Two days ago we reported something which we had anticipated for a long time but nonetheless did not expect to take shape so swiftly: namely, that with Assad’s regime close to collapse and fighting a war on three different fronts (one of which is directly supported by US air and “advisor” forces), Putin would have no choice but to finally intervene in the most anticipated showdown in recent history as “Russian fighter pilots are expected to begin arriving in Syria in the coming days, and will fly their Russian air force fighter jets and attack helicopters against ISIS and rebel-aligned targets within the failing state.”

This was indirectly confirmed the very next day when an al-Nusra linked Twitter account posted pictures of a Russian drone and a Su-34 fighter jet – the kind which is not flown by the Syrian air force – flying over the Nusra-controlled western idlib province.

Another twitter account said to have captured Russian soldiers in Zabadani “while fighting for Assad”

Also, one day after our report, the Telegraph reported that “Syrian state TV reportedly broadcasts footage of Russian soldiers and armoured vehicle fighting alongside pro-Assad troops.” According to the article, “the video footage claimed to show troops and a Russian armoured vehicle fighting Syrian rebels alongside President Bashar al-Assad’s troops in Latakia. It is reportedly possible to hear Russian being spoken by the troops in the footage.”

It added that “a Russian naval vessel was photographed heading south through the Bosphorus strait carrying large amounts of military equipment, according to social media and a shipping blog” while “an unnamed activist with the Syrian rebel group the Free Syrian Army told The Times: “The Russians have been there a long time.”

“There are more Russian officials who came to Slunfeh in recent weeks. We don’t know how many but I can assure you there has been Russian reinforcement.” ”

Then earlier today we got the closest thing to a confirmation from the White House itself which confirmed that “it was closely monitoring reports that Russia is carrying out military operations in Syria, warning such actions, if confirmed, would be “destabilising and counter-productive.”

Obama spokesman Joshn Earnest essentially confirmed Russia was already operating in Syria when he said that “we are aware of reports that Russia may have deployed military personnel and aircraft to Syria, and we are monitoring those reports quite closely.”

“Any military support to the Assad regime for any purpose, whether it’s in the form of military personnel, aircraft supplies, weapons, or funding, is both destabilising and counterproductive.”

And another confirmation: “a US official confirmed that “Russia has asked for clearances for military flight to Syria,” but added “we don’t know what their goals are.”

“Evidence has been inconclusive so far as to what this activity is.”

Other reports have suggested Russia has targeted Islamic State group militants, who have attacked forces loyal to Russian-backed Syrian leader Bashar al-Assad.

Both the White House and the Pentagon refused to say whether they had intelligence suggesting the reports were accurate.

Of course, what is left unsaid is that since Russia is there under the humanitarian pretext of fighting the evil ISIS, the same pretext that the US, Turkey, and the Saudis are all also there for, when in reality everyone is fighting for land rights to the most important gas pipeline in decades, the US is limited in its diplomatic recoil.

Indeed as we sarcastically said last week: “See: the red herring that is ISIS can be used just as effectively for defensive purposes as for offensive ones. And since the US can’t possibly admit the whole situation is one made up farce, it is quite possible that the world will witness its first regional war when everyone is fighting a dummy, proxy enemy which doesn’t really exist, when in reality everyone is fighting everyone else!”

Which now effectively ends the second “foreplay” phase of the Syrian proxy war (the first one took place in the summer of 2013 when in a repeat situation, Russia was supporting Assad only the escalations took place in the naval theater with both Russian and US cruisers within kilometers of each other off the Syrian coast), which means the violent escalation phase is next. It also means that Assad was within days of losing control fighting a multi-front war with enemies supported by the US, Turkey and Saudi Arabia, and Putin had no choice but to intervene or else risk losing Gazprom’s influence over Europe to the infamous Qatari gas pipeline which is what this whole 3 years war is all about.

Finally, it means that the European refugee crisis, which is a direct consequence of the ISIS-facilitated destabilization of the Syrian state (as a reminder, ISIS is a US creation meant to depose of the Syrian president as leaked Pentagon documents have definitively revealed) is about to get much worse as 2013’s fabricated “chemical gas” YouTube clip will be this years “Refugee crisis.” It will be, and already has been, blamed on Syria’s president Assad in order to drum up media support for what is now an inevitable western intervention in Syria.

The problem, however, has emerged: Russia is already on the ground, and will hardly bend over to any invading force.

Review of No Snowflake in an Avalanche by Mikey Weinstein, originally posted to amazon.com in 2012 –

This book is a damning indictment of the cowardice of men in leadership, a testament to the courage and sacrifice of those they presume to lead. For anyone who’d thought a nascent and growing extreme fundamentalism in the USA merely a threat, this book should make them think again and should rightfully frighten and galvanize to action anyone concerned a cult within our military can both: break the mentality of, and train a young officer for future assignment to launch nuclear weapons.

Where to begin? I could write essays on multiple subjects of peril this book has only scratched the surface of, yet that scratch bleeds profusely throughout its pages. It may seem odd to some that, for me, the most striking and empathetic passages of the book is a wife and mother with Multiple Sclerosis surrendering her dream of a life as uncomplicated as possible, as a matter of principle, giving up her pursuit of happiness and the American Dream to take on the malignant social cancer infesting and infecting what must ultimately be what our nation is judged by in the eyes of today’s world; The perception of American empire, the Armed Forces of the United States of America.

As I write, I know empathy, suffering Neuro-Behcets Syndrome, a mimic Multiple Sclerosis. My own desire has been many years wishing only to live out those years I have left in peace, but no, a narcissism of arrogance circumstantially known as fundamentalist Christian dominionism has dictated my duties according to conscience as well. Yes’m, I understand and know empathy in our common alliance against evil.

The human dimension is profound, the humiliation, the grief, the sacrifice and the fighting back against stacked odds at every turn for those ethical civilian and military warriors detailed in this book.

Where to begin? Striking is the thought, here is the true story’s protagonist with impeccable conservative credentials, Michael L. ‘Mikey’ Weinstein, breaking down every stereotype and smashing every barrier in a focused, concerted effort which, if successful, and there is no guarantee of success, should win the admiration of dyed in the wool liberals, feminists particularly, and people of every sane persuasion. Mikey has marched a long march to arrive on the cusp of achieving immortality in history. I am moved by his story and, by my own independent research, towards expending precious drops of my own small reservoir of life force to help Mikey achieve his goals.

