-maniac Sultan Erdogan of Turkey is behaving well or not, the stories by western dissident journalists that will withstand a close scrutiny are run in Russian or Russia friendly media outlets. The result? Odds are 100:1 you’ll get more reliable information from Russian state TV or Russian sponsored websites than from ABC, CBS, CNN or NBC.

Shoot the messenger

At the end of the day, the only solution NATO’s main sponsor, the USA, can come up with to protect it’s colossal efforts to deceive and manipulate the western public is to silence dissident journalists by cutting off access to alternative media. Zerohedge on the present proposal:

“On November 30, one week after the Washington Post launched its witch hunt against “Russian propaganda fake news”, with 390 votes for, the House quietly passed “H.R. 6393, Intelligence Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2017“, sponsored by California Republican Devin Nunes (whose third largest donor in 2016 is Google parent Alphabet, Inc), a bill which deals with a number of intelligence-related issues, including Russian propaganda, or what the government calls propaganda, and hints at a potential crackdown on “offenders.”

“A quick skim of the bill reveals “Title V—Matters relating to foreign countries”, whose Section 501 calls for the government to “counter active measures by Russia to exert covert influence … carried out in coordination with, or at the behest of, political leaders or the security services of the Russian Federation and the role of the Russian Federation has been hidden or not acknowledged publicly.”

“The section lists the following definitions of media manipulation:

Establishment or funding of a front group.
Covert broadcasting.
Media manipulation.
Disinformation and forgeries.
Funding agents of influence.
Incitement and offensive counterintelligence.
Assassinations.
Terrorist acts.

“As ActivistPost correctly notes, it is easy to see how this law, if passed by the Senate and signed by the president, could be used to target, threaten, or eliminate so-called “fake news” websites, a list which has been used to arbitrarily define any website, or blog, that does not share the mainstream media’s proclivity to serve as the Public Relations arm of a given administration“ [see the immediate preceding post, ‘On Fake News‘, at this blog]

Russian victory enhanced

The reactionary moves by the NATO/USA propagandists to having been bested in the game by Russia only sweetens the Russian victory; similar to Erdogan’s over-reaction in cracking down on anyone who doesn’t follow the ruling party line in Turkey, the USA governing elite is sowing ever deepening dissent in the psyche of those Americans actually inclined to think, understand and know for themselves what is actually going on. The sort of reactionary behavior embodied in the color of law [anti-constitutional order represented in the ‘national security state’] governing the United States and its allies destabilizes any society.

Propaganda budget

The USA media mouthpieces are not going to broadcast the American propaganda budget, so let’s turn to Russia’s Sputnik to get the facts:

“Last year, the Broadcasting Board of Governors (BBG), the US federal agency responsible for Voice of America and Radio Liberty/Radio Free Europe, among others, requested a substantial budget increase. Seeking a boost of $30 million, the BBG’s budget soared to $751.5 million.

“That was, evidently, not enough money. President Obama’s newly proposed budget for fiscal year 2017 proposes another massive increase in spending for the BBG. If granted, the agency will receive nearly $778 million, a roughly $27 million increase” [over the $30 million boost]

The Russians are willing to broadcast the factual news the USA’s intelligence agency co-opted media mouth-pieces will not. Point made?

Western press propagandizing Americans

How much of the USA’s propaganda budget is actually aimed at Americans?

The newest version of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) includes an amendment that would legalize the use of propaganda on the American public, reports Michael Hastings of BuzzFeed.

The amendment — proposed by Mac Thornberry (R-Texas) and Adam Smith (D-Wash.) and passed in the House last Friday afternoon — would effectively nullify the Smith-Mundt Act of 1948, which explicitly forbids information and psychological operations aimed at influencing U.S. public opinion

Huh. And yeah, that was made into law.

Syria: The Pipeline That Hasn’t Happened (yet)

Alternative title: Target Iran

Our republic went off the rails with the National Security Act of 1947 and the birth of the national security state. Since, the votes at the boards of Northrop-Grumman, DuPont, Chevron, Unocal, et al, have come to carry more weight in the direction the USA has taken than those votes of any organized political bloc. When the dust has settled, chances are Pence will be the shadow president a-la Dick Cheney and Trump the ventriloquist’s frustrated lap dummy. The national security state (read corporate boards) will keep it’s python’s squeeze on our institutions intact; what remains to be seen is what modifications will be made. The Trump ‘team’ includes some of the nastiest military-industrial and corporate personalities American has on offer in chicken hawks Rudy Giuliani whose dealings with the Mojahedin-e-Khalq has seldom been honestly exposed, and John Bolton who wants a war with Iran. And not least, former US Army intelligence officer and Bill Clinton CIA Director James ‘Bomb Iran & North Korea‘ Woolsey.

