Uncle Sam: Dominionist Puppet?
Fundamentalist Christians are pulling out all stops to make this a reality

‘Tis the season when goodwill, family unity, fireside warmth, and generosity seemingly reign; the more discerning eye, however, clearly evinces the cold chill of holiday hypocrisy, crass commercialism, and spiritually vacant pseudo-religious posturing. Within the United States Armed Forces, one needn’t wait for the scent of holiday spices and burning yule logs to witness a similarly ugly display.

All year ‘round throughout the U.S. military, we hear of “good order, morale, and discipline” being the ultimate mandate of the day. The sad truth, however, is that instead of the rule of Constitutional law applying equitably across the ranks, we instead see the brutal rule of the jungle – “honor among thieves” – rife with state-sanctioned, fundamentalist Christian proselytizing, corruption, wretchedly obvious glad-handing, and an absolute dearth of accountability. The repercussions for our brave war-fighters and, consequently, the essence of American national security itself, are extraordinarily grave.

Case in point: my alma mater and the alma mater of 4 of my kids, the scandal-drenched United States Air Force Academy (USAFA) in Colorado Springs, CO. Out of our 35,383 clients across the U.S. military (96% of whom are practicing Christians), the Military Religious Freedom Foundation (MRFF) currently represents 435 cadet, staff, and faculty clients at USAFA alone. Of that number, 372 are practicing Protestants and Roman Catholics. Further, 27 of these clients identify as lesbian, gay, or bisexual (LGB).

Despite pathetically disingenuous damage control efforts by newly-minted Superintendent Lt. Gen. Michelle Johnson, the Academy simply can’t shrug off the pungent stench of Keystone Kops negligence and willful malfeasance which it has ignominiously accumulated over its last deplorable decade of serial scandals. Clearly, the Air Force’s Office of Special Investigations (OSI) agrees. The arresting news broke only a few days ago that the OSI allegedly “recruited” (read: strong-armed) multiple Academy cadet informants into forced participation in “FBI-style” sting operations to allegedly infiltrate those suspected of sexual assault and drug distributors among the ranks of Academy personnel. It is alleged by at least one former cadet, since expelled from USAFA, that the OSI instructed and even encouraged cadet informants to break laws, as well as the venerated Cadet Honor Code, to buttress the likelihood of the accomplishment of their informant “missions”. They were further apparently promised by the OSI, it is alleged, that there would be no negative consequences for doing so. Suffice it to say that such “promises” by the OSI appear to be a load of crap. Minority cadets appear to have been disproportionately targeted by the OSI both as targets and informants. Having personally witnessed and experienced, as an Academy cadet, utterly outrageous acts of unconstitutional depravity that shocked the conscience from this very same OSI, I cannot say I am even remotely surprised. Stay Tuned.

These disgraceful revelations burst upon the scene contemporaneously with USAFA’s senior leadership’s absurd attempts to paint “happy faces” on their windows in order to obscure a blatantly intolerant and dreadfully oppressive anti-gay atmosphere at the Academy. Last month, the world learned that the Academy is employing Dr. Mike Rosebush, an Academy grad and allegedly “ex-gay” fundamentalist Christian whose entire professional career has been geared toward “curing homosexuality,” fighting “unwanted same-sex attractions” among Christian men “acting upon their homoerotic temptations.” Homophobia, thy name be USAFA.

Rosebush’s position at USAFA? Well, according to the Air Force’s own Global Address List, Rosebush is “Chief, Coaching Development” at the Academy’s much vaunted and revered “Center for Character and Leadership Development.” Meaning that Rosebush’s “work” – and the mind clearly boggles here – sets the standard for what constitutes leaders within the Air Force Academy, specifically, and the United States Air Force, generally.

USAFA attempted to ridiculously counter this shocking news about Rosebush by essentially exhorting the public not to fear the possibility of any harm here. The Academy vociferously vouchsafed that Rosebush was absolutely NOT having ANY impact upon the “character and leadership development” of any cadets whatsoever. Indeed, perish the thought. And who could argue? After all, Rosebush is a senior official at the Academy’s “Center for Character and Leadership Development.” Thus, it would be simply ludicrous and counter intuitive in the extremis to presume that he would have ANY effect on the “character and leadership development” of Academy cadets, right? Um, wait? Hey, I told you the mind boggles.

USAFA’s public (mis)information office sprang into full gear, parading openly LGBQ cadets before the microphones and cameras in a carefully stage-managed “Potemkin Village” production meant to create the utopian illusion of the Air Force Academy’s pristine inclusion and sexual preference diversity. A MRFF cadet client at USAFA (whose identity is being kept confidential for justified fear of reprisal) publicly condemned these “self-serving” claims of providing a welcoming atmosphere for LGBQ cadets, staff, and faculty as a “crock” and a brutal affront to the human dignity of LGBQ personnel at USAFA. This Academy-staged spectacle of shame reminded me of the horrific tragedy of the infamous “orchestra” made up of concentration camp victims at Auschwitz.

Many of the worst marks of disgrace on the collective body of the Academy are the self-inflicted result of its Constitutionally derelict leaders violating the religious liberties of cadets, faculty, and staff. This affliction of the most basic civil rights of Air Force Academy personnel is wrought by means of aggressive fundamentalist Christian preaching and proselytizing while in uniform – a wholesale violation of the very same United States Constitution which these leaders have sworn to support and defend with their very lives.

Indeed, earlier this semester, 7 Academy cadets came to MRFF for guidance and assistance as new clients begging for help when their USAFA professor wrote the following “equation” on the blackboard whilst concomitantly declaring to his/her class that this mathematical formula was the “only one you will need to pass this class”; to wit, “1 Cross plus 3 Nails Equals 4given”. This professor is an Academy grad him/herself, is on active duty and was in uniform at the time. Yes, we have a picture of the blackboard “equation”. But our cadet clients are terrified to come forward. And they should be. A loving father of one of these cadets wrote me an e-mail explaining exactly why.

And, just last month, in my capacity as Founder and President of MRFF, I received a “hate” email that addressed the litanies of egregious, fundamentalist Christian supremacy religious violations that have earned weapons-grade infamy for the Academy. The email read, in part: “God will always be a part of the US Military even when you are gone to meet him face to face… I am on staff at USAFA and will talk about Jesus Christ my Lord and savior to everyone that I work with.”

Who wrote this wonderful email? None other than Allen Willoughby, head athletic trainer and assistant athletic director at USAFA’s prep school. Predictably, USAFA issued a statement universally defending and exonerating Willoughby, stating that the hate mail was sent “in his personal capacity,” and that “no action is being taken against the individual.” Of course, in today’s military, “good leaders” cover up for one another, right? George Marshall spins in his grave. Hmm? I wonder what USAFA “leadership” would have done had Willoughby stated, instead, that he would “talk about male superiority over females and the virtues of sexual assault to everyone that I work with?”

Speaking of stinking, sexist misogyny and command-directed female exploitation, further south in Texas, a prostitution ring was discovered at Fort Hood. And who was the pimp? None other than Sgt. 1st Class Gregory McQueen, a man employed by the U.S. military’s sexual assault and harassment program who is said to have “tried to recruit [a young private] to have sex with high-ranking soldiers and sexually assaulted her during what she termed an ‘interview.’” All signs so far indicate that this is merely the tip of an iceberg that lies extant across the military.