This is no small achievement in its own right that a man, Mikey Weinstein, would have come so far in his personal evolution as to overcome his history of working to keep Iran-Contra from spilling into the open under Reagan, to win my avowed admiration. But here again is a striking moment, it was my own experiences as a soldier had turned me against wars altogether, no different to Howard Zinn. Mikey fits the same mold, only we each have our separate timelines to fated evolution and goals.

Mikey’s goal is quite straight forward. To take the American military, the most lethal military in the world by far, out of the hands of and keep it out of the hands of, what can only be accurately described as Madmen. Any such endeavor is highly worthy of my liberal support.

Where to begin? Critically important, the book makes a case for young American service women and men dying in vain on account of the narcissism, and nothing more, of those General Officers and politicians trusted with our soldiers care at the highest levels of these United States of America’s institutions, whether at the level of the Joint Chiefs of Staff or sitting in either house of Congress.

This last will be the focus of my essay; I will leave the several other critically important subjects to the insights of other reviewers. I cannot speak to nukes as an expert, there are better qualified to speak to contemporary military/civilian life, but one thing I had dusted off and polished these past several years were my intelligence analysis skills. Here follows my analysis, in lockstep with the books conclusions, insofar as how deeply penetrated and compromised our military’s highest offices and ranking officer corps have become by dominionism and will yet cost us dearly in American lives and blood.

In my day, our Special Operations Forces had not yet become pervasively criminalized. We saw ourselves more along the lines of an elite Peace Corps working the most hazardous territories of a Cold War world. Critical to our mission was pacification of populace in the areas we worked, and pacification is and was a straightforward word. We worked to bring peace to neighborhoods in conflicts. John Wayne stereotype aside, the military aspects were honest endeavor to provide self-defense training to remote villages with an objective the populace could not be easily exploited by irregular militia, but that was never going to be accomplished in any case, except that we understood and respected and even integrated to the local customs and culture. That we had elite and lethal training was primarily survival oriented, yes there were the occasional ‘special operation’ to perhaps decapitate the leadership of a particular guerrilla group or undertake sabotage behind enemy lines in the course of our work, examples given, but this was the exception, not the rule. Primarily our superior skills were required to operate small teams in areas where we might meet with considerably stronger numerical force. The highly honed and elite skills of the 1960s and 1970s Green Berets teams were more often than not, more than equal to any larger irregular force. If vastly out numbered, we knew how to inflict savage and costly casualties on our pursuers in the course of evasion. In our pacification work, Action Anthropology was the norm of the day. We integrated to our human and social environment. We were armed educators, medical providers and social workers. We were not primarily meant to be offensive; to the contrary, restraint was a big piece of our discipline and training. Cowboy mentalities were not tolerated.

It is quite clear things have changed away from this focus, dramatically, for the military applications of special operations forces, in the approximately four decades since Vietnam.

In the span of a few hours or so in Iraq, one Special Forces team leader, inflamed by watching the ‘Passion of the Christ’, instigated an incident that effectively made a war zone of an entire neighborhood and radicalized several hundred, perhaps several thousand Muslims. This commissioned officer had used a bullhorn to have “Jesus kill Mohammed” blared into a Muslim neighborhood, and when the perfectly predictable reaction was everyone with a gun in that area of the city showing up to shoot at this moron, a weapon that could blow through the front and back wall of a house was turned on the neighborhood homes by the Special Forces team.

Many of those consequently radicalized Iraqis no doubt turned to local militia and offered their services to train to kill our regular American soldiers over this one of many [unpunished] incidents of Christian extremism provided elite training. Our ‘elite’ forces had just accomplished the absolutely criminal act of getting more Americans killed in future battles. This is the criminalization of our special operations forces by extremist Christian fundamentalist commanders. Who are those commanders? I will name two.

General William G. Boykin. A rabid fundamentalist Christian, his career in special operations is littered with tactical disasters. It would seem his only qualifications to have advanced throughout his career are his ‘belief in God.’ That and his belief in his special operations crusaders. With these mentalities at the top of command, what is promoted under you will be a solid corps of those with shared bigoted beliefs. General Boykin, since his retirement in 2007, had to be ‘dis-invited’ from speaking at West Point Academy on account of his virulent hatred of all things and people that are ‘not Christian or not Christian enough.’ Consider it is today’s special operations trained veterans who move into SWAT jobs in your local and state police force, are hired by Blackwater [then Xe Corp, now Academi, a lot of changed identities over a string of fundamentalism motivated crimes] and other de facto corporate militia, join the CIA and FBI or simply become mercenaries. These people with elite training and extreme belief will be getting many more Americans killed over a long haul ahead of us and not only in places like Iraq and Afghanistan. Their numbers are only growing, thanks in large part to:

General Patraeus. It is common political knowledge in Washington DC that President Obama had appointed General Patraeus to head the CIA as a means of sidelining the General’s political ambitions over serious concerns Patraeus would hook up with the likes of Sarah Palin or Michelle Bachman in a run against Obama for the presidency in 2012. Either way you have it, a commander-in-chief, whether a military veteran or not, is a sword that can cut two ways. Obama’s naiveté in military affairs, having never served, is the 2nd worst possible circumstance in an America where naked fundamentalist ambition has overtaken the leadership of American military command structures, outside an out and out fundamentalist president. That Obama would, as a matter of political expediency, appoint Patraeus to head up the CIA with its out of control Operational Division working in close concert with the radicalized and criminalized Christian extremist special operations forces of today’s American military, is simply asking for disaster. General Patraeus was key [together with Robert Gates] in convincing Obama to radically beef up the USA’s special operations forces, at a time it was already decided the overall troop numbers would have to be reduced.

General Patraeus has had a close association with special operations forces throughout his career. Since Patraeus appointment to DCI [Director of Central Intelligence or CIA] Admiral William H McRaven, now overall boss of the special operations forces which these days are routinely assigned to CIA operational missions, has requested his forces be allowed to operate outside the traditional Department of Defense channels. This is, no doubt, a sleight-of-hand grab for these elite forces away from normal supervision via established Department of Defense structures, and away from oversight by Admiral McRaven’s professional associate CIA Director Patraeus. This cannot be a good thing.

