The Navy Yard Reporting Smells Wrong

There were initial reports of 3 distinct gunmen, in at least two separate locations, with descriptions radioed to area policemen. A professional SWAT team happened to be in close proximity, was on location almost immediately and were ordered to stand down (told to take no action and leave the area.) The shooting goes on and eventually a ‘lone’ gunman is ‘shot dead.’ He is a worker among the dead workers at the Navy Yard.

Meanwhile, initial reports of two or three shooters in separate locations and their descriptions vanish from the reporting and the dead ‘shooter’ is credited with shooting from multiple locations. But the SWAT team ordered away from the incident will not go away in the news, the members insist on knowing why they were ordered not to stop the just beginning killing rampage and leave the area (allowing it to go on.)

See anything wrong with this picture? Engineered Massacre? This one, with a professional SWAT team almost immediately on location but then ordered not to interfere and leave, has all the necessary ammunition, so to speak, to provide conspiracy theorists with enough credibility to have a bit of a deeper look.

Aurora: The evidence covered up by law enforcement and the court in the ‘Batman’ theater shooting is nothing short of overwhelming. Video of close eyewitness accounts clearly detail the shooter(s) had inside help and this evidence is suppressed. The accused James Holmes is so drugged at his arraignment, he keeps nodding off, with not enough mental facility to so much as be cognizant of his surroundings, let alone to engage what is actually happening. Holmes immediate pre-incident history points to experience with CIA/military behavior modification along the lines of MKULTRA/MONARCH which had been (according to a former CIA Officer) simply laundered or re-concealed rather than dismantled as the agency had claimed.

The actors and motive? It would appear American constitutional ‘right to bear arms’ is under assault with deliberate shootings aimed at generating a public outrage sufficient to justify taking the American peoples’ arms away and the attending threat to a ‘Deep State’ exposed; for which there is overwhelming circumstantial evidence in the public domain. Almost certainly Aurora was the ‘Deep State crime family’ at work, seeking to disarm the American people, this goes on not only with assaults but also with propaganda.

With this new incident, were it necessary to prevent any interruption of a crime and subsequent engineering of a crime scene, most certainly a professional SWAT team that did not fit into the plan, would have to be ordered away from the Navy Yard.

Whether this is in fact the deep state syndicate social engineering for the neo-liberal Obama, providing Obama growing political capital to push for removing the right of the people to bear arms, we may never know, but we certainly may question this event’s authenticity; on account of the indisputable engineering and cover-up of the incident at Aurora, Colorado. What’s more, the Navy Yard smells of covert social engineering through terror along the lines of Operation GLADIO (as in ‘we’ve seen this s**t before’)

And then, San Bernardino happened… “Three tall White men did it”

May 1st 2015 update: A year and one-half on, this is very dated material and goes to show how geopolitical circumstance can change rapidly; and not necessarily for the better. Damascus’ chemical weapons were liquidated, but ISIS has exploded onto the scene and chemical weapons use and finger pointing have not altogether ceased. The Iran tactic is refocused but Israel ally Saudi Arabia is working to undermine the possibilities with a proxy war in Yemen. And so it goes…

The following Monday Russia made the plan public. By Tuesday, 10 September, Obama and the western powers had abruptly reversed course and agreed to the Russian proposal in principle. Meanwhile Obama has backed out of asking for a Congressional vote on attacking Syria, where these issues would have been debated. That imminent attack is forestalled is a good thing, the congressional debate called off is not.

Whoever helped to bring pressure to forestall any attack on Syria, my thanks to you all and this goes to show some people have their heads properly attached. But the issue of the USA attacking Syria is far from resolved. Corporate and national intelligence agencies continue to be a real threat to the region and those with agenda to ultimately take down Iran (with Syria as a stepping-stone) will not easily give up-

 

Dear Senator Tester

I am your constituent. I also happen to be a former United States Special Forces non-commissioned officer for operations & intelligence. I have been studying the circumstance in Syria for the past couple of years.

You don’t have to be a conspiracy theorist to get this one. Prior to the most recent chemical weapons incident in Syria, the USA had opened the door to its allies Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Kuwait to pour weapons to jihadi ‘rebels’ and then looked the other way as though it were not happening. Meanwhile Al Jazeera has a radical Sunni cleric that can reach 60,000,000 Muslims; preaching jihad and exhorting young men to fight for the ‘rebels.’ The result? Hard-line Al Nusra Islamists are the largest and most effective group of fighters in the western allies gambit to overthrow the government of Assad. A result is an entire new generation of trained, motivated and seasoned veteran Al Qaida fighters.

A previous chemical attack had implicated the so-called ‘rebels’ as perpetrators. Meanwhile western pundits ‘doubt’ the ‘rebels’ have the technical capacity to manufacture and deliver chemical attack, something any bright American university chemistry major could accomplish in reality.

The Al Nusra front in Syria is Al Qaida. Al Qaida has been running research labs on radiological, biological and CHEMICAL weapons for at least two decades. Modifying a small rocket to deliver is not any big technical feat.