Meanwhile, our civil rights foundation perpetually receives a sadly steady torrent of anguished testimonials from myriad sailors, soldiers, marines, airmen, cadets, midshipmen, national guardsmen, reservists and veterans regarding their own profound suffering at the hands of corrupt-to-the-bone so-called “leaders.” These plaintive pleas for help have included forced attendance at military Holiday Balls with clear, Christian sectarian religious themes, the coerced swearing of religious oaths, mandatory “spiritual fitness” testing and a veritable plethora of other “spiritual rape” grievances large and small across the entirety of the United States armed forces home and abroad. Taken as a whole, this sea of unconstitutional oppression represents a vast, systemic and chronic internal war of attrition against the good order, morale, and discipline which is supposed to comprise the sterling sine qua non of the foundational essence of what our American military represents and fights for.

As the old Russian proverb goes, “a fish rots from the head down.” The U.S. Military is the most technologically sophisticated and lethal organization ever devised by humankind, yet it often finds itself helplessly inert due to its own byzantine bureaucracy and those who resort to any and all means to jealously and zealously guard their personal privileges and those of their partners-in-crime. We at MRFF see the endless grievances of painful denigration and bigotry experienced by MRFF’s armed forces clientele who are, in fact, our nation’s bravest war fighters across the spectrum of the 4 DoD service branches. This despicable religious/fascistic tyranny incontrovertibly illustrates that the careless and bullying use of martial hierarchy and misapplied physical force are a clear and present national security danger to the health and well-being of both military individuals and their respective organizations alike.

Presently, a new tactic is being employed and deployed by this twisted Christian version of the Taliban. We are seeing a cowardly swarm of smarmy, fundamentalist Christian organizations such as the Family Research Council, American Family Association, Focus on the Family, and Officers’ Christian Fellowship, endlessly whining and screaming that it is now THEY who are the “real” victims of “Obama’s anti-Christian Defense Department.” Those among the Pentagon’s top brass and civilian legislatures who take these fraudulent, contrived and mendacious affirmations of victimhood seriously would do well to consider the real “Clear and Present Danger” to good order, morale, and discipline in America’s mighty military:

It’s the hypocrisy, stupid.

Lying was not a common phenomena in the ancient Native American world. Likely this stems from the fact a high value was placed on interpretation of reality as accurately, factually as possible. Not only would this factual perception of reality through reliable reporting lend itself to survival in an existence fraught with danger, it would lead to a tendency to develop a high state of personal evolution.

There is a story of occasion where the Salish had captured a Blackfoot warrior, I do not recall his name, and tied him to a post at the center of their camp. The community then had gathered to witness his death by torture. The point of the torture was to see if this warrior could be made to cry, as he was slowly cut to bits. If this could be accomplished, it could then be reported back to the Blackfeet people how their warrior was weak when faced with death. It would never occur to the Salish to send a false report of the man’s behavior when meeting his end.

As it happened, this warrior fully being cognizant of the purpose of his death ritual, devised a strategy to circumvent the intended outcome. When the Salish man with first right to begin slicing him with a knife had approached and proceeded to cut and taunt the Blackfoot, the Blackfoot had kept his cool and returned insults as to be so vile, the Salish lost his temper and swiftly killed the Blackfoot in a rage. And this fact of circumstance of death is what was reported to the Blackfeet people.

The arrival of the Jesuits changed all this. If the destruction of the Buffalo had destroyed the Blackfoot nation physically, it was the Jesuits broke the spiritual back of the community. The Jesuits destroyed the lived truth of these people, destroyed the equilibrium between the sexes, destroyed the respect they had enjoyed in relation to each other as a whole and destroyed their spiritual relationship with nearly everything under the Sun. Here is how it happened:

It was inconceivable to the Indians a lie would be told by holy people. As Floyd HeavyRunner had precisely, correctly stated, this phenomena was exploited by the Jesuits, when using the Blackfeet women to make their inroad into the spiritual life of the community. It was the tempting (and subversive) idea if the Blackfeet community would embrace the Jesuit philosophy of only ONE man had to die, to correct everything in the afterlife, these women would be reunited with the many fine men they had lost to the extreme peril of historical Blackfoot existence, an existence that claimed a disproportionate number of men. The woman allowed the Jesuit Nicolas Point (sent among the Blackfeet by ‘Father’ DeSmet) to arrange the education of a number of children and in a single year’s time, with children taught Original Sin caused all of our world’s ills and this is the fault of WOMAN who is cursed, and that because ONE man died, you may be excused from taking responsibility for your own actions in this life, the damage was done. By the time these woman realized a great mistake had been made, it was too late. If these children had been killed outright per the native philosophy of eliminating any ugly life aberration, the Blackfeet would have been better off per their own cultural view, but the law of Blackfeet citizenship these new aberrations violated, in a paradox, prevented this. Nor would the consequence of not killing these children be seen immediately, it had to wait for them to grow up and see the infection mature.

The result had been, in a single generation, fratricide, it came to this; certain men had begun abusing women and became rapists, nearly unknown social phenomena in previous times. Subsequently, the worst of these among the Pikuni became exiles, they were pushed out and formed a distinct breakaway tribal entity. This in turn saw the group’s Pikuni men experience their women turning on them and become killers of their husbands, when the Blackfoot women’s warrior tradition in egalitarianism became socially inverted (these Blackfeet families know who they are, it’s not important to identify them by name here.)

This preceding is but early example of what occurred on a society-wide scale, with the badly damaged larger Blackfoot nation forced onto reservations and the subsequent kidnapping of entire generations of children into missions for education. Life became a lie and the law of Niitsitapi as had been known and practiced for countless generations, had become largely dead.

It was the great priest of Okan, Brings Down the Sun, made it his life mission to correct these mistakes in the Pikuni people. Recognizing the new Christian way could not be rolled back, one compromise he tried to make was to advise women to begin to submit to their husbands, but this was not easily swallowed by the women. What finally happened was, a compromise of Okan and other Blackfoot practices pursued distinctly and altogether separately from the Christianity forced onto these people, one might belong to both but they were carefully separated, never mixed. But these were never again Indian people in any sense close to what had been, lying and abuse of women has become a way of life in the case of by far too many Indians to count. And since the forced mission education days, the added curse of inter-generational pedophilia has gained a foothold as well. Of course the Jesuits will NEVER take responsibility for having wreaked this havoc, they can always arrange to be ‘forgiven’

All that said, my experience has been, because of the unique traditions which had survived in small pockets, I discovered some of the finest, most brave, generous, kind and ethical people in this world, whilst living among the modern Blackfeet.

CIA versus JFK: Fifty Years After

All kinds of new publications are hitting the shelves to mark the 50th anniversary of the JFK hit. The most telling (revealing) of these has been a newspaper story in Mexico’s ‘La Journada.‘ One thing you can count on is, USA mainstream news will not pick this story up. Why? It is as simple as the USA’s media has been co-opted by a fusion of corporate boardrooms and intelligence agency personalities.

What La Journada has broken the story on, and the excellent intelligence blog ‘UNREDACTED’ has provided the English original, had been a well kept secret for fifty years; the fact our CIA had been vehemently opposed to a secret initiative pushed into play (over CIA objections) by President Kennedy, to make peace with Fidel Castro and normalize relations with Cuba. This was the last major initiative of Kennedy’s presidency, unknown to now.