The myth of General Patraeus in the public purview is a demonstrable tactical lie. In fact the ‘surge that turned around the war in Iraq’ for which he became famous was at best a deceit along the lines of a shell game or bait and switch. General Patraeus beefed up the American force, momentarily disrupted the insurgency with an all out push that could not be sustained in any case, and then pulled the bulk of the American forces back to their bases and took the Americans, for the first time, largely out of public circulation before the insurgents could regroup. It is this removing the American soldiers from the everyday Iraqi life which had dramatically dropped the violence in Iraq, nothing more. The same could have been accomplished in 2004, and honestly at that, were it not for literally crusading extremist neo-con commanders and secular officers afraid to speak out and challenge the status quo at the CIA and Pentagon, to call a spade a spade, a career ending move. It is truly Faustian, if you speak out your career is over and you have been weeded from the ranks which only become more Christian extremist with the favored or ‘blessed’ replacements, if you keep your mouth shut, it all evolves towards fascism regardless.

Moving over to Afghanistan, notoriously there have been many special operations forces crimes, inclusive of attacking a wedding where fleeing women and kids had been shot in their backs, cold blooded murders. We pay the Afghans compensation but the root problem of anti-Islam fundamentalism is never effectively addressed and the hate for the Americans only spreads. General Patraeus has had a large hand in keeping these American special operations independent of NATO, effectively exercising impunity and generating a strengthened Taliban when the Americans are seen as a worse curse.

Now, we are seeing the full fruition of the crusading mentality and criminal anti-social behaviors with the ‘burning of the Koran’ riots in Kabul triggering a long pent up but growing frustration of the Afghan people as a whole. No Snowflake in an Avalanche points towards the inevitable conclusion: Our fundamentalist neo-con Generals, in the guise of patriotism, have handed an untrained Obama a perfect storm. This is no accident.

The book’s holdings are consistent with the preceding scenario I have drawn for the reader from my knowledge of social psychology, special operations intelligence and tactics. The book meticulously documents the facts of the extremism in our military leadership; it is a well written book, concise and cohesive to the points of sedition and treason at the highest levels of the United States Armed Forces and matches my independent assessment of these past several years, summarized in the preceding.

To the several parliamentarians:

I wish to draw your attention to the attached (pdf file) 2012 document created by the United States Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) concerning Syria. In this document you will find the language:

“the West, Gulf countries and Turkey support the opposition…

“…there is the possibility of establishing a declared or undeclared Salafist principality in Eastern Syria .. and this is exactly what the supporting powers to the opposition want, in order to isolate the Syrian regime…

“ISI could also declare an Islamic State through its union with other terrorist organizations in Iraq and Syria, which will create grave danger in regards to unifying Iraq…”

My assessment here:

Relevant to this assessment, and the attached DIA document pointedly predicting the rise of Islamic State as direct result of the western democracies utilizing al-Qaida as a ‘strategic asset’ to isolate Syria’s Assad, I will note it was on David Petraeus watch at CIA when this policy had been implemented. David Petraeus is a known person of interest in war crimes in Iraq, feeding the sectarian civil war several years prior to his tenure at CIA aggressively pursuing policy leading to the rise of Islamic State:

David Petraeus is also identified as an extremist endorsing a Christian military by the Military Religious Freedom Foundation, and had been a part of that Pentagon cabal exercising impunity in the face of law mandating a secular military. But perhaps more interesting to your institution is, the present German defense minister’s name on a roster including that of the alleged criminal David Petraeus:

I believe it is not only in the interest of the German people, but all of humanity, to demand answers of the present CDU/CSU/SPD coalition government of Frau Merkel as to the extent of German intelligence, not only possible military, participation in a crime of supporting al-Qaida, leading to the rise of Islamic State, as well demand answers as to any ongoing activities inimical to the general welfare of the western democracies in what is rapidly becoming an ever more dangerous world.

Why NSA Wants Your Metadata

In effect per the NSA usage, the gathered information you would use to create an outline of someone’s interests, activities and networking. You don’t need the details to accomplish the preceding.

One likely reason why the NSA scoops up metadata can be found in the technique employed in open source intelligence analysis.

Performing open source intelligence analysis isn’t rocket science. An analogy would be it is assembling many bits of information to complete a jig-saw puzzle. The main complication is, you have to draw your puzzle pieces from a large source with the parts of many puzzles mixed together. How this complication is overcome is, by compiling threads of metadata.

By following the many threads specific to the subject you’re analyzing, you build a metadata base. Within this base there will be many bias, 1) some socially/culturally shaped bias & 2) other, deliberate disinformation bias. Intelligence agencies and other players (e.g. corporate entities) will play on the former, to create a false picture with the latter.

With an understanding of the first, you act on knowledge of the second, to defeat the many false leads. The Achilles heel of the second is, example given, FOX reports a fact of Dick Cheney & Alberto Gonzales had been indicted by a grand jury in Texas, for racketeering having to do with the private prisons for profit industry. You understand FOX is into disinformation and will falsely report on the facts surrounding the indictment but in fact they’ve provided metadata (the indictment) is useful in assembling a separate focus on the criminal nature of a Dick Cheney-Alberto Gonzales criminal enterprise. Following the many metadata threads of criminal personalities like Cheney and his several associates, enables assembling a puzzle and bringing focus to the larger, actual portrait, of a criminal actor’s endeavors. You didn’t need many of the details, subject to spin, beneath the metadata, to develop an accurate narrative or portrait of events per a criminal enterprise in relation to scope and activity.

Now, let’s reverse this scenario and give the criminals the initiative, and as well, a large metadata advantage where there are few metadata disinformation threads to be sifted out, to arrive at a focus.

With the metadata of the entire American people (email headers, website visits, phone records) and a relevant computer program for analysis of specific subjects, the NSA could profile, quite accurately and rapidly, to determine exactly who is interested in what and why. Additionally, what the NSA, per se, indeed does with our metadata could be nearly besides the point. Why? Because you only need to look at who has the benefit of and could do analysis quite independently with access to the NSA data, or that is to say the literally millions of security cleared operatives of whom a large swath happen to be in private contracting. Just look at what Snowden had access to from within a private corporation and he states he avoided collecting large amounts of sensitive information, not only was appalled at fellow employees sharing naked photos of ‘hot’ young women who thought they were only sharing their photos with boyfriends. It’s not a stretch to say within this corrupt environment, if Monsanto or Chevron wanted anti-corporate activists analyzed for purposes of illegally undermining their work, whether with blackmail or in extreme instance, assassination, the corporations would likely be able to acquire whatever information they liked.