Assad had gained the upper-hand in recent months and the rebels need western intervention to swing the pendulum back in their favor. Suddenly there is a chemical attack that can only benefit the rebels (Assad knows better than to do this) and the western powers go crazy in a push to punish Assad.

Was it Assad? Least likely.

Was it Al Qaida? Quite possibly.

Was it intelligence agencies on behalf of the ‘rebels’? Highly likely.

The western democracies (includes Israel) have a vested interest in taking down Syria, a stepping stone to taking down Iran. For Israel, it has to do with the obsession of Iran attaining a nuclear bomb, something Iran would be crazy NOT to do from an Iranian point of view. Iran has been under assault from the west since 1953 with the USA overthrow of it’s legitimate government and propping up the murderous Shah of Iran as a puppet/proxy .. resulting in Iran becoming radicalized and since, the USA in a cold war with the ayatollahs.  Whether Israel is a proxy of the USA or vice-versa via AIPAC, is immaterial. We created a boogey-man for both in Iran with OUR POLICIES (MOSSAD was right there with us, training the Shah’s secret police that terrorized the Iranian people.) That Iran would want the bomb as a deterrent should come as no surprise to anyone. Syria is an Iranian ally with a common border with Israel. So Syria must be taken down from the western democracies point of view.

Iran going down is in the logical progression of an ultimate goal of isolating Russia, a threat to western democracies corporate hegemony (with umbrella groups like Builderberg and Council on Foreign Relations with a plethora of subservient political action committees pulling the western democracies puppet-politicians’ strings via lobbyists and limitless corporate campaign contributions thanks to the USA’s supreme court and the decision ‘Citizens United’.)

Now, in the grand campaign to overthrow Assad, on top of having arranged, organized, armed and trained ‘rebel’ (Al Nusra/Al Qaida) forces, resulting in a sectarian war in Syria responsible for 100,000 dead and millions of refugee lives destroyed, Obama is now lobbying Congress to do Al Qaida another HUGE favor by attacking the Syrian military. John McCain is right there holding Obama’s hand in this effort, with his inserting language into the senate resolution calling for an official USA’s policy to support the ‘rebel’ overthrow of Assad.

There is a fake ‘rebel’ government in exile the USA recognizes and in fact this government in exile is fake because it has precisely ZERO control over the Al Nusra front (Al Qaida), the most powerful opposition to the regime in Syria. If Assad is overthrown, who comes into control of Syrian chemical weapons stockpiles? The most well armed, largest and effective group of fighters among the ‘rebels’ .. that is Al Qaida (Al Nusra.)

So, my question is, just what is the USA thinking, with delivering Syrian professional manufacture, military grade chemical weapons stocks into the hands of Al Qaida? Think about it. Berlin. Paris. Rome. London. Madrid. New York. Tel Aviv. Is the Senate made up of absolute idiots?

Dear Ron

Thank you for contacting me about the situation in Syria.  It’s important to hear from you.

The actions of Syria’s president are abhorrent, and his efforts to remain in power are having terrible consequences for his people and the region.  However, I have serious concerns about the possibility of American military involvement in the conflict.

We are working hard to re-set our military after more than a decade of war, get our fiscal house in order, and meet our needs here at home.  In light of this, I am wary about committing more military resources to another foreign conflict.

I am pleased that the President decided to bring this matter before Congress.  We now have the opportunity to hold a long-overdue, nationwide debate about American foreign policy priorities in this troubled region.  As I gather information about the Syrian conflict and the impacts of potential U.S. involvement, I will be sure to keep your views in mind.

Your input is a critical part of making sure that my work in the Senate reflects our Montana priorities.  Please don’t hesitate to contact me again if I can be of further assistance.

I had penned the original draft of this article in the Spring of 2012. Not long after, Seymour Hersh had published ‘Our Men in Iran?‘ citing excellent sources for his work and undermined my articles premise the Mojahedin-e-Khalq had renounced armed struggle, which, of course, caused me to reassess the wider picture of how this group plays in geo-politics. This is the considerably revamped result. The upshot is, the Bush administration, using the several thousand MEK members trapped in Iraq, held the MEK hostage to reentering the game of terror, as state actors. This has carried on under Obama; where the MEK had managed to be de-listed as a terror group in Europe by legitimate means of giving up armed struggle, they were forced into the game of assassination to earn a subsequent ‘de-listing’ by the Americans.

Mojahedin-e-Khalq; A story of no winners

This story of the Mojahedin-e-Khalq, a dissident Iranian group, begins with [Bill Clinton’s] Secretary of State Madeleine Albright’s statement:

“In 1953, the United States played a significant role in orchestrating the overthrow of Iran’s popular prime minister, Mohammed Mossadegh. The Eisenhower administration believed its actions were justified for strategic reasons, but the coup was clearly a setback for Iran’s political development and it is easy to see now why many Iranians continue to resent this intervention by America in their internal affairs.”

This month of August 2013, 60 years after the fact, the CIA has finally declassified documents relevant to the USA’s overthrow of the government of Iran.