The ‘silver oxide’ (as opposed to ‘silver lining’) in this story is, it ties together known facts of the past and provides motive enough to point out it WAS INDEED corporate boards, with United Fruit and Zapata Oil particularly complicit (these days known as Chiquita Brands & Harbinger Group respectively) in their incestuous fusion with heavily invested CIA personalities. Open source intelligence analysis clearly points to these parties behind the CIA invested corporate ‘Deep State‘ murder of JFK.

What do you suppose this has to do with CIA not even beginning to process 50,000 pages of JFK documents which must be released by 2017 according to act of Congress passed in the 1990s?

The CIA resistance to declassify keeps the JFK killing in the realm of ‘conspiracy’ theorists. My own position is, when the paper trail (Warren Commission) doesn’t match the facts on the ground, follow the facts on the ground. Jesse Ventura is a showman but he is not stupid. He has convincingly demonstrated with live fire the piece of junk Carcano (Mannlicher) model of rifle purportedly used by Oswald to shoot Kennedy could not have performed to expectations in the hands of the most expert shooters, and Oswald was not close to expert. One of the many holes in the official record.

Aside from corporate boards, who jumps out as individual personalities in the murder of JFK? Heavily invested individuals (to the tune of millions) would be recent Director of CIA (at time of JFK assassination) Allen Dulles (United Fruit boardroom) and rising CIA star (and future CIA director) George H.W. Bush (Zapata Oil founder.) Suddenly longtime CIA operative E. Howard Hunt’s confession to involvement in the JFK hit, gains a lot more than mere credulity. Having the just dismissed CIA Director Allan Dulles sitting on the Warren Commission (cover-up) would be about equivalent to asking United Fruit to adjudicate the overthrow of the Arbenz government by the CIA on behalf of United Fruit:

“It will be impossible to produce evidence clearly tying the Guatemalan government to Moscow, but the United States might act anyway, based on our deep conviction that such a tie must exist” -Allen Dulles

Meanwhile, those corporations benefiting from the ‘rapacious side’ of capitalism, have been able, in the fifty years since, to point to the (CIA created) Castro ‘boogeyman’ as rationale for American military interventions keeping Chiquita in the business of taking bananas throughout Latin America at gunpoint, as Castro had been pushed into a corner and further radicalized. So, need union sympathetic personalities eliminated for the sake of profit’s bottom line? No problem, simply provide cash and machine guns to designated terror groups as Chiquita ‘security’ personnel. Need to keep this all swept under the rug and out of the public eye? Simply buy in Chiquita lawyer Eric Holder as Obama’s Attorney General (he damn sure won’t reopen an investigation in the JFK murder) as boardroom efforts go on to keep Chiquita crimes concealed.

And we know how ‘junior’s’ subsequent Bush/Cheney oil partnership has fared around the world, the profits in billions have been quite tidy.

Allan Dulles, George H.W. Bush and ‘friends’ must’ve laughed all the way to the bank with their newly minted Kennedy ‘half dollar’ coins.

John Moor Cabot, Assistant Secretary of State for Inter-American affairs was major shareholder in United Fruit.

Thomas Dudley Cabot, Director of International Security Affairs in the State Department, had been United Fruit president.

John J. McCloy, president of the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development, was a former United Fruit board member.

Presidential ‘National Security Adviser(s)’ with corporate umbrella & intelligence ties, all who have contributed to, or benefited from profits over peace, from JFK assassination to present. Each of these individuals has played ‘God’ in the pursuit of western corporate colonialism, and had a direct hand in the literal murder of peoples legitimate aspirations for national sovereignty with policy making for the president. The November 2013 (#121) issue of EXBERLINER is devoted in the main to the plight and status of Germany’s (and Berlin’s particularly) refugees from various conflicts. The several stories vary considerably, some more compelling than others. A positive aspect is what appears to be a largely neutral attempt to allow the stories to ‘speak’ for themselves or perhaps better said, the authors (some more, some less) come across as setting aside personal bias as much as possible and actually reporting as opposed to promoting a particular point of view. Of course, as laudable as this may be, it is actually an impossibility on account of innate cultural bias shaping the several ‘lens’ through which the accounts are filtered. However this phenomena or bias in some cases of the reporting in this issue appears to be lessened to a considerable degree (compared to ‘mainstream’), likely because of the cultural diversity of the EXBERLINER staff writers. Is there areas these articles can be improved on? Oh yes, maintains this dubiously gifted expert in the field of social psychology as relates to intelligence. Accordingly, I will give greater attention to constructive criticism of the main articles as opposed to picking on EXBERLINER’s political commentator (expert moron) Werner, whose column has degenerated from impressively ill-informed (last month’s issue) to merely ‘cute’ (this month’s issue.) Hang in there Werner, I’m certain you will inspire a world class satire before all is said and done!!

Luigi Serenelli’s article on the plight of Chechen refugees in Germany ‘No Shelter Here’ is well written, wherein the circumstance and plight of people’s lives in limbo is addressed coherently. There are two weaknesses in this article, primarily. The commendable, sustained efforts of the poet Ekkehard Maass to alleviate the Chechen refugees bureaucratic nightmares having to do with the rules-bound German agencies are damaged with ‘name dropping’ past association with Alan Ginsberg. One not need be a homophobe to be turned off by mention of this degenerate-braggart who had done more to create anti-gay backlash in the USA than any individual in history. Without a balanced view and understanding of Ginsberg, one cannot know how many moderates and conservatives who are otherwise tolerant, even supportive of the rights of gays, can be driven away from any cause integrating this man’s name. Not a prescient or helpful move on behalf of the issue at hand. Should human compassion be the sole province of liberals? If not, keep the ‘hot buttons’ out, to draw in wider support for the individuals trapped in the fallout of our present day world’s traumas. To aspire otherwise is to cheat social justice.

Moving on to point 2 of my criticisms per Luigi’s article, I will introduce the greater thrust or my pointing to an overall failure of this month’s magazine theme: a lack of macro-cosmic vision.

Luigi’s “Economic instability in the North Caucus region and the state of corruption, persecution and terror under Vladimir Putin’s Chechen strongman, President Razman Kadyrov, account for part of the [refugee] influx” falls short.

What is missing is the larger context of how it is Putin (and Russia prior to Putin) had been pushed into the corner of cracking down HARD on Chechnya. Message to Luigi: research what today’s Federal Bureau of Investigation (USA’s FBI) has classified as ‘Gladio B’ where ‘deep state’ elements of NATO have funded, trained and unleashed Islamic terror in Central Asia generally and the North Caucus particularly. The purpose of ‘Gladio B’ is wresting control away from the rule of law so that western energy companies can exploit Central Asia to further the interests of ‘empire‘ over what Zibignew Breszenski has aptly called ‘the grand chessboard.‘ Without this underlying criminal push by some of the most powerful sociopaths in the world, likely there would be no Chechen ‘refugee problem.’ I’ll make your homework easy for you Luigi; it is as simple as going to Corbett Report.

Luigi Serenelli’s article get three stars of a possible five.