Back to the NSA itself, it doesn’t hurt to remind people this is a Pentagon run entity and our Pentagon is chock full of, and led by, what the civil rights organization Military Religious Freedom Foundation describes as “Christian Taliban.” This is a Pentagon where it is clearly and pointedly and repeatedly demonstrated they will not follow the laws governing the military when it comes to protecting Christian fundamentalist generals breaking those laws and undermining our constitutional order, so how could anyone, ever, expect the NSA would play by the rules they claim are in force to protect the lot of us? A clearer case of ‘caveat emptor’ was never in the cards.

Now, what do you suppose Dick Cheney and associates had in mind when KBR corporation was contracted to build ‘FEMA Disaster Camps’ across the USA (carried on & expanded under the Obama administration) and how that would play with the preceding illustration drawn for you? It makes me laugh when liberals think the 2nd Amendment should be done away with, because if there were a post ‘disaster’ extra-constitutional military junta in the USA, other than a large handful of honest old line conservatives, the majority of candidates for incarceration are likely already profiled and they will largely include those most effective progressive, anti-corporate activists (excepting those gatekeepers whose materials you’ll often find in so-called ‘alternative media’ such as TomDispatch and the Daily Beast, examples given.)

In conclusion, people should pay closer attention to the NSA’s controlling entity, the CIA special operations fused Pentagon, staffed by Christian Taliban. These fused entities, having been exposed as telling too many false stories to list in the single case of the so-called ‘Bin Ladin raid’, have now released Bin Ladin’s ‘reading list’ or the materials owned by a man who may or not have been alive since 2002 and the last reliable information on someone requiring regular dialysis.

Now, the CIA fused Pentagon wants you to believe the ghost of Bin Ladin was into 9/11 conspiracies. All this should really tell you is; this is information the Pentagon views as highly threatening and wants discredited with guilt by association. Why? Read it right here:

A Constitutional Amendment that reads just so:

1) No corporation shall know the privileges and immunities of citizenship but its directors shall be punishable under the criminal and civil laws of the United States for any egregious behaviors detrimental to the health, welfare and security of the people of these United States or for violating the rights of citizens secured by the first through eighth amendments

2) No amendment (or clause contained therein) in this constitution shall be construed to be ‘unincorporated’ (or otherwise ignored by the judiciary) particularly noting the ‘equal protection’ clause of the fourteenth amendment, and all citizens shall be provided a paper ballot

3) Every judge, justice or lawyer who had affirmed the decision ‘Citizens United’ shall be removed from office and forever barred from the practice of law in the United States of America

4) Every person in government, and every lobbyist or persons behind any lobby responsible for the creation and/or employ of the FISA laws and FISA court shall be punished for violating their oath of office and/or subverting the Constitution of these United States; with a term of no less than twenty five years imprisonment and no more than life imprisonment (to be served without parole.)

If we did not have treasonous Federalist Society aligned justices (Roberts, Scalia, Alito, Thomas & Kennedy) sitting on the Supreme Court with a determination to hand our republic to corporate boards and filthy lucre, this sort of thinking (and proposed action) would be entirely unnecessary… but this is the sort of thinking the people on the street should understand they can demand and this is the sort of information we should see discussed and pushed at every level of alternative media

Farewell To The Black White-Man

Relating to the fact we’re entering the 2016 elections cycle, it does NOT bode well to entertain the year and a half of upcoming political soap-opera en route to a preordained conclusion; your vote will not mean shit in an insiders’ culture-club where the Generals at the Pentagon & NATO are pushing us into military confrontation with Russia, sociopaths a step above the more typical organized crime run the international financial system that controls your local bank, international narcotics traffickers control the ‘special activities’ division of, and select who will actually run the CIA, in a political era where it can be plausibly stated the Department of Defense counts your vote (its a ‘software’ issue) and the FBI will NOT investigate cabinet level crime, including their boss or the Attorney General’s refusal to bring prosecutions concerning egregious violations of our foundational law at every department in all branches of government. This is what ‘globalization’ has accomplished folks.

However it might seem unlikely at first sight, what had brought on this particular diatribe is, Raul Castro stating “Obama is an honest man.”

Alternatively, Obama stating “Hillary would be an excellent President.”

Relating to Hillary Clinton, and I’ve posted up these four paragraphs before, here’s a juicy tidbit not many are aware of, but comes with impeccable journalistic credentials. According to Mother Jones Magazine, in Hillary’s own words, she is under the spiritual tutelage of Doug Coe:

“Coe, she writes, “is a unique presence in Washington: a genuinely loving spiritual mentor and guide to anyone, regardless of party or faith, who wants to deepen his or her relationship with God.”

And according to the excellent investigative reporting of Jeff Sharlet on ‘The Family’, the cult which sponsors the ‘National Prayer Breakfast’, Coe, in his own words, is no stranger to violence in politics:

“Doug Coe offered Pol Pot and Osama bin Laden as men whose commitment to their causes is to be emulated. Preaching on the meaning of Christ’s words, he says, “You know Jesus said ‘You got to put Him before mother-father-brother sister? Hitler, Lenin, Mao, that’s what they taught the kids. Mao even had the kids killing their own mother and father. But it wasn’t murder. It was for building the new nation. The new kingdom”

I’ll add here, Obama isn’t the only proven killer (recalling Obama’s ‘kill list Tuesdays‘ with CIA Director Brennan) to endorse the proven killer (Libya & Syria, particularly, and Arab Spring hit-jobs, generally) that is Hillary:

“Hillary Clinton is someone I’ve known for a long, long time. She’s a patriot. I think she’s doing a lot of the right things. She’s very tough. … and she’s got the right instincts” –Condoleezza Rice

Now, returning to Castro performing media fellatio on Obama, I would suppose Castro’s “Obama is an honest man” rationale might have gone something like the following (behind closed doors.)

Castro: You know it was the United Fruit board of directors organized the CIA policy on Cuba since the days of Eisenhower, murdered Kennedy and attempted to blame us.

Obama: I don’t deny it. But you know this cannot ever be acknowledged to the American public, as a matter of fact.

After the meeting, Castro states to the press “Obama is a honest man.”