Allen Dulles’ CIA was responsible for this ‘cold war’ crime, which had as much to do with American oil companies interests and military/industrial complex corporate profit lines, that is to say securing arms sales relevant to corporate greed, as much or more than it had to do with Soviet containment. The British monopoly on Iran’s oil production was broken, and American companies were able to muscle their way into the Iran oil market. After, the Shah of Iran, imposed on the Iranian people by the USA, became a prime buyer in the American weapons market, at one point going on an $8 billion in high tech weapons purchase spree. In the mid 1970s, by comparison with today, taking inflation into account, more than $34 billion in one short period.

With the CIA’s consolidation of absolute power handed to Shah Mohammad Reza Shah Pahlavi, and its training and long term support [with pro-active MOSSAD assistance] of the new and patently illegal regime’s brutal secret police SAVAK, subsequent torture and execution of political opposition, the wheels were put in motion for extended period of political friction and legitimate armed resistance under recognized principles of international law.

According to Encyclopædia Iranica:

“A U.S. Army colonel working for the CIA was sent to Persia in September 1953 to work with General Teymur Bakhtiar, who was appointed military governor of Tehran in December 1953 and immediately began to assemble the nucleus of a new intelligence organization. The U.S. Army colonel worked closely with Bakhtīār and his subordinates, commanding the new intelligence organization and training its members in basic intelligence techniques, such as surveillance and interrogation methods, the use of intelligence networks, and organizational security.”

These events initialized armed resistance movements in several and/or mutating forms over time, including the ‘People’s Mujahedin of Iran’, also known as the MEK or Mojahedin-e-Khalq Organization. There is a large [disarmed] remnant of the MEK imprisoned in a what amounts to a concentration camp in Iraq.

The Mojahedin-e-Khalq is problematic from a classic point of view in the history of American geo-political strategy. Allied with the Ayatollahs, until the overthrow of the Shah, there is record of Mojahedin-e-Khalq assassination of several Americans materially supporting the Shah’s regime, pointing towards the 1979 revolution.

However, post revolution development changed the political alignment of the MEK. Initially it was the Ayatollah Khomeini turned on the MEK in his consolidation and control over Iran’s revolution of 1979.

From this time forward, events saw the MEK degenerate from a powerful force turned to attempting overthrow of the ayatollahs, to a struggle to survive as an ‘isolani pawn’ in geo-political chess.

What the MEK could not have known of, at least in the rank and file, is the Paris meeting facilitated by Robert Gates of the CIA via MOSSAD, where 1980 Vice Presidential candidate George H.W. Bush met together with representative of the Ayatollah Khomeini.

There was a three way deal made, taken together with intervening subsequent events, it would seem the 1980 meeting had sealed the MEK fate 30 years in the future.

The Carter administration had ‘green lighted’ Iraq’s Saddam to invade Iran, following the desert fiasco when the American Embassy hostage rescue operation had come apart. With CIA personality William Casey running Reagan’s campaign, an initial ‘ernest money’ payment of $40 million cash (over $113 Million today, calculated with the inflation index) had been paid to Iran’s new rulers (the ayatollahs) to delay the release of the hostages until after the 1980 elections. A former CIA director, Reagan’s vice presidential running mate, George Herbert Walker Bush,  had been the Reagan camp’s representative at the meeting in Paris authorizing Israel to clandestinely arm Iran, evolving over time into the spillover Iran-Contra affair, and most certainly there would be wicked fallout for MEK as a deadly [at this period] internal foe of the Iranian regime.

Subsequent to the Paris meeting (linked American eyewitness account, Israeli eyewitness account HERE), the Ayatollah Khomeini would have leverage to receive much of the intelligence he needed from western agencies to deal aggressively with MEK, this was a top priority of the new regime and simply would not be neglected when bargaining from a position of advantage in negotiations with CIA and MOSSAD, to expect otherwise in matters of the geo- politic of the moment, is pure naïveté. In fact Iran was able to take a big piece of the MEK network down from within Iran, subsequently MEK became based in Iraq during the period of the Iraq-Iran war begun by Saddam. With the USA initially taking a ‘hands off’ position for public consumption, but eventually playing both sides, now arming Iraq, as well all the while feeding weapons to Iran, using Israel as the intermediary. That’s how a dirty double game is played. Both regimes were supplied weapons and intelligence and encouraged to tear each other to pieces.

The Ayatollahs had the weaponry needed to counter Saddam, the [treasonous] American party to the meeting, George Herbert Walker Bush, was delivered a victory in the 1980 presidential election, and Israel scored a Christian Zionist ally in the newly elected Reagan/Bush administration and a lift to the Israeli weapons industry.

Meanwhile, as Iraq and Iran were tearing each other to pieces with MEK become openly aligned with Iraq, alienating many Iranian supporters and serving to weaken the organization considerably even further, on more than one front. Not only was there the loss of much indigenous Iranian support for MEK came with the Iraq alignment, but there was subsequent attending and problematic public relations image of having become aligned with a man [Saddam] who’d gassed the Iraqi Kurds in which area the MEK was based, with USA complicity.

The MEK having relocated to Iraq for purposes of survival and on-going, pro- active military operations against the ayatollahs had, by 1990 with the Iraq/Iran war over, done considerable damage to its cause. An ensuing decade of weakened MEK resistance is largely notable for the Clinton administration having designated the MEK as a ‘terrorist’ organization, as a geo-political concession to Iran, when there were some attempt at USA/Iranian dialogue.