Anna Kirikova’s “From Grozny to Alexanderplatz” chronicles the misadventures of a Chechen couple, Adam and Farisa. To her credit, Anna allows Adam to make a total chauvinist fool of himself, a man who puts down his woman as though it were the sacred, sworn duty of a man to seriously come across as an misogynist idiot.

“To tell you the truth” says Adam “I wanted to marry another woman from the village but she married another man and I had to take her” (Farisa.) Adam goes on to generally convince men are stupid as a gender specific species, making excuses for having about as poor a judgement and related dedication to his family in difficult circumstance as one could possibly imagine. Adam admits he harbored radical Islamists “They had come to the village and were asking for food. How could you not help?”

Easy answer. Don’t answer the door. If they break it down, meet them with an axe (if you don’t have a gun.) So Adam and Farisa are ‘interrogated’ by Putin’s strongman’s minions and flee Chechnya. Adam states he would rather ‘hang himself’ than be deported to where he might have to answer for his associations and attending stupidities. It occurs to this writer Adam could do his family a favor and do just that (hang himself.) If they do get asylum, maybe Farisa will wise up and dump this guy who openly insults her as though this were a perfectly normal behavior but in actuality is the behavior of a coward who needs a woman to look down at and kick. Or better yet, Adam gets deported and Farisa is allowed to stay, sending a message to cowardly men who ride the petticoats of women to safety (they fled to Germany on Farisa’s parents money.)

Message to Anna .. maybe Farisa’s “sad, cast-down eyes” has less to do with her plight as a refugee and more to do with the moron she has saddled herself with…

Anna Kirikova gets four of five possible stars, four stars for letting Adam freely come across as a chauvinist coward, one star deducted for coming up short on Adam as a total loser you’d want to question the wisdom of granting asylum to in any case-

FROM RUSSIA WITH [GAY] LOVE is Luke Atcheson’s contribution to EXBERLINER Issue 121. The article is short, shallow and gives precisely zero real insight on how it is gays (male gays particularly) can often be the cause of their own persecution. In Berlin, there is a nearly wide-open ‘blow-job-butt-fuck’ scene in the public spaces, and if this were cracked down on, I’d approve heartily. Why? Because I am from another culture altogether to western culture, I don’t feel compelled to project the ‘manly’ vibe of the western culture’s so-called ‘straight’ males. Somehow this totally confuses the ‘gay-dar’ (read gay radar) of the many queer rabbits frolicking in Berlin’s green spaces that have hit on me in public too many times to count. Luke apparently cannot possibly consider offensive behaviors bring down persecutions on gays. So while Luke throws stones at Putin, while we’re at it, let’s point out the narcissistic gay mayor of Berlin has a reputation with Berlin’s small artists for having shut off money except to the big-time gay artists that are his ‘connections’ (related, how’s that airport ‘work of art’ coming along?) Klaus Wowereit’s ‘I am gay and it is a good thing’ misses the mark.

Good people, gay or straight, do ‘the right thing’ which has nothing to do with shameless lack of accountability for Berlin’s failed airport, selling out the small artists, selling Berlin to the highest bidder and in the course of this, pushing out long established communities with skyrocketing rents, and the wide open blow-job scene allowed to go on in Berlin’s public spaces, behaviors which cause attitudes that can (and sooner or later likely will) lead to laws that ‘persecute’ gays (and is phenomena all gays, including lesbians, will suffer for.)

And doing the ‘right thing’ has nothing to do with a gay German foreign minister (Westerwelle) that has backed exporting tanks to Indonesia and Saudi Arabia where gays suffer dramatically. Perhaps it is easier throwing stones at people behind persecuting gays abroad… but let’s not dare look at any truth close to home!!

Luke’s assigned homework: Read ‘Queer Chicken Dinner’ on how narcissism coupled to homosexuality leads to as dishonest a lifestyle as any lifestyle out there. Gays do not have a lock on some right to go un-persecuted when it comes to flaunting responsible norms of behavior (so don’t hide behind the being gay thing, it doesn’t work except in cloistered communities, i.e. where people live withdrawn from reality.)

Luke gets a FAIL (zero stars)

John Riceberg’s “At sea on O-paltz” tells the travail of a Nigerian refugee whose only route out of a Libya in turmoil was Tripoli to Italy (and eventually to Germany.) The article is shallow and short, a two star deduction. Per the overall magazine theme in EXBERLINER Issue 121, there is a lack of holding western democracies accountable for creating the refugee problems they are now faced with. Some might point to Germany’s ‘reluctance’ to become involved in Libya but this excuse can never wash, the Germans remain firmly wedded to NATO aggressiveness and put on no real pressure to dial it back. This article scores three of a possible five stars (and just wait until I rip into Riceberg’s other offering, a second article that misses the point so far as to come across as BS to the core.)

“A song for Syria” by Kathryn Werntz is the first of two chronicles of male bards who ‘sing’ the refugee tragedy away. We’ll compare these male bards a bit later to a woman who worked herself to pneumonia and ended in hospital from helping refugees hands on. Sort of like it is the women more likely to pick up a dog’s shit, where a European male will leave it on the street if he thinks no one is watching.

So Kathryn writes about Milo who is here on a student visa and is very angry about the plight of his country and the circumstance of Syria’s refugees. But Milo cannot seem to find his people to help out hands on, only time to sing away Syria’s woes and fret over whether he will have to, sooner or later, face becoming a refugee himself or fly home to serve in the military he got a student visa to evade in the first place. Huh.

The weakness in this article is to miss the macro-cosmic vision of the fact Germany accepting 5,000 Syrian refugees in no practical way addresses the circumstance of over one million externally displaced Syrians (5,000 is somewhere in the range of less than .005% of the externally displaced and does not touch the internally displaced) by endeavor of powers Germany is aligned with. Part of the solution or part of the problem? Honest journalism would not hesitate to point out it is the intelligence services of the NATO aligned western democracies has created the greater refugee problem and the German ‘acceptance’ of 5,000 displaced Syrians is nothing more than window dressing on a world class crime in which Germany is complicit. Again this is consistent with EXBERLINER Issue 121 either missing the point or skipping the underlying cause of the problem.

Kathryn allows Milo to come across as a man without honest conviction & real loser he is, earning four of five stars.

“The real asylum scandal” by John Riceberg (I promised this well deserved rip) is a study in journalistic cowardice. The premise of the article is placing some refugees in proximity to neo-Nazis is a phony argument for insensitivity when compared to political inertia to provide competent help. FAIL. Rather why not examine the authentic Nazi legacy behind the so-called ‘political inertia.’

If Riceberg had what the Latinos call ‘cojones’ (are you listening Konrad Werner?) he’d have written about what anyone dedicated to searching the Der Spiegel English archives could piece together; the fact of the CSU harboring a very alive and robust Nazi legacy that could care less about the plight of ordinary Syrians or anyone else other than WHITE Germans.

Fat German industrialists smoking cigars in boardrooms while praising Hitler persecuting homosexuals, un-repatriated art looted by the Nazis decorating German government owned guest houses and other buildings with little or no attempt to find the rightful owners, prosecution of a few lowly Nazi concentration camp guards 70 years after the fact (meanwhile war criminals had not only been allowed to live out their days in peace, un-prosecuted, they were allowed quietly back into the Bundes-Republik government, a phenomena Merkel had ordered investigated years ago and since, a very resounding silence.) Oh, and the copyright of Hitler’s ‘Mein Kampf’ enriching the CSU run Bavarian government “The Bavarian government plans to publish a new English translation with commentary in 2015, shortly before the expiration of copyright in 2016.” [Wikipedia] Shouldn’t this book rather be consigned to the ash bin?