Whether or not President Castro grasps the inherent contradiction in his statement, that’s geopolitics, folks.

In the meanwhile, it would appear a cold calculation has been adopted; Cuba could not be taken by coercion, and so will be taken instead by cultural and economic co-option.

Also what cannot ever be acknowledged to the public are just a few more salient facts; a religious cult consisting of generals and politicians embedded in NATO has gained control over the tactical nuclear weapons that likely will initiate erasing the Middle-East and Europe from the globe, ‘globalization’ has so integrated the military-industrial complex of the Western democracies to the economies of the world, if wars were to decline and weapons production dramatically slow, it would collapse the world’s economic engine. Nature cannot sustain the ‘sustained development’ economic model in any case and environmental collapse will collapse civilization regardless .. and as the system stands, we only are provided with leadership desperate to keep together what cannot be held together regardless, national constitutions & the rule of law notwithstanding.

And so it is, the greatest bait and switch since the church marketed Jesus, the infamous Black White-Man that is Barack Obama, son of a White intelligence officer, mentored by the CIA, will step aside for a 70 years old criminal religious-conservative posing as a ‘liberal’ who in actuality follows a Bush family adviser-spiritual guru in love with Mao, Hitler and Pol Pot. And in what will be a carefully crafted ‘heads I win, tails you lose’ circumstance or ‘fail-safe’ electoral outcome, Hillary’s likely opponent will be Jeb Bush (or some other ‘family’ man.)

The Intercept Takes A Dive, Episode 2

Call this one ‘the Iranian (Pierre Omidyar) who owns a Jew (Glenn Greenwald) that pimps a Polack (Marcin Mamoń)’ in a case that is, prima facie, an information operation. With focus having come to the fact of Pierre Omidyar, The Intercept’s bankroller, has funded elements in Ukraine leading to the overthrow of the Yanukovich regime, a de facto support contributing to the present civil war, clearly Omidyar has been supporting the side of those now constituting the regime in Kiev. How will The Intercept spin it’s bending over to take billionaire ‘Shah-man’ Omidyar’s shaft from behind?

The Intercept previously hosting Askold Krushelnycky (see ‘The Intercept Takes A Dive‘) struck me as similar to The Nation hosting Bob Drefuss or the Washington Post providing a platform to David Ignatius; a professional liar does not add a ‘fair and balanced’ perspective (recalls FOX NEWS) but merely tosses a monkey wrench into the gears of truth.

Now we have some famous Polish journalist (famous in Poland, in any case), Marcin Mamoń, has been taken on by The Intercept, and he somehow manages to screw Greenwald while in the same moment giving Omidyar a blow-job:

This newest one reads as though it’d been scripted by the brighter minds of western intelligence; following initial references to “Russian backed [ethnic Russian] separatists” suddenly the language changes:

“When Kolomoisky saw that the Russians might capture Dnipropetrovsk”

And

“When the Russians stopped approximately 120 miles short of Dnipropetrovsk, Kolomoisky suddenly lost interest and stopped paying the volunteer battalions”

And

“There are suspicions that his location was betrayed to the Russians”

And

“They came to a small village called Chernukhino, where they stumbled upon Russian soldiers. There was shooting, and the Chechens killed a few Russians — the rest of the Russians withdrew. The Russians, however, managed to give the village’s coordinates to their artillery, and soon all hell broke loose”

So, it goes like this: Russians, Russians, Russians, Russian soldiers, Russians, Russians, Russians.

Proof? Or is everyone on the side opposed to Kiev “Russian” for the sake of Mamoń’s journalism? The bias (at the least) is palpable; the forceful point in subliminal psychology being driven home is ‘these are Russian soldiers.’ The CIA psy-ops people have to be high-fiving over at Langley. The Intercept just morphed Ukrainians who happen to be ethnic Russian separatists: into Putin’s army in the Donbass region of Ukraine.

Notable neglect in the coverage is; even if his volunteer troops are not expecting to be paid, how does the Chechen commander feed, transport and keep his 500 man battalion provided with ammunition, if his benefactor had dumped his force months previous to this? War is an incredibly expensive business. Villagers handing out cabbage and sausages just won’t get the job done. There has to have been serious alternative financing, and that is skirted with a vague reference to ‘help’ from the ‘Ukrainian people.’

Insofar as the point of the Kiev aligned volunteer battalions, Mamoń’s thesis is, these are a case of ‘the chickens come home to roost’ for Putin. Their ties to Islamic State coupled to the Ukrainian authorities at Kiev not only tolerate them, but somehow must be logistically supporting them, doesn’t really enter the picture. His article imparts a sort of strange rehabilitation worthy of those western Ukrainian fascists who worship Stephan Bandera. A kind of ‘they were justified’ rationale overlooking these are rank criminals and committed terrorists.

At the end of the day, I don’t give a rat’s ass if Marcin Mamoń is on easy terms with Chechen militants & big-shot Islamic State personalities, and neither should Glenn Greenwald be impressed; this Mamoń guy smells BAD and his ‘Eau de Omidyar’ is distinct in the air; if everyone on the Donbass region’s separatist side is Russian, we can just as easily make the case (more accurately) many, many fighters on the Kiev side are Nazi, that is with the exception of certain Chechen fighters, hosted by Kiev, and at least some apparently provided courtesy of the Islamic State.

A Book Review & Intelligence Analysis

My Review

On former Israeli intelligence officer Ari Ben-Menashe’s account of crime & corruption inside the American and Israeli political & intelligence establishments with notes on Robert Parry’s (mis)reporting (non-fiction.) My analysis, projecting where the events documented by Ben-Menashi have since progressed to, in italics (part two, following this review.)

As a metaphor, it could be said this is a book about cannibalism. Restated, this book is a well organized, compelling narrative, of how intelligence agencies, in process of engineering geopolitics, prey on people. It is a honest narrative of several of the most criminal personalities of our era. It is a story of the organized murders, via arms traffickers in the service of greed & ego (disguised as patriotism) of too many people to count. And, it is a story of Ari Ben-Menache’s naïveté.

Relating to the author’s specific biographical narrative, or personal self-criticism, the book is an honest confessional of how it came to pass a young man (Ari) with a certain sense of ethics, had been drawn into a set of circumstance that saw his better judgement compromised as he becomes involved more deeply in the web of geopolitical intrigue. The confessions in this regard are necessary; to underwrite the veracity of the author’s more important revelations. Assessing the psychology of Ben-Menache, one sees a determination to come clean. This aspect convinces, more so than the many detractors of the book’s content and attacks on the author.