By 2001 the MEK had renounced violent struggle and converted to a political opposition in exile. This position was reinforced by the fact the MEK had negotiated its disarmament with the American military following the 2003 Iraq invasion and in fact turned its weapons over to the Americans as agreed, and without hostilities.

This past 10 years, closing the MEK story to the present, are interesting times, rich in intrigue and point to the western democracies, USA and France particularly, pursuing strategy to eliminate the MEK as a viable political movement in any possible future or post ayatollah Iran. The facts are succinct; the people of MEK had disarmed and international bodies, including the European Union’s courts have found the MEK has honored it stated intent of 2001 to become a non-violent political movement. In 2003, French neo-con Nicolas Sarkozy, then Interior Minister, approved of a police raid on MEK associated people, ordered by a French anti-terror magistrate, no doubt at Sarkozy’s instigation. The charges were not sustained and a member of the United States Senate Select Committee on Intelligence, Sam Brownback, accused Sarkozy of “doing Iran’s dirty work.” Brownback would have access to classified information at a necessary level to know.

This becomes more germane as the decade unfolds in USA/Iran relations and developments in regards to Iraq, oil and geo-politics. This is one aspect. But it is a dirty double game and of course this holds surprises.

About the time the American military handed custody of the MEK over to the Iraqi government, in 2009, it turns out CHEVRON was in negotiations with Iran over proposed development of an oil field. CHEVRON Board Director General James Jones was Obama National Security Advisor while once and future CHEVRON Board Director Condoleezza Rice was by this time back in the ‘private’ sector. This coincided with an Iraqi raid on the MEK and Prime Minister Maliki declaring the MEK would either have to repatriate to Iran or relocate to other countries. Real relocation effort to the present day, is nil.

Following intervening attacks, including one organized in Iraq by Iranian agents where Iraqi forces refused to intervene except to prevent MEK casualties transport to medical services, there was the April 8, 2011 attack by the Iraqi forces coinciding with the new CHEVRON strategic planning with Condoleezza Rice and General James Jones [also now back in the ‘private’ sector] initiating global policy on behalf of the USA.

The dirty ‘double game’ continues.

The MEK political leadership, in regards to the 2011 massacre at in Iraq, has been supported by American neo-con personalities that must be assessed as agents provocateur, Rudy Guiliani and Tom Ridge.

Determining whether this is naiveté on the part of MEK political leadership, simple blind arrogance or penetration of the MEK political apparatus by agents for CHEVRON is not the object of this analysis, but the fact turns up the Bush administration had subverted the MEK shift away from renouncing armed struggle and had been secretly training select MEK persons in special operations weapons and tactics (defined as terrorism when not employed by a nation’s elite military). This program and the MEK volunteers associated with it, had vanished from the USA secret training ground in America’s western desert by the time of the Obama administration, or so we are led to believe. But MEK ties to American neo-conservatism had by this time been solidified.

Richard Armitage, former U.S. Deputy Secretary of State, had stated:

“There were some in the administration who wanted to use the Mujahideen-e Khalq as a pressure point against Iran, and I can remember the national security adviser, Dr. [Condoleezza] Rice, being very specific about it, saying no, a terrorist group is a terrorist group.”

Following this bald-faced lie by Armitage, noting Condoleezza Rice was in power at the time the Americans were training the MEK commandos, I’d further point out few are more closely politically aligned with the 1980 American-Iran ‘Paris meeting’ electoral coup d’état than Rudy Guiliani (with unanswered questions relating to the coverup) who was subsequently appointed to number 3 at the Department of Justice, more on Guilianni a bit further, and MEK ally Tom Ridge is little more than a thug for CHEVRON.

And Armitage resorts to another out and out lie:

“Then we … engaged in a broad effort to try to resettle these people, but we were very unsuccessful in getting them settled in foreign lands….”

In fact, this is little more than lip service to that effect, if only to keep the MEK calm while being held for slaughter as a chit in dealing with the ayatollahs. In the same moment, the other side is played, training and arming select MEK commandos, likely taken over by the Israelis since the Bush era but it would be foolish to rule out Obama’s people have simply re-laundered this program. Meanwhile, the USA, which has resettled Guantanamo inmates around the world, cannot find a way out for the MEK rank and file and lets them rot in the Iraq sun with inadequate food, water, medical and shelter, unarmed while under sporadic attack.

This is how a pawn consisting of 3,000 disarmed dissident Iranians are held as a pawn in the geo-political game of chess Zbigniew Brzezinski has aptly called the ‘Grand Chessboard’ of Central Asia. Iraq can be pilloried in the press for the human rights abuses suffered by 3,000 hostages handed to Iran for extermination, expecting the ayatollahs would do exactly that -exterminate the MEK- if the MEK were delivered to the ayatollahs per Iran’s demands. But if the USA were to approve the MEK handed over in any deal with Iran overcoming the present hostile posture, it would go unnoticed by the western press. On the other hand, suddenly the MEK rank and file could be ‘liberated’ were the USA to find it convenient to reach an accord with MEK leadership for purpose of causing Iran another headache in turning loose a rearmed but clandestine talent pool of anti-ayatollah terror. It would appear the pilot program for this has already been developed and deployed.