And let’s not forget the recent case and trial of the neo-Nazi murders of immigrants seems to have altogether forgotten the links to the murder of a German policewoman (with evidence pointing to a German policeman & member of the Klu Klux Klan providing inside information to the gang, making her ambush and murder possible, all apparently swept under the rug.)

What do you suppose any of this (tip of the entrenched German Nazi legacy iceberg) could have to do with the CSU’s Hans-Peter Friedrich (German Interior Minister) pitching xenophobic election statements about Romanians coming to Germany in droves to feed off the social welfare state? And this is the guy Germany would trust to interview Snowden? You’ve got to be kidding, Friedrich’s life is dedicated to performing political fellatio on the USA (attempt to deport me Friedrich, I could use the publicity concerning your sitting on your hands, knowing all the while, CIA, JSOC and MOSSAD have hunted me across Germany. Then you’d have an unwanted asylum request!)

Zero stars for the flagrant omissions and cowardice of John Riceberg’s journalism.

“At Home In The Heim” by Anna & Anna (text & photos) is a short photo essay of refugee life. Does not qualify for criticism and rating.

“Refugee rap” by Mihret Yohannes is another ode to male narcissism when compared to the upcoming article on Mimi.

‘Nuri’ comes across as harboring delusions of grandeur insofar as belief in the impact his budding career as a ‘social impact’ rap artist will have on the plight of refugees: “From the very first track to the very last, this album will aim a huge blow at the face of German politics” or so Nuri maintains. Well, probably not. The fact is, and you need to know this Nuri, the majority of German politics only wish you and your cause would go away. And the ‘majority’ of German people support the majority of German politics, that’s how democracy works. Let me put it this way; It’s a bit like a German father who is respected in the community but has a closet habit of hiring hookers. When he brings a venereal disease home, he’ll claim it must have come from a public toilet seat at a refugee camp. These people are not honest, they do not care about you and they will never take real responsibility for their role in the events that have caused the refugee influx, rather will see you as the core problem or disease as opposed to the symptom. You can rap your little heart out, the people who matter aren’t listening, a small and inconvenient truth. Actually a very real and sadistic truth that fat German industrialists smoking cigars in corporate boardrooms celebrate on account of the German military-industrial profits that creating the refugees generates. Now, if you’d like to earn some legitimate self-respect, you’d do what Mimi had done, give up your music career and work hands on, to relieve the factual misery of your fellow refugees because the Germans will never step up and take real responsibility for the problems they create.

Mihret gets four of five stars for allowing Nuri to expose himself as a man without honest convictions

“School spirit” by Claudia Claros earns the five stars of a possible five, for EXBERLINER Issue 121.

Mimi sacrificed everything to help out the refugees when she did not have to. She quit her band: “You know, I just couldn’t go around singing when we don’t even have a clean toilet here.”

Mimi, a Black woman having up close and personal first hand experience with the very real, endemic and society-wide German racism, worked herself to point of hospitalized for these unfortunates, whether putting herself in harm’s way while protesting, cooking, cleaning, organizing, attending meetings, dealing with politics, all under intense pressure. And therein is the real heroine of Germany’s self-generated (NATO affiliated) refugee crisis. Will the ‘boys’ take Mimi’s example to heart and become useful as real human beings? Experience witnesses ‘likely not.’ C’est la vie.

Overall, the greatest weakness of Issue 121 is the magazine articles lack of depth due to too many stories requiring what are complex events be chronicled in short and shallow journalism. This may or may not be responsible for appearance of hiding behind local issues in such a way as to avoid the tough issues and macro-cosmic vision required to arrive at any real truths related to the subject matter (theme.) In any case, reality is (using a metaphor) if you fail a required subject, you do not graduate university. EXBERLINER Issue121 fails.

Note to political commentator (expert moron) Werner: I’ll likely be on your case again soon, do not despair! Perhaps by then your most recent column will have faded from my impression as recalling a Scots folk song: “Did you ever see a laddie go this way and that way…”

A Letter to the ECCHR

One of my heroes of journalism is coming to Berlin. As much as this is pleasing to me, it also provides opportunity to raise a difficult issue. That issue would be the RANK COWARDICE of Germans in the political and human rights establishment. This letter has been sent to the European Center for Constitutional and Human Rights, which is hosting Jeremy Scahill’s visit, as well copied to Hans Christian Stroebel and Gregor Gysi at the German Federal Parliament (and other parties.)

Great to see you hosting Jeremy Scahill. I invite you to look into a less famous case, closer to home.

My invitation for your organization is, to challenge Germany’s government on allowing JSOC, CIA & MOSSAD to run free in Germany for years engaging in criminal acts, up to and inclusive of both; the attempted rendition and assassination of this correspondent. As well, question why it is ‘responsible’ persons at the Bundestag sit on their hands with tails between legs when they damn well should have been raising their voices. It is my own firm intention there will not be any opportunity to claim ‘we didn’t know’ after the fact, like so many Germans did after the Reich’s defeat.

Letter to the EU Parliament

This is information I’d initially sent to approximately 150 persons including federal legislators of four NATO nations, inclusive of German Parliament members. Subsequently I’ve forwarded this on to 298 (mostly women) members of the European Union Parliament. Why women? Because I’ve found the male politicians here in Europe (Germany particularly) to be crass cowards. Perhaps we will see the issue gain some traction in the coming weeks and months (one can always hope)

Dear Member of Parliament

I wished to provide you with informed information relating the United States Department of Defense. As you may know, the National Security Agency is under Department of Defense authority and is staffed by, and coordinates with, military personnel and Pentagon programs. In this case it is important you be made aware of facts which have not (to now) been associated with the National Security Agency as regards the Snowden revelations. It has been established by professionals in the fields of law and intelligence that radical American Exceptionalism in the form of religious extremism has more than a large influence at the Pentagon. No less than a former White House attorney, Mikey Weinstein, who’d served as an officer in the United States Air Force has established facts of a far right Christian extremism overtaken the top positions controlling the USA’s military. To fully understand what is happening at the National Security Agency, one must be informed to the facts at the Pentagon.

As a former United States military intelligence professional, I have collaborated with Mikey Weinstein (of the five time Nobel Peace Prize nominated organization Military Religious Freedom Foundation) when developing the information presented (below.) I believe very strongly the members of the European Parliament becoming informed of these facts is in the best interests of humanity as a whole.

Of Nukes, Courage and Cowardice

I have been acquainted with Mikey Weinstein of the Military Religious Freedom Foundation since June of 2008. A quick look into my mail program shows thousands of communications between myself, Mikey and his five times Nobel Peace Prize nominated organization. We have made common cause over these past several years, sharing enemies and challenges. What I admire most about Mikey is his ability to set aside differences and focus on where collaboration will serve the common good. And his infinite courage and dedication to defeating a dark evil while facing tall odds.