What do these personalities hold in common with a google ban on ‘fake news’? They will never tell you the biggest fake news spigots are CNN, ABC, CBS, NBC and MSNBC, outlets that NEVER report on what this is all about; oil and gas, not terrorism as put forward by the western media. The Bush invasion of Afghanistan, where the CIA had (1980s) instigated and supported what became al-Qaida, was about a pipeline. Iraq was about oil where USA policy subsequently caused an al-Qaida branch to morph into Islamic State. The related Syria conflict is about competing pipelines, one favored by Russia, the other favored by NATO. Recalling Robert Kennedy Jr, earlier this year, penned an excellent expose on Syria and the competing pipelines behind that ‘covert’ war waged by the USA employing proxies, including radical Islamist groups aligned with al-Qaida:

“the Russians, who sell 70 percent of their gas exports to Europe, viewed the Qatar/Turkey pipeline as an existential threat. In Putin’s view, the Qatar pipeline is a NATO plot to change the status quo, deprive Russia of its only foothold in the Middle East, strangle the Russian economy and end Russian leverage in the European energy market. In 2009, Assad announced that he would refuse to sign the agreement to allow the pipeline to run through Syria “to protect the interests of our Russian ally.”

“Assad further enraged the Gulf’s Sunni monarchs by endorsing a Russian-approved “Islamic pipeline” running from Iran’s side of the gas field through Syria and to the ports of Lebanon. The Islamic pipeline would make Shiite Iran, not Sunni Qatar, the principal supplier to the European energy market and dramatically increase Tehran’s influence in the Middke [sic] East and the world. Israel also was understandably determined to derail the Islamic pipeline, which would enrich Iran and Syria and presumably strengthen their proxies, Hezbollah and Hamas.

“Secret cables and reports by the U.S., Saudi and Israeli intelligence agencies indicate that the moment Assad rejected the Qatari pipeline, military and intelligence planners quickly arrived at the consensus that fomenting a Sunni uprising in Syria to overthrow the uncooperative Bashar Assad was a feasible path to achieving the shared objective of completing the Qatar/Turkey gas link”

The RFK Jr piece clearly echoes an earlier essay by Gore Vidal and a proposed pipeline USA based multinationals coveted, requiring a war in Afghanistan:

“As it proved, the conquest of Afghanistan had nothing to do with Osama. He was simply a pretext for replacing the Taliban with a relatively stable government that would allow Union Oil of California to lay its pipeline for the profit of, among others, the Cheney-Bush junta.

At that time, Unocal had already begun training Afghan men in pipeline construction, with US government approval. BBC News, (4 December 1997) : `A spokesman for the company Unocal said the Taliban were expected to spend several days at the company’s [Texas] headquarters . . . a BBC regional correspondent says the proposal to build a pipeline across Afghanistan is part of an international scramble to profit from developing the rich energy resources of the Caspian Sea.’ The Inter Press Service (IPS) reported: `some Western businesses are warming up to the Taliban despite the movement’s institutionalisation of terror, massacres, abductions and impoverishment.’ CNN (6 October 1996): `The United States wants good ties [with the Taliban] but can’t openly seek them while women are being oppressed.’

“The Taliban, rather better organised than rumoured, hired for PR one Leila Helms, a niece of Richard Helms, former director of the CIA. In October 1996, the Frankfurter Rundschau reported that Unocal `has been given the go-ahead from the new holders of power in Kabul to build a pipeline from Turkmenistan via Afghanistan to Pakistan . . .’ This was a real coup for Unocal as well as other candidates for pipelines, including Condoleezza’s old employer Chevron. Although the Taliban was already notorious for its imaginative crimes against the human race, the Wall Street Journal, scenting big bucks, fearlessly announced: `Like them or not, the Taliban are the players most capable of achieving peace in Afghanistan at this moment in history.’ The New York Times (26 May 1997) leapt aboard the pipeline juggernaut. `The Clinton administration has taken the view that a Taliban victory would act as counterweight to Iran . . . and would offer the possibility of new trade routes that could weaken Russian and Iranian influence in the region.’

“But by 1999, it was clear that the Taliban could not provide the security we would need to protect our fragile pipelines. The arrival of Osama as warrior for Allah on the scene refocused, as it were, the bidding.”

What remains to be seen is, whether this group surrounding Trump, as responsible for the spread of terror via proxy wars abroad as anyone, has determined some dialing back is in order. Clearly the model of covertly supporting Wahabi extremism to effect regime change to benefit big oil & gas has increasingly spun out of control over the decades, since the ultimate stupidity of using religious extremists to wage proxy wars had been initiated in Afghanistan by Robert Gates under Reagan.