Who are the MEK, The Peoples Mujahideen of Iran, Mujahideen-e Khalq, really? With roots in a liberal-left Islam with absolutely rock solid women’s emancipation within that context, the MEK is anathema to the ayatollahs. Those same roots also point to the MEK devoted principles of Islamic social justice. There is a ‘Mahdi’ (Shia Islam messiah) cult element in its leadership with associated narcissism that keeps the MEK rank and file in a trap of leadership making poor strategic decisions based in a fanatical hate.

The MEK leadership has allied itself with Bush era neo-conservatives, notably Rudy Guiliani. Everything you need to know about Rudy Guiliani since he served as number 3 at Department of Justice following the 1980 coup d’état (October Surprise), can be summed up in one event: His stout obstruction of any investigation into the building that died of fright on 9/11.

Of course it cannot hurt to point out here, the CHEVRON CEO from 1989 to 1999, Kenneth Derr, together with a who’s who of neo-con power brokers and professional spooks sat together on Guiliani’s presidential committee, including but not limited to: Dick ThornburghDick RiordanT Boone PickensTed Olsen [a Federalist Society founder] Michael Mukasey [a Bush lap dog at DoJ] Carl Icahn [who handed TEXACO gift wrapped to CHEVRON], Walter Hickel [a dead man, like padded voter rolls], Louis Freeh [the former FBI Director, one of many who refuse to come clean on COINTELPRO], to mention just a few notables.

Beyond all this, is a dilemma for both the USA criminals and the ayatollahs in Iran. The 1980 electoral coup d’état in any state records of Iran or any living witnesses in compromised circumstance, could lead to revelations in either or both nations, the ayatollahs having done extended business with America and Israel behind the backs of the Iranian people while lying about the relationship the entire time, and the USA mainstream discovering just how and when democracy had been hijacked by the corporate entities comprising today’s ‘deep state.’

Where there are no winners, is in the MEK rank and file.

On a two occasions I have interviewed MEK survivors in Berlin. In the Spring of 2012, I visited the MEK headquarters in Charlottenberg and spoke with several at length. Again, on 27 August 2013, I met and spoke with an MEK survivor. The raw decay of the human spirit is evidenced in these people played by geo-politics. With the MEK having realized their name is associated with many negatives, in a chance meeting, the young woman lied to me about any affiliation with MEK, as well denying the Charlottenberg headquarters was MEK.

Without calling her a liar, I gently (if that is a possible expression, more like a stiletto with love) brought her around to understand I knew the organization she was soliciting donations for was MEK, no matter they had changed the name and added a platform point of being supportive of all the political prisoners in Iran. I pointed out her organizations American allies were every bit as evil as the ayatollahs and this could not help the rank and file that suffer. I explained the expression ‘to shoot yourself in the foot.’ As she grasped I had a very good understanding of the organization and she’d been exposed as lying without my ever saying so, her hurt was deep, it showed in the eyes.

With parents and a sibling trapped in Iraq, probably many people would lie to get assistance. Will lying help get them out? Probably not. Yet I know from listening to the stories of MEK in my previous Charlottenberg encounter, the rank and file are, for the most part, social justice motivated, real human beings with emotions. They deeply grieve at the circumstance of their 3,000 parents, brothers, sisters and children trapped in circumstance beyond their control. However this is result the MEK leadership’s narcissism and consequently poor strategic alliances.

This all began with the CIA 60 years ago, and the MEK’s and Iranian people’s worst enemies (CIA) are mentors of the present day MEK commandos and the close friends of the MEK’s American allies represented in Rudy Guilianni.

And so it is, geo-politics corrupts the human spirit and kills the little people in a slow agony, mere pawns in a dirty game played out over decades by the power corrupt.

In the cynicism that makes up western democracies geopolitics, it would appear the MeK had since been removed from the USA’s list of terror organizations for the reason MeK had agreed [blackmailed, most likely] to serve as state sponsored assassins in Iran on behalf of Israel and Israel’s neo-conservative and neo-liberal American sponsors.

The Company by Robert Littell is a well written novel and masterwork of revisionist history that comes across as though the events it describes were dictated by the right-wing element of the CIA. This is probably the case.

Allan Dulles is presented as a tireless patriot and gentleman at odds with his real life NAZI sympathies and reputation as a shameless liar who never hesitated to use the agency to further his personal interests, particularly when it came to mass murders protecting his large and intimate ties to United Fruit. The related overthrow of Arbenz in Guatemala is disposed of in a few short sentences, almost as though it were a joke not worth discussing.

The 1956 Hungarian uprising is milked to underscore a  faux concern for CIA officers disputing policy and effects nothing. The Bay of Pigs is written about as the CIA getting burned and having learned. But the real upshot is, the identical CIA shit is going on to this day in Syria.

The JFK hit is passed off on Castro, when this theory had long since lost credit (the book is copyrighted in 2002.) Since, we know JFK was murdered by a team that included former CIA Officer E. Howard Hunt (who confessed before he died) and likely included George Herbert Walker Bush.