As courageous as Mikey is, the enemy we face is doubly dangerous because it is a lethally armed cowardice. When the ‘American Exceptionalism’ comes to a belief at the top levers of power, a drone launched Hellfire missile on one side of the planet, by a video game geek in uniform on the other side of the planet, ‘serves the purpose of the Lord’, it is more than fair to question what it is we are doing as a nation, it is actually a necessity to CHALLENGE the underlying motive of what has become, as Mikey straight-forwardly says, “A weaponized gospel of Jesus Christ.”

There was a brilliant novel, ‘Watership Down’, which portrayed a scene in which a Rabbit colony lived in denial of snares set throughout their warren. This peculiar form of cowardice is not unique. We have our folk wisdom underscoring this behavioral phenomena, for instance ‘the elephant in the living room’ no one will discuss. We have arrived there as a society, when our leadership and media will have no part of any discussion pointing to our own religious criminal elements responsible for reprehensible acts for which the most severe punishments should be meted out in any society under a functioning rule of law.

Mikey Weinstein could no doubt list hundreds (probably thousands) of punishable offenses under existing law that have gone unpunished in the United States military since his foundation had been established (2006.) These offenses are tolerated in the lower ranks because they do NOT offend the sensibilities of commanders at the very top ranks. I am speaking of the fanatic Christians that rule the greater military from the Pentagon, our nation’s top officers. In 2013, Mikey defends 34,000 mostly lower rank (soldiers, airmen and sailor clients) military from hate crimes by extremist Christians in uniform. This would be unnecessary except for the bigots running the Pentagon.

Here is the text of a recent, unedited hate mail, personally forward to myself by Mikey:

“I am a proud Christian living and spreading The Word of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ here in Tulsa. Me and my wife came to listen to the devil’s own MikieWienstein at the All Soul’s unitarian church here last saturday. Our pastor told us the next day at Sunday Service that this so called “church” should be renamed as “All Soul’s Going To Hell” for 2 reasons. First it invited one of the greatest enemys of Christ wienstein to even speak here in Tulsa in the first place. Second becausenoone at that “church” has been saved by the blood of the Lamb Jesus Christ. And they all then will burn in the Lake of Fire for they rejection of our Savior. We listened to mikie Wienstein speak his evil words against allowing Christ to impower our U.S. army soldiers. We watched the jews face. We could not help but notice his face. Being a cunning jew he has a shrewd jew face to begin with to confuse the people. But the spirit on that dark face of his could only be of the Dark One himself satan. It was so obvious. It gave my wife and me chils to behold his demonism. My wife wanted to ask him a question at the microphone about him being of satan. But his evil glare from his dark father the fallen angel satan kept her from the strength to do so. And it was useless anyway. As all the others there will burnerternally in hell with that jew of satan. And he had to bring his big nigra guards with him for protection? He has no protection from The Way,The Truth and The Life of Jesus. Mikie should no that there is no protection from those who kiss the lips of satan. And reject the free gift of the love of Christ. He gets what is coming for him from the warriors of the Savior. It is only a matter of time now.”

The most influential thing encouraging this pervasive, vile and bigoted hate, is the refusal of the Pentagon to step up and meet the bigotry this mail fairly represents in our military. Why they do nothing is, because this is the prevailing belief at the Pentagon as well.

Our Pentagon poster child for this vile expression of American Exceptionalism degenerated to religious motivated hate, and the lesson of the Rabbit warren in denial, is David A Patraeus. The cover story is General Patraeus resigned from the CIA over marital infidelity. In fact, a major British mainstream newspaper, The Guardian, was putting the finishing touches on a documentary film tying General Patraeus to black site torture centers and death squads in Iraq. It would never do to have a sitting Director of the CIA implicated for international crimes in our national press if the New York Times or Washington Post were to pick this story up and run with it. True to the principle of ignoring the ‘elephant in the living room’, American mainstream media sucked up to Obama’s ‘look forward, not back’ policy and did not run the Guardian exposé implicating not only Patraeus but also Bush, Cheney and Rumsfeld.

General Patraues ties with extreme Christian fundamentalism at the Pentagon has been established by the Military Religious Freedom Foundation. He had endorsed extreme literature (“a copy should be in every soldier’s rucksack”), and under General Patraeus command, not only having a ‘weaponized gospel of Jesus’ shoved down soldiers throats had been tolerated, but pervasive sexual assault, and murder of women soldiers as well (according to the informed assertions of Colonel Ann Wright.) If you are familiar with extreme Christian theology, women are not really that cool, women being responsible for everything gone wrong in this world since ‘The Fall.’ Last year there were 26,000 sexual assaults in the United States military, up from 19,000 the year before. Almost no one is punished. See anything wrong with this picture? Who has had an office in the Pentagon for years? General Patraeus’ favored “Officers Christian Fellowship”, a 20,000 member fundamentalist Christian military organization that views our armed forces as a crusader force; and whose senior members were put on a fast track to promotion for 8 years under the Evangelical Bush. The result is, men who believe woman are inferior and Muslims are the children of Satan are running the Pentagon, controlling the triggers from half a world away, sending Hellfire missiles into homes where they ‘suspect’ a militant might be. Are these really the people you’d like to see keeping custody of the world’s largest nuclear arsenal?

And speaking of nukes, we have a rabidly evangelical command structure in the United States Air Force where most of those nukes are held. Aside altogether from the ‘strategic’ inter-continental ballistic missile, the Air Force has custody of enough ‘tactical’ nuclear weapons that can be dropped from planes, to ignite any region of the world in flames, leaving little more than ash. Those ‘tactical’ weapons are not necessarily ‘secure’ when you can easily assemble flight crews who believe (like their superiors at the Pentagon) in literal Armageddon.

A mainstream media in the United States which refuses to report on war crimes tied to General Patraeus in Iraq, as documented by The Guardian, is certainly not to be trusted to report the fact the United States military has become, in and of itself, a world threatening entity. The information is there, they know the facts and the facts do not go to press. One of Mikey Weinstein’s great concerns is Christian fanatics having custody of America’s nuclear arsenal. I agree. What are the New York Times and Washington Post thinking? That Obama’s generals will turn themselves in and confess the facts? Or has the media decided it’s too ‘inconvenient’ for a Commander-in-Chief (Obama) to be bothered during a time of war with the small detail his generals are the 21st Century equivalent of NAZI field marshals, who likely share a beer in pure joy every time one of the hate mails directed at Weinstein is made public and nothing is done.

On this side of the pond (I am in Germany), my endeavor has been to raise awareness in our NATO allies, just how dangerous an entity the USA has become, if only it is plain there is little political will at top levers of power in the USA to confront what is pointed to an out of control circumstance threatening our world. The hate mail quoted in this letter is one of many I have forwarded to German politicians and I must say the cowardice I’ve encountered here is indeed great. How do I know this? I have all of the training and resources needed to determine the Federal Republic of Germany has been made fully aware, at the top tier of power, of the circumstance as detailed in the preceding. After all, the facts as presented are a NATO issue. To be certain I got their attention, I filed a complaint against Germany in the International Criminal Court for aiding and abetting the USA in war crimes. It would appear the body politic here, is simply in the pocket of the USA (Merkel) or has it’s tail between its legs (everyone else.)

Will Mikey give up? Never. Nor will I, because something has to give before this thing ends us all, simply stated. This is for our future generations.