Just as large a question is, has Bolton’s, Woolsey’s and Giuliani’s hostility towards Russian ally Iran been tempered? Almost certainly not. Insofar as what the actuality of policy will initiate, a comment of Woolsey is particularly disturbing, as it had been made in the context of Russia and geopolitics…

“I think what Mr. Trump does is much more important than what he says”

…considering:

Woolsey chairs the Leadership Council of the Foundation for Defense of Democracies, an important bastion of hawkish “pro-Israel” advocacy in the United States that has served as an outpost for many well-known rightist ideologues. Among his activities at FDD has been to support the work of its Energy Security” program, which advocates for the United States to break “break the oil monopoly” that helps prop up “regimes and individuals who fund terrorist activities”

Based on open source analysis, it would appear this preceding applies to Iran as opposed to Saudi Arabia. Rabid Iran hater Bibi Netanyahu has a new best friend in Washington. Be informed; Woolsey was a top McCain advisor when McCain mimicked the Beach Boys:

A Most Unlikely Story

“Never Trump”

This was the headline in my mail from Jonathan Penton at unlikelystories.org. Followed on with:

“Hopefully the subject line is clear enough. Fascism is back, and we’ve chosen to fight it. What have you got to say about it? We’re looking for all sorts of reactions, predictive and current, global and American. We want all the art and literature and crazy passionate rage you’ve got”

Ok, so Trump played on racism and nationalist sentiment in his election campaign. No argument with that. But then…

Have a read:

“the covert Obama strikes, the first of which hit Pakistan just three days after his inauguration, have killed almost six times more people and twice as many civilians than those ordered in the Bush years, the data shows”

Who is to say Obama and Hillary are not fascist? Might in fact Hillary be closer to Mussolini than Trump is to Hitler? Have another read:

“Look, we could talk our faces blue about the differences and analogies between fascism and racism, something the ‘new right wing’ seems to have plenty of, and something Muhammad Ali’s death and yesterday’s Orlando massacre should teach us yet another lesson about. And we could talk about what they might potentially do if/when they acquire political power. But none of that makes these people fascists. Whereas the other side of the equation, the [lame duck] incumbents…”

Moving forward, would liberals care to examine Hillary’s support for a neo-nazi assisted coup in Ukraine? You don’t have to look far for the evidence, here is an authentic political left cover of the subject:

“One of Clinton’s last actions as Secretary of State was to call for the arming of Syrian rebels fighting Assad. As the London Telegraph reported, Clinton’s plan to give weapons to Assad’s enemies was backed by not only former Defense Secretary Leon Panetta, but also by former CIA director David Petraeus and General Martin Dempsey, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. While Obama initially rejected his Secretary of State’s plan, he eventually agreed to arm Syrian rebels in the goal of ousting Assad.

“However, as ISIS began to get a foothold into Syria and Iraq, the “moderates” that received weapons from the US were eventually overtaken by ISIS fighters, who suddenly found themselves in the possession of military-grade weapons paid for with US tax dollars. In a study conducted by Conflict Armament Research, which tracks the movement of arms in war-torn regions, researchers found that ISIS has weapons and ammunition not just from the US, but also from coalition forces that are funded by the US government. The access to advanced weaponry was likely the reason for ISIS’ rapid expansion into Libya, Egypt, and elsewhere.”

So, who is the proven murderer? ‘Never Clinton’ would perhaps be the best news the contemporary world could know, while on the other hand, the petty mobster Trump hasn’t had his chance … yet.

“George Soros and other rich liberals who spent tens of millions of dollars trying to elect Hillary Clinton are gathering in Washington for a three-day, closed door meeting to retool the big-money left to fight back against Donald Trump”

Politico is hardly some fringe news outlet. So, who are the fascists? A most unlikely story, “Never Trump”, would have you believe a proven mass killer, Hillary, is preferable to a petty mobster yet to put his hands on a trigger-misnomer called ‘The Oval Office.’ Huh. Inciting extra-constitutional street violence on behalf of a loser is apparently the new liberal value…

And who is a poet celebrated at unlikelystories.org? How about a “Soros Life Achievement Award” inkster:

“JANOS MARNO (born 1949, Budapest): Janos has published eight volumes of poetry and a book of essays, and translated works by Paul Celan. From 1967-1980, he silenced himself due to political discrimination. He has won the Jozsef Attila prize, the Dery prize, and the Soros Life Achievement award“

What more could be said? Considering…

The Logic Behind the American Vote:

“Some toilet paper is scented. Most toilet paper is flushed. It follows, some flushed toilet paper will smell good“