The Vatican Bank’s involvement with money laundering is passed off as covering a program for the KGB (Russian spy service) and is tied to Russian spy master Starik arranging the murder of Pope John Paul I. This is certainly possible but unlikely with the Vatican antipathy to communism and competition with Russian Orthodoxy. More likely is CIA with its ties to mafia are the beneficiaries of any such hit. It has the aroma of a smear in a case where presently no one can really know. This may come out at some future date.

France Gary Powers failed U2 flight over the Soviet Union is credited to a Soviet shoot down when in fact former Pentagon liaison to the CIA, Colonel L Fletcher Prouty, had made a strong case for the U2 having been sabotaged by elements within the CIA opposed to any Eisenhower-Khrushchev peace initiative.

The author, Robert Littell, seems to believe there is not an Afghan in existence that doesn’t use dope. The purpose in this appears to be painting the anti-Soviet Islamic fighters as degenerates, a sort of ‘what the CIA had to work with in Afghanistan was less than ideal’ argument. He stereotypes Afghans as superstitious stoners. Littell is pretty clearly Islamophobic. A related stereotype is repeatedly pushing a mean spirited view of widespread Russian anti-Semitism. Likely connected to this, the author appears to be in love with MOSSAD.

Littell blames Reagan’s infirm mentality for policies that led to the CIA alliance with fundamentalist Islam in Afghanistan, which in actuality included Osama bin Laden, little different to the USA’s de facto alliance with Al Nusra (Al Qaida) in today’s Syria. But you know what? Reagan never ran operations in the field for the CIA, the CIA draws up the plans they run in the field, and get them signed off by the ‘higher’ authority, usually with deniability built in, to protect the politicians. This is touched on, in relation to Iran-Contra, emphasizing ‘touched’ and nothing more. The rationale is ‘if it’s good for the USA, no crime is too great’ and the author approaches the more recent decades controversies with an attitude of ‘we just won’t talk about the big crimes’ which applies to the overthrow of Salvadore Allende to book’s end.

It is admitted numerous CIA employees applauded the assassination of Bobby Kennedy and then reiterated Sirhan Sirhan was the assassin, which has been for a long time questionable. In fact present day psychologists’ exams of Sirhan suggest a Manchurian candidate type personality taking the fall for the Kennedy hit per the CIA’s known (and swept under cover) project MONARCH.

By now the novel has become crappy because of pace that leaves large gaps in the history of the CIA and associated crimes. There is a disingenuous story of Islamist radicals in Afghanistan kidnapping a CIA officer to blackmail the USA into providing the Islamist stinger missiles when in fact the USA was bending over backwards arming the Islamists in the anti-Soviet era Afghanistan. Later on the Stinger fiasco is passed off solely on Bill Casey manipulating a mentally infirm Reagan as though no one else had a say or influenced this during the period in factual history that saw Al Qaida created as a result of a CIA-Islamist alliance. We know in real life Al Qaida was willing to take the Americans up on training and equipment in pursuit of  a common enemy which began in Afghanistan, then Al Qaida turned on the Americans that had supported them is evident in post Soviet Afghanistan, subsequently Iraq and will come true again in Syria.

The KGB is implicated in allowing American Stinger anti-aircraft missiles to pass through to Islamists to hasten the wars end, convincing the Soviet military brass the KGB assessment Afghanistan is an un-winnable war is correct, sooner rather than later.  This is an improbable smear of the Russians, implicating their intelligence service in murder of their own soldiers by a novel appearing ghostwritten for the CIA. This seems more of a projection of what are actually American behaviors; a CIA representing corporate colonial interests, in real history routinely implicated in the deaths of American soldiers with policies favoring the likes of Chevron and Exxon-Mobile over any real interests of the American people.

A blatant propaganda move is having the novel’s Islamist character Ibrahim admire Iraq’s Saddam and Syria’s Assad, both leaders of Arab secular states and sworn enemies of Islamists movements. This ploy appears to be attempting propping up the known disinformation Saddam harbored Al Qaida and the novels date [2002] supports the idea. This is followed on with the Soviets having a plan to turn the fundamentalists on the USA, a far fetched smear considering the Islamists already considered the USA to be a total Satan with no extra motivation necessary at all, to go after the USA when any partnership of convenience is past. The book appears to follow a line proposing if you can smear the Russians to make it appear as though the CIA’s fucked-up results are result of someone else’s bad intentions, why pass up a chance? Littell is a real creep.

George Herbert Walker Bush, a prime criminal player in real CIA history throughout the 2nd half of this nearly 1,300 page ode to right wing fascism in the agency, stays out of its pages as though he were hiding. That’s no accident.