Of Nukes, Courage and Cowards

On 30 September 2013, I sent this assessment in letter form to 298 (mostly women) members of the European Union Parliament. Why the women? Because the male politicians here in Europe (Germany particularly) have shown themselves to be rank cowards. Let’s hope the women will give this issue a bit of traction in the coming weeks and months-

Here is the text of a recent, unedited hate mail, personally forwarded to myself by Mikey:

“I am a proud Christian living and spreading The Word of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ here in Tulsa. Me and my wife came to listen to the devil’s own MikieWienstein at the All Soul’s unitarian church here last saturday. Our pastor told us the next day at Sunday Service that this so called “church” should be renamed as “All Soul’s Going To Hell” for 2 reasons. First it invited one of the greatest enemys of Christ wienstein to even speak here in Tulsa in the first place. Second because noone at that “church” has been saved by the blood of the Lamb Jesus Christ. And they all then will burn in the Lake of Fire for they rejection of our Savior. We listened to mikieWienstein speak his evil words against allowing Christ to impower our U.S. army soldiers. We watched the jews face. We could not help but notice his face. Being a cunning jew he has a shrewd jew face to begin with to confuse the people. But the spirit on that dark face of his could only be of the Dark One himself satan. It was so obvious. It gave my wife and me chils to behold his demonism. My wife wanted to ask him a question at the microphone about him being of satan. But his evil glare from his dark father the fallen angel satan kept her from the strength to do so. And it was useless anyway. As all the others there will burn erternally in hell with that jew of satan. And he had to bring his big nigra guards with him for protection? He has no protection from The Way,The Truth and The Life of Jesus. Mikie should no that there is no protection from those who kiss the lips of satan. And reject the free gift of the love of Christ. He gets what is coming for him from the warriors of the Savior. It is only a matter of time now.”

The Navy Yard Reporting Smells Wrong

There were initial reports of 3 distinct gunmen, in at least two separate locations, with descriptions radioed to area policemen. A professional SWAT team happened to be in close proximity, was on location almost immediately and were ordered to stand down (told to take no action and leave the area.) The shooting goes on and eventually a ‘lone’ gunman is ‘shot dead.’ He is a worker among the dead workers at the Navy Yard.

Meanwhile, initial reports of two or three shooters in separate locations and their descriptions vanish from the reporting and the dead ‘shooter’ is credited with shooting from multiple locations. But the SWAT team ordered away from the incident will not go away in the news, the members insist on knowing why they were ordered not to stop the just beginning killing rampage and leave the area (allowing it to go on.)

See anything wrong with this picture? Engineered Massacre? This one, with a professional SWAT team almost immediately on location but then ordered not to interfere and leave, has all the necessary ammunition, so to speak, to provide conspiracy theorists with enough credibility to have a bit of a deeper look.

Aurora: The evidence covered up by law enforcement and the court in the ‘Batman’ theater shooting is nothing short of overwhelming. Video of close eyewitness accounts clearly detail the shooter(s) had inside help and this evidence is suppressed. The accused James Holmes is so drugged at his arraignment, he keeps nodding off, with not enough mental facility to so much as be cognizant of his surroundings, let alone to engage what is actually happening. Holmes immediate pre-incident history points to experience with CIA/military behavior modification along the lines of MKULTRA/MONARCH which had been (according to a former CIA Officer) simply laundered or re-concealed rather than dismantled as the agency had claimed.

The actors and motive? It would appear American constitutional ‘right to bear arms’ is under assault with deliberate shootings aimed at generating a public outrage sufficient to justify taking the American peoples’ arms away and the attending threat to a ‘Deep State’ exposed; for which there is overwhelming circumstantial evidence in the public domain. Almost certainly Aurora was the ‘Deep State crime family’ at work, seeking to disarm the American people, this goes on not only with assaults but also with propaganda.

With this new incident, were it necessary to prevent any interruption of a crime and subsequent engineering of a crime scene, most certainly a professional SWAT team that did not fit into the plan, would have to be ordered away from the Navy Yard.

Whether this is in fact the deep state syndicate social engineering for the neo-liberal Obama, providing Obama growing political capital to push for removing the right of the people to bear arms, we may never know, but we certainly may question this event’s authenticity; on account of the indisputable engineering and cover-up of the incident at Aurora, Colorado. What’s more, the Navy Yard smells of covert social engineering through terror along the lines of Operation GLADIO (as in ‘we’ve seen this s**t before’)

And then, San Bernardino happened… “Three tall White men did it”

Robert Seldon Lady, CIA Slime-Bag

CIA Officer and convicted kidnap felon Robert Seldon Lady has asked Italy’s president for a pardon. Lady claims “he had been advised they were in accordance with US, Italian and international law” when carrying out a kidnap and delivery to torture. But in a 2009 interview with Italian magazine Il Giornale, Lady stated “When you work in intelligence, you do things in the country in which you work that are not legal. It’s a life of illegality.” Clearly he knew his actions were illegal. It’s should be no surprise how easily CIA people lie, it’s a criminal lifestyle’s nature.

Lady should have to come clean on his career of crime to be eligible for a pardon, but this is something a man who has lied to the president of Italy in his pardon application would never do.

My questions for Robert Seldon Lady are quite simple; were you working Wiesbaden in the Summer of 2008, when your fellow Italian court convict and CIA colleague, Sabrina De Sousa, had been a member of the team that tried to take me out? When she gave up her cover to sue for diplomatic immunity in the Italian case, I was able to positively identify De Sousa from her photo as involved in the operations aimed at myself in Wiesbaden. In Italy, the operation you worked with De Sousa was personally approved by Condoleezza Rice, a woman with a very personal axe to grind in my case .. considering I can tie her to a criminal ring in government (includes ‘torture is legal’ lawyers John Yoo and Jay Bybee) counterfeiting compliance to laws to push through CHEVRON ‘permit to drill’ applications where CHEVRON had no right to pursue development. Since when is it the business of CIA operatives to take out American citizens on behalf of CHEVRON?

No dungeon is too deep, dark, dank and damned for Robert Seldon Lady and his associates. Why should any CIA criminal kidnap convict be pardoned and be able to freely travel abroad, when I cannot come home on account of the impunity exercised by international criminals he is directly tied to?

The Left’s Anti-Federalist Urban Legend

Author’s note: This article rejects the ‘incorporation’ legal doctrine that holds the first ten amendments were originally limited to persons in the federal jurisdiction. The reason is, this doctrine is patent bs which ignores the ‘supremacy clause’ of the USA constitution’s article six. To believe in the ‘incorporation’ doctrine is to hold a viewpoint constitution does not mean what it says. No less a personage than the great Justice Brennan believed the doctrine was patently false. The likely origin of the doctrine was with ‘federalist’ jurists who never accepted the the outcome of our constitutional convention and the deal crafted where a ‘bill of rights’ was required to be presented for ratification to get ‘anti-federalist’ support for our constitution’s adoption and making it out of the convention-

There is an urban legend circulated by faux historians on the progressive left, including Consortium News & journalist Robert Parry, promoting a revisionist history undermining our core civil liberties with a smear attacking the religious right’s historical revisionism with its own historical revisionism. This urban legend claims anti-federalist philosophy is rooted in setting out to protect slavery by weakening the provisions for an American central government. The argument on the left is as distorted as the Tea Party revisionism it attacks. Anyone approaching our foundational law should recall Oscar Wilde’s maxim “Truth is seldom pure and never simple” .. and such is the case with our nation’s founding law at the time of its creation.