As time goes on, among other assignments, Ben-Menache facilitates illegal arms trafficking on a scale that might be scarcely believable to the uninitiated. Considering his narration is by no means a comprehensive account of international armaments dealing, one might stop and reflect on the enormity of a problem; where arms trafficking has become so entrenched & integral to the economics of modern nations, any realistic moves to curtail the industry must meet with a Faustian dilemma of damage to the western democracies economic engines. Ben-Menache does not stray into this negative philosophical territory but the implication is in the wider view of what he writes about, or the sheer volume of the trade. One is reminded it is not only weapons systems but the vast amounts of munitions required to run those systems, are in play.

Within the macrocosm of this suicidal regency of arms trafficking he so eloquently develops, the threads Ben-Menache pursues are both interesting and damning.

One can plainly see Robert Gates had covertly run the criminal enterprise that is the operations division of the CIA for well over the decade covered by Ben-Menache. Following George H.W. Bush & Robert Gates making a deal with Iran’s ayatollahs to keep the 52 embassy hostages, to insure Jimmy Carter’s electoral defeat in 1980 (see a linked American eyewitness account backing up Ben Menache’s eyewitness account of G.H.W. Bush’s presence at the Paris meeting to conclude the deal), Gates effectively took over the agency with Bill Casey’s stroke in 1981. Casey stayed on as director but Gates was the de facto man in charge. After Casey’s death, during the tenure of William Webster as Director of Central Intelligence, Webster was left out of the loop in operations run by Robert Gates. Webster (as Leon Panetta had in more recent times) served as a fig leaf director … with Robert Gates running the show behind the curtain. It’s not a stretch of the imagination to state Robert Gates (with the blessing of his criminally complicit boss, George H.W. Bush) ran the CIA from 1981 through 1992. The criminality of this tenure, as put forward by Ben-Menache, is nothing short of rank, felonious treason. By the end of Ben-Menache’s narrative, at the close of 1991, when the joint American-Israeli Iran-Contra operation had been wrapped up, there were a pair of “slush funds” totaling no less than 1.5 billion U.S. dollars (over 2.5 billion in 2015, adjusted for inflation), derived in large part from skimming profits off Iran-Contra (among other) arms deals. This money was split evenly between CIA & Israeli intelligence. Related to this, CIA & MOSSAD had been closely cooperating in international narcotics trafficking, responsible for vast amounts of cocaine smuggled into the USA to fund illegal adventures in Latin America (Iran-Contra particularly) behind the backs of, and prohibited by, Congress.

Ben-Menache goes on to describe splits and competitions, fratricide within MOSSAD, how LIKUD ran and benefited from the criminal enterprise he was engaged in, how extra-judicial murders are decided on by the Israeli intelligence chiefs, and much more. Of interest in this set of topics is how the Israeli side of the ‘slush fund’ proceeds are disposed of. Israeli prime Minister Yitzhak Shamir’s LIKUD used the monies for several noticeable purposes; not least buying West Bank land for Jewish settlements. This fund also bought votes and silence from American congressmen via bribes laundered through AIPAC. It should be noted here, the fund was never static; the USD $780 million Israeli share (excluding the CIA’s parallel fund) was RESIDUAL at the end of Ben-Menache’s tenure with Israeli intelligence. Many billions appear to have been cycled through the fund over the course of the ten years of his involvement. There is an impressive ability to raise and spend money demonstrated … all beyond the purview of legitimate institutions of accountability and associated rule of law.

In the midst of what can only be accurately described as a journey through a collective criminal insanity, there are lucid moments. Shamir is an interesting character with a special hate for Americans; for the indefensible act of refusing the Jews of Europe an escape to Palestine by rejecting out of hand any dealings with the Nazis on the issue prior to the ‘final solution.’ However this might overlook the rights (and ensuing plight) of the Palestinians in relation to what became the state of Israel, one can understand his point of view. Ben-Menache also caused me to think about Shamir in relation to the West Bank and particularly Jordan, a creation of the British empire. Colonial era borders have wrecked havoc throughout the world and Palestine is no exception. Shamir’s idea, setting aside all arguments of legitimacy & morality in favor of pragmatic geopolitics, it might have worked, was to turn Jordan into a Palestinian state. Jordan is 70% ethnic Palestinian Arab and there is little question Arafat would have gone along with the plan but the USA was adamantly opposed. If Shamir’s plan HAD been brought off, the likely result would have been a second ‘Nabka’ (my opinion) similar to the partition of India and Pakistan and the mass exodus of Muslims resulting in bitter enemies nonetheless but two functioning states, one Muslim & one Jewish. The wild card in this scenario would have been Jerusalem, where no one religion should have ascendancy over another … for the idea to work would require Jerusalem become an independent, secular city-state and that has never been in the cards. But I digress…

Labor aligned Nobel Laureate Shimon Peres demonstrates he is every bit as criminal as anyone in LIKUD, but not nearly as competent, when he tries to muscle in on the Iran-Contra take controlled by LIKUD politicians and their associates running Israeli intelligence. Shut out of the operation and its immense illicit profits, Peres sets out to open a ‘second channel’ to arm Iran; for purely pecuniary purposes. Organized crime integrated to intelligence agencies arms trafficking platform, and associated profits, is how LIKUD props itself up in Israel. Peres wanted a share for Labor. This is where Ben-Menache’s narrative is at odds with mainstream; but in a sensible way if one puts in context the information he develops. It was the 2nd channel Peres had attempted to open and operate, that took the fall for the entire Iran-Contra operation; these were the people hung out to dry. Meanwhile, the original (1st) channel continued to operate as though nothing had happened. When journalist Robert Parry claims for himself at the consortiumnews website…

“Investigative reporter Robert Parry broke many of the Iran-Contra stories for The Associated Press and Newsweek in the 1980s”

…it is a clear stretch of the imagination or worse. It was the 2nd channel had broken open in the press, all the while the 1st channel was never so much as dented. It is notable that Ben-Menache limits credit to Robert Parry’s journalism to two counts solely; verifying the authenticity of a few documents that were helpful at Ben-Menache’s trial (on trumped up charges) and two presentations for Frontline on PBS. A careful read of Ben-Menache’s narrative brings out what was never reported in mainstream, not in Newsweek and not by the Associated Press; the 2nd channel people were hung out to dry by the 1st channel people and the primary Iran-Contra players never missed a step.