The Soviet master spy Starik, who runs his USA operations from Moscow, is smeared as a pedophile, in detail, over several portions of several chapters. One wonders if this is the only means of retribution the CIA can aim at its longtime nemesis. One gets a sense the book’s author has his own fascination with child pornography and related experience. The real irony of this last point is set in the retrospective of a historical hypocrisy; as we know from subsequent factual CIA ties to pedophilia with the banned Discovery Channel documentary ‘Conspiracy of Silence’ exposing one time CIA director George Herbert Walker Bush has long standing ties to pedophilia via the Reagan era and the ‘Boys Town’ child prostitution ring, followed on by Penn State’s pedophile scandal having ties to the George Herbert Walker Bush White House via his “One Thousand Points of Light.” Only ‘The Exiles’ (the news with jokes) has had the balls to write about these sort of hard facts; in real life a determined investigating prosecutor gone missing with his laptop turned up in a river (with hard drive removed.) All of this on top of the CIA project MONARCH torture program. So it is evident in the larger picture we are dealing with, ‘The Company’ is nothing close to an accurate portrayal of CIA in what is billed as a close to real CIA history set in fiction.

The book ends bashing Russia in every sense one could imagine, from physically filthy to rabidly anti-Semitic. A highly placed CIA official goes outside his chain of command to enlist MOSSAD into foiling the coup attempt against Gorbachev because President George Herbert Walker Bush (who shows up in a whitewash at the end) is politically hogtied and reduced to letter writing in matters of dealing with Russian internal affairs of state. What a joke. George Herbert Walker Bush would never pass up participating in a world class crime perpetrated by CIA. The by far more likely (real) story would be, Bush’s CIA encouraging the attempted putsch which indeed did have the ultimate effect of sending Gorbachev packing but saw him replaced by Yeltsen as opposed to the plotters. Why? Because under Yeltsen, Russia could be looted, weakened, and eventually absorbed into the western corporate monopoly of subservient nations, a criminal agenda George Herbert Walker Bush had served his entire career.

In factual historical retrospective, Putin saw exactly what was happening to Russia, stepped in and stopped the nonsense. However one might not like his style and method, Putin has done the Russian people a huge service by clawing Russia back from the oligarchs that indeed did loot Russia after Yeltsen had come to power. If liberal elements suffered as a consequence, is the fault of the west’s rush to take total advantage of a Russia struggling to emerge from the wreckage of the cold war and Putins’ justified distrust of the USA and NATO’s motives.

‘The Company’ is not a work of historical fiction as much as it is a book of lies promoting a carefully crafted, CIA friendly (likely CIA spoon fed)  revision of history, a cover-up of its most egregious crimes. But this is what the CIA most excels at, covering up CIA responsibility for chaos resulting from degenerate and incompetent personalities that have been corrupting the agency for decades. When all is said and done, The Company is a well written and compelling novel for those into believing cold war victory had been in every respect glorious, the end justifies any means, Russians are hypocritical, corrupt, anti-Semitic people by nature and the CIA should be beyond reproach in comparison to KGB. In fact CIA is one of the most criminal organizations ever spawned in the annals of history and has done immeasurable damage to America and the world.

Following this composition, I tossed the book into a Berlin street’s litter bin as a symbolic act. This is hereafter a book you can metaphorically find in the garbage.

The Arab Spring for Dummies, Syria Chemical Weapons edition

21 October 2015 update: a Turkish news outlet reports Turkey had been responsible for a false flag sarin gas attack blamed on Assad, according to two members of the Turkish parliament.

With the new alleged Chemical weapons attacks, RT (Russian TV) sensibly brings in British and American independent expert assessments but far more interesting to me is the fact of France 24 TV pointing the finger (the guy came across as a professional actor, scripted) at the Assad regime for refusing access to an onsite UN inspection team to the chemical attack site. Now, how is it the Assad regime is supposed to grant access to the site that happens to be in rebel controlled suburb of Damascus? Oh, and NO mention of the detail of rebel control of the chemical attack site by France 24, creating the clear impression solely Assad is blocking access. BBC parrots a similar line, BBC at least mentions in passing rebel control but far the greater emphasis is on Assad’s government supposedly denying access to the site they do not control. Then BBC airs a Syrian rebel ‘witness’ interview where the son of two chemical attack victims explains how he heard a bang, came downstairs to discover his parents convulsing and dying from the chemical attack but there is no asking him or questioning how it is he is apparently just fine, healthy and normal following what should have been his immediate and onsite exposure. WTF? I have military chemical weapons training, this is patent bullshit. I also have psychological operations training, and this is what I had just witnessed on BBC. In USA media the New York Times (in print) echoes the French line on Syria. Meanwhile the rebel political leadership in exile states the UN investigating team is welcome to the attack site but there is a complicating detail: they do not control the attack site either. The site is under control of independent Al Qaida aligned rebel brigades, the more effective opposition. But the disingenuous announcement by rebels who do not control the site gives the impression the ‘Syrian opposition’ is cooperating. Assad’s danger in allowing access is provision of mocked up evidence by the ‘opposition.’