The noted revisionism of the left holds, in short, that American anti-federalist sentiment at the time of the United States founding law’s enactment was primarily pro-slavery motivated. This patent bullshit distorts the anti-federalists every bit as much as the religious right distorts the constitution per se. In some of these variations of faux history coming from the left, the 2^nd Amendment (right of the people to bear arms) is construed to be, or conflated with states rights in an ante-bellum, pro-southern slavery context. To this end, I will point out the 2nd amendment had/has little to do with states rights and propping up slavery. The word “state” in the 2^nd Amendment “A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state” is used (as it was meant to be used) in a singular, greater sense of ‘nation’ as the term ‘state’ is commonly known and used in international relations to this day. The 2nd Amendment’s “a free state” in the collective sense of the greater nation contrasts to the plural states (or plural sense of states) in the context of individual American states as is specific in the 6th & the 10th amendments; with some behaviors enforced on all states, such as the 6th Amendment’s “In all criminal prosecutions, the accused shall enjoy the right to a speedy and public trial, by an impartial jury of the State and district wherein the crime shall have been committed…” (a plural sense of any state, effectively all states are to be bound by this) and also limited powers reserved to the states, per a clearly logical placement and context in the 10th Amendment after the constitutions ‘enumerated’ and ‘unenumerated’ rights had been secured to all citizens in the 9th Amendment’s “The enumeration in the Constitution, of certain rights, shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people”, the laws of individual states notwithstanding. The 10th Amendment language “The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people” in fact reinforces our constitution’s Article Six ‘supremacy clause’ language “This Constitution, and the Laws of the United States which shall be made in Pursuance thereof; and all Treaties made, or which shall be made, under the Authority of the United States, shall be the supreme Law of the Land; and the Judges in every State shall be bound thereby, any Thing in the Constitution or Laws of any State to the Contrary notwithstanding” and puts the lie to anyone who would hold our ‘Bill of Rights’ was intended to undermine our constitution per se (also putting the lie anyone holding the so-called ‘Bill of Rights’ did not originally apply to states outside federal jurisdiction, i.e. the so-called ‘incorporation’ doctrine or people who think the language in Article Six does not mean what it plainly says.)

The reason the post Civil War 14th Amendment was necessary, had been to insure every southern state would be required to apply equal protection of the laws to Blacks as citizens, or those Blacks who were previously exempted by their status as slaves. In its original intent, the 14th Amendment was meant to extend the Bill of Rights protections to a targeted class (Blacks.)

Because of confusion of ‘state’ as a nation with ‘state’ as a state in these United States, in the American English dialect, ‘nation’ had come to replace ‘state’ in a sense of federal or national. However this was not yet the case at the time of our founding law being written; and the founding context of the language of the 2^nd Amendment is a singular ‘people’ and refers to a ‘state’ in the sense of the United States as a nation, people of all the states inclusive. Attempts to conflate the greater ‘state’ in the 2^nd Amendment with the individual ‘states’ comprising our nation is patently dishonest.

That gun violence has not been intelligently addressed in the USA is because this issue has never been honestly addressed. A ‘militia of the people’ as it exists in law and fact because of the 2^nd Amendment, could be somewhat regulated in the philosophy of ‘balances’ by defining (from history) under what circumstance the people may ‘keep’ and ‘bear’ their arms. We’re not there yet.

None of the 1st through 8th amendments protection of the rights of individual citizens had much of anything to do with Blacks of the founding era, as they were not enfranchised citizens as a class, and the facts are at odds with left’s popular myth (urban legend) that somehow the anti-federalists got their way with undermining a federalist desire of an all powerful central government in the constitution on account of slavery. In the end, what the anti-federalists got were checks meant to result in balances, also known as the Bill of Rights.

I somehow doubt the anti-federalist 4th amendment concerning privacy in one’s papers had anything to do with propping up slavery, a given example of motivation in the anti-federalists’ actual intentions. Or other rights, for instance prohibition of a bill of attainder. Or the right to confront your accuser. To name but a few provisions of the first through eighth amendments authored by the anti-federalists.

If our “Bill of Rights” had been insisted upon by anti-federalists, and it most certainly was, the entire world, it would be implied by this specious and twisted revisionism coming from the left, is indebted to slaveholders for the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights inspired by the American Bill of Rights and certain of its provisions. Parry’s argument is beyond irony, it is patent nonsense. The fact is, slaveholders were a minority of the Americans with anti-federalist sentiment, and a minority in the geographic south as well, and this is where the left’s ‘equating anti-federalists with slavery’ crotch slams into the bicycle bar:

Anti-federalism was by no means an exclusive southern phenomena related to a minority of slave owners but was a general angst of the new republic’s citizenry from Georgia to New Hampshire. This angst primarily (and majority ratified) concerns historic abuses of power by central governments traced in the American tradition to the Magna Charta particularly and the European powers’ abuses generally. The right of the ‘people’ (all inclusive) to bear arms was deemed necessary as a check of last resort on a central government and was intended to be just that, a check, and has nothing to do with states rights and little to do with individual states’ militias per se. However some slave owning, southern anti-federalists might have wished a different outcome, the 2^nd Amendment is NOT about slavery outside of those minority ante-bellum slave owners who would misconstrue it as such, and please note anti-federalist authored ‘Bill of Rights” specifies core civil liberties of citizens under assault by today’s federal (central) government with XKeyScore. This is clear.

The anti-federalist amendments were passed (ratified) by northern states with populations opposed to slavery, not only a minority of southern slave owners among the southerners per se, a truly small minority opposed to federalism for personal pecuniary interests. The greater majority of the people, north and south, were of anti-federalist sentiment for reasons having little to with slavery and greatly to do with historic abuses of the larger citizenry by central governments.

Insofar as the insights held by our anti-federalist founders as enumerated in the Bill of Rights, Edward Snowden’s revelations are evidence prima facie of why strong central governments were mistrusted across the spectrum by the American people at the time of our founding. The founders were not stupid but well educated in history and forward looking for the most part. The anti-federalists were largely about looking forward to a Snowden circumstance (having to do with protecting us from out of control central government), the Bill of Rights was not about protecting slave owners.

In fact the anti-federalist founders across the board, north and south, were so certain their convictions would be upheld by the people, they put their money where their mouth is so to speak, and allowed the constitution out of convention while settling for a separate ratification of the first ten amendments, subsequently vindicated in result across the spectrum of American society, with adoption by the larger American people of our Bill of Rights. In fact, the prescience of our nation’s founding generation points directly to today’s central government having set out to undermine where they can, and flat out cancel, when possible, the checks our anti-federalist founders meant to secure us from the tyranny of a police state.

A veteran journalist catching and spreading this historical revisionism virus, undermining those clauses of our constitution checking abuses of power by central government, suggests to me (dis)information operations and questions whether Parry actually serves journalism or an altogether different ‘agency.’ Reading a Robert Parry article at Consortium News can be as disgusting as reading the patent lies of the neo-liberal New York Times.

Separately altogether from the progressive left’s distortions of history, for honest reporting on the religious right’s distortion of our history and constitution, I recommend ‘liarsforjesus.com‘