A bomb dropped by Ben-Menache is the fact Robert McFarlane, Reagan’s National Security Adviser, was a spy for Israel. This discovery had been swept under the rug by the Americans to protect the administration (and George H.W. Bush’s presidential aspirations) but raises an interesting question; if the Israelis can own the American president’s National Security Adviser, where does the Israeli & AIPAC’s penetration end? An observation: compare McFarlane’s fate (hustled out of his position with a cover story and slap on the wrist) to that of Jonathan Pollard (imprisoned for life.) Pollard is described as the most damaging Israeli spy -ever- by the USA for media spin, what a laugh.

These preceding are only a taste of a work that methodically exposes the metadata of the American-Israeli intelligence relationship. Clearly Ben-Menache could have done by far more damage than he had, but he does provide a very clear outline of two highly politicized intelligence entities with leadership in what amounts to a dysfunctional marriage … at the top of the food chain the Americans and the Israelis intensely hate each other; even as they cooperate while screwing out of habit.

After Ben-Menache had forced Robert Gates’ hand in Paraguay, he was careless and let himself be ‘danced’ into an American sting that had red flags waving from the beginning. Had he become subliminally tired of his role in some of this world’s greatest criminal acts? In any case, it was the best thing that could have happened … he managed to beat the clumsy American entrapment and at the end of the day he’d set out to recover his humanity and managed it:

“I am a humbler man today than I was in the 1970s when I joined Israeli intelligence. I’ve learned the hard way that everyone makes mistakes, some of them so big that they are irrevocable. I’ve also changed my view of Israel and the Jewish people. When I was young, I shared with many Israelis a deep nationalistic feeling — the self-righteous and arrogant belief that we were right and everyone else was wrong, that it was more important for Jews and Israel to survive than others, that we were — as the Bible says — the chosen people. I still believe that Jews are chosen. But no longer can I accept the premise on which the Iranian arms deals were based: ‘Better that their boys die than ours.’ People are people. We are all chosen” -Ari Ben-Menache

My Analysis

When Peres sought to open a competing channel to arm Iran via the Iran-Contra business model, he accomplished little more than provide a screen for the 1st channel; in the event the business was to spill into the open. It is my opinion this is why George H.W. Bush and Robert Gates allowed the 2nd (Peres) channel to set itself up in business. From their point of view, it was a prescient move on account of the difficulty of keeping something as big as this had become, under wraps.

Robert Parry’s journalism notwithstanding, the authentic facts of Iran-Contra were never reported on in mainstream. What had been reported as the most salient facts were essentially a smokescreen. This is reinforced by the fact Newsweek had virulently attacked Ben-Menache’s narrative on publication; not long after presenting Robert Parry’s reporting on Iran-Contra as fact. These are irreconcilable phenomena except in the case of Ben-Menache’s considerably expanded account, undermining the limited picture spoon fed to the public by the press, is correct. The Iran-Contra ‘cover’ story had to be protected, investigations were ongoing and the CIA had engineered damage control. North and Poindexter et al, as complicit and stupid as they were, were nonetheless patsies. Robert Parry’s reporting over the ensuing years reinforces the idea his role, all along, has been that of a disinformation asset, whether willing or unwitting, for the CIA. Parry has moved on to pervert American constitutional history in contradiction of (one could say smearing) the anti-federalists intentions relating to checks on a central government, he puts a lot of energy into being an apologist for the inexcusable Obama and, not least, Parry denies the incontrovertible fact the official 9/11 report white-washed the actual circumstance of the collapse of WTC 7 on the afternoon of 11 September, 2001.

Recalling Robert McFarlane, Ronald Reagan’s National Security Adviser, had been working for Israeli intelligence, there is practically no position in American government cannot be construed to be at risk of penetration and compromise via MOSSAD & AIPAC. How this might play in the events of 9/11 is open to conjecture; Ariel Sharon, the Israeli prime minister on 9/11, was a man possessed of the necessary character to murder three thousand people in a gambit to get the USA to fight Israel’s wars, this much is clear. Whether MOSSAD had co-opted enough key people in the USA security apparatus to bring it off, is not. At odds with the Israelis’ initiating the attacks is the fact of Dick Cheney ordering the New York area air defense shut down for the morning of 11 September, while a ‘coincidental’ exercise was to be run simulating a ‘terrorist attack’ with jet liners crashing into New York sky-scrapers. Could Cheney’s team all have been Israeli assets? It seems unlikely. On the other hand, it is classic Israeli style to use their enemies, wherever possible, to take care of their most dirty work. And America is LIKUD’s enemy in a cold political calculation. A fifth possibility is the Bush criminal syndicate responsible for 9/11, taking care to frame the Israelis in case the operation were to unravel. In any of these hypothesis, Rudy Guiliani (Trump’s private lawyer) having located his disaster headquarters in WTC Building 7, is key.

What’s almost certain is, Al-Qaida was a minor actor, a dupe and cover story, and was not primarily responsible for 9/11. Insofar as responsibility & accountability, there is none. These agencies or actors, with the likely exception of al-Qaida, would have access to tactical nuclear weapons or ‘suitcase nukes’ for purpose of false-flag terrorism, were it to come to the likes of a Bibi Netanyahu, or Bush family & Robert Gates’ associated Iran-Contra minions determination to up the ante as opposed to face accountability (noting Iran-Contra personalities have their fingerprints all over the USA security apparatus during the Bush Jr administration, 9/11 and coverup, recalling Iran-Contra was a joint MOSSAD-CIA operation.)

Merkel, Piggies & the 2nd Minsk Peace Accord

Noting the Germans claim they have no obligation whatsoever to make right having bled Greece dry during WW II … and noting the Germans are insisting on bleeding Greece dry in the present with inflexible demands of ‘privitization’ and ‘austerity’, it’s not difficult to see Angela Merkel, Wolfgang Schäuble, Thomas de Maizière & friends haven’t shed Germany’s Nazi spots; particularly when considering Ukraine.

Firstly, Germany has been hand in glove with the USA in ‘civil society’ projects (read subverting to western interests) in Ukraine, exhibit one:

In fact it was the Merkel Christian Democratic Union (CDU) aligned Konrad Adenauer Foundation had liaised with Ukraine’s Nazi Svoboda party and in fact groomed Svoboda party members at Adenauer foundation ‘democracy’ projects:

This, despite the German government’s official position of condemning the German Nazi party, the NPD, a party the Ukrainian Svoboda party has a known relationship with. So, what’s wrong with this picture? Adopting a position ‘actions speak louder than words’, we can look at a short history of Merkel’s ‘peace efforts’ relating to Ukraine.

The thumbnail sketch is, each time Germany has backed a proposal for peace in Ukraine, Merkel has rolled over when the USA spurred Kiev to sabotage it. Very early on, John Kerry had ‘lip serviced’ (sort of like a blow-job) an European peace proposal and Kiev had stopped shooting but that was because they were too stupid to understand the game yet and they quickly reversed themselves when an American visited and explained what geopolitical theater is all about. A case of ‘this is to make Russia look bad when it fails, so whatever you do, don’t stop provocations that draw separatist ire.’ Whether it was Joe Biden or John Brennan or some other American political prostitute, most recently John Kerry in Kiev as Merkel visited Putin in Moscow together with Hollande, the American message delivered to the Nazis in Kiev has been consistently proven to be one of ‘keep the provocations up and we’ll have your back.’

Here is how it plays with Merkel. She gets on board with with every European peace endeavor but then takes advantage of its intended failure. After endorsing a Russian-French transition plan for Ukraine that was immediately foiled with the American backed putsch, Angela Merkel promptly fell into line with the Americans and the result was ultimately responsible for Crimea reunifying with Russia. Did Merkel demonize the Americans for this backstabbing? No. She demonized Putin. Following this, when Poroshenko did not deliver on the autonomy for the east of Ukraine promised at Minsk I, rather instead declaring the autonomy provision invalid, insuring the rebellion would continue, did Merkel pressure Poroshenko? No. She upped the pressure on Putin instead, while toeing the American propaganda line. As well, Merkel has been leader of the European Union sanctions intended to punish Russia with damage to its economy.

Now, Merkel had exited a meeting at the White House, prior to traveling to Moscow and then to Minsk II, with a telling message; ‘friends can have differences of opinion’ or that is to say Germany is not going to put up a fuss over the Americans delivering lethal weapons to Ukraine and John Kerry immediately heads out to Kiev as Merkel heads to Moscow.

Here’s what’s up; Each ceasefire has saved Kiev’s butt from a determined rebel force that is by far better motivated and seen superior tactical success. Each ceasefire has seen the beaten Ukrainian army rearm, resupply and regroup for a new offensive. Each ceasefire has seen consistent shelling of civilian areas held by the rebels, a deliberate provocation, drawing reactions from rebel forces determined to knock out or push back Kiev’s offenders. Each ceasefire has seen a consequent propaganda blitz by the western democracies accusing Russia and the rebels of sabotaging any progress towards peace. All of this treachery by Kiev has clearly been encouraged behind the scene by the USA, in an ongoing, undeclared, proxy war imposed on Russia. Angela Merkel not only goes along with this, she is complicit. Germany has, all along, baited Putin along with the Americans. And this man knows the story very well:

Gerhard Schindler, Germany’s top spymaster, who answers directly to Angela Merkel, presented what has to be called a falsified report, on the downing of MH 17 in secret session with the German parliament, presenting evidence that has never been made public (certainly because it would not stand up to expert scrutiny.) Here is the better MH 17 assessment. Previous to this, Schindler presented what was almost certainly a false report on the Assad regime’s use of sarin gas in Damascus, claiming the rebels did not possess the technical ability to deliver the chemical weapon but that had already been disputed by UN investigator Carla Del Ponte in an earlier case. The BND led by Schindler has a long litany of criminals and crimes for legacy, not least complicity in, and covering up, Operation Gladio. The BND was created by the CIA, staffed with ex-Gestapo and other former Nazis, put under the charge of Hitler’s expert Soviet spymaster, war criminal Reinhard Gehlen, and then handed over to Konrad Adenauer as West Germany’s foreign intelligence service. This is a nasty, Nazi legacy infected, organization. And so is the Adenauer Foundation and it’s parent Christian Democratic Union. These are Merkel’s clandestine bayonets operating in Ukraine.

Here’s my prediction for Minsk II .. more of the same, Poroshenko’s Nazis will have taken John Kerry’s off the record advice to heart, the new ceasefire and peace agreement will be sabotaged with full German complicity, even as Merkel makes a show of geopolitical ‘restraint’ for domestic political consumption, again buying time to rearm and train Kiev’s forces. Meanwhile there will be ongoing provocations by Kiev to undermine the process in its entirety. Germany will fall into line with the USA, pointing the finger at the Russians as the responsible party and sooner or later, the entire business will again be a hot and more intensified conflict. This has been the working model, in consecutive iterations, why would anyone expect to see anything change?

Point one per ‘people too stupid to understand they’re stupid’ … It probably never occurred to the anonymous moron; his ‘nom de guerre’ gave away his perfectly reasonable seeming invitation came from someone that’s probably an anti-Semite, likely with a fixed, holocaust denial agenda. I make it a habit not to associate with, or expend energy debating, social idiots. Now, it is certainly the case it was this language from my blog had drawn his attention and had been proposed for a so-called debate:

There is no debate insofar as I’m concerned and clearly I’ve stated as much with jettisoning the ‘numbers’ argument. Does the question of race have something to do with this missing aspect of ‘never again’ mass murders on immense scale? Is it because the murdered Ashkenazi were White, and this event happened in ‘civilized’ Europe, they have ‘never again’ commemoration; but because the people of the Congo are Black, there is no strident or pressing need to acknowledge what is taking place elsewhere, even as I write this?

And let’s not forget Rwanda & the church at Rome, as well as deaths due to invasion related infrastructure destruction in Iraq (fairly estimated to be at least one million), and the end toll we cannot yet project in Syria due to efforts to overthrow Assad (the western democracies have murdered more Syrians, by far, than Assad left to his devices, ever would have), to name just a few of the more recent or ongoing events which are glossed over and denied the graphic terms with which they deserve to be treated.

At the end of the day, Netanyahu, Merkel, Hollande, Cameron, and their several peers, all, are holocaust deniers (as well, profound hypocrites.)