On 27 August, the New York Times reports the UN investigating team is allowed to cross the combatant lines to investigate. In al-Nusra controlled area, the investigators come under sniper fire while escorted by Syrian security forces to the area. What is NOT mentioned is they had to leave the area after ½ hour. Real investigating is not going to be possible, and the investigators being allowed access results in the following media show; the New York Times employs a psychological operation where The UN team is reported to have initiated its investigation but never mentioning it had to be aborted in 30 minutes time. Interwoven in the same pages it is an expanded article reporting overwhelming and conclusive proof the Assad  regime has perpetrated the attack. This is classic psychological ploy leaving the reader with subliminal impression conflating the UN investigation with finding of Assad regime guilt. Reinforcing this mocked up conclusion are photo layouts describing the horror of the innocents experience. It will never be reported by the Times previous UN investigation in a separate attack had pointed to the Syrian opposition. And the rush is on to military intervention before any professional, impartial conclusions can be drawn by a forensics team only scratching the surface of what had actually happened.

On 28 August INTELNEWS.ORG reports Israel will supply evidence Assad’s brother commanded the Syrian army unit that perpetrated the chemical attack. That is really quite convenient. So, why aren’t they supplying this ‘evidence’ as an exhibit for the UN team in a proper investigation as opposed to giving it to the USA, Britain and France as justification to launch military operations at Syria? Apparently because the UN team has no mandate to determine responsibility, only whether chemicals had been used, also very convenient since a previous investigation had pointed to the rebels as the culprit. And with the Israelis coughing up the evidence, Germany, who is historically lukewarm when it comes to blatant NATO chicaneries, will roll over and play dead on the issue, these people think out every angle.

On 29 August British prime minister David Cameron, citing intelligence, admits to parliament there is no conclusive evidence Assad’s government perpetrated the attack. This is revealing of Obama’s political lies insisting the Americans are in possession of conclusive proof of Assad regime guilt, as the British and Americans share intelligence. Meanwhile the British parliament refuses to back any attack on Syria and Cameron’s hands are tied.

On 30 August, Obama has by now, with international support among his allies either crumbling or flat out rebelling, backed off to a point of ‘reiterating’ a ‘red line’ with a ‘wrist slap’ attack to ‘remind’ Assad he dare not exercise impunity and immediate regime change is off the table. So if indeed the chemical attack were a ruse by, or on behalf of, the so-called ‘rebels’, it has been somewhat successful were any attack to go forward and this is begging for more chemical attacks, benefiting Al Nusra (Al Qaida.) France continues to back Obama on attacking Syria.

Late developments on 30 August  (Central Europe Time) include NATO Secretary General ‘fog’ Rasmussen announcing (it would seem with much regret) NATO has dropped out; meaning a majority of NATO nations have blocked involvement and the USA-France neo-liberal alliance of Obama-Hollande are increasingly isolated, the question remains of whether France will be reduced to cheerleader to a USA solo-action.

No mention is made in mainstream western media of American government intelligence sources have leaked the news the secret report behind John Kerry’s ‘proof’ is by no means conclusive and American professionals’ assessment pointing to possible rebel responsibility for the chemical attack had been quashed and excluded from two reports, the secret report as well as John Kerry’s whitewash fed to the western press.

No mainstream western press mentions Israeli intelligence is responsible for the ‘electronic intercepts’ pinning the attack on Assad’s brother commanding the accused Syrian army units, but it comes out elsewhere this was ‘low level’ chatter and in no way can be traced back up the chain of command to Syrian army commanders, directly contradicting Kerry. Israel meanwhile claims it is completely uninvolved .. and so will be ‘defending itself’ and testing the USA commitment to defend Isarel were the fighting to escalate regionally. This raises a distinct possibility of a MOSSAD operation where Israeli agents staged a conversation for intercept. Why? Israeli prime minister ‘Bibi’ Netanyahu has been trying for years to get the USA’s backing for a war with Iran without result. With Iran committed to the defense of Syria, this may be a strategy the Israeli right wing has implemented.

By 31 August, Obama has been reduced to a snarling dog with its tail between legs, stating he has decided Syria “should” be attacked, avoiding the more certain “will” be attacked and has passed the buck to congress.  If congress says no, then he is off the hook for his big mouth drawing ‘red lines.’ The only question after is said and done would be if, and when, the next chemical attack blamed on Assad will be launched to rekindle world outrage in pursuit of covert agenda.

Question, would the Assad regime launch a chemical attack when they have the recent momentum rolling back the rebels, and a chemical attack by his regime is likely to bring in NATO air power on the side of the rebels? It makes no sense, as pointed out by an RT guest expert.

On the other hand, would Al Nusra (Al Qaida) stage a chemical attack if it would bring NATO fire power in supporting their forces? This is by far more likely, also pointed out by the RT guest expert. If there were a resulting attack by the USA on Assad, this would encourage more chemical incidents.

A third and the most likely option is, one or more unscrupulous intelligence agencies perpetrating a false flag attack to undermine Assad’s position. With the reaction coming from the USA and France, likely another attack could be staged.

Meanwhile, as NATO members USA, France and Britain’s media whip up a frenzy demanding Assad be punished and point to the very frenzy they are whipping up as international furor demanding Assad be punished with severe and rapid action. Russia calls for a through and impartial investigation but this item not mentioned in western press which rather points to Russia as stonewalling any action to punish a chemical weapons criminal Assad.

The Russian strategy appears to be simply present the facts; on account of the USA & NATO is so entirely corrupt in these matters, facts are all that should be necessary to counter the criminal policies of the west in the public forum. The USA and NATO strategy is to pound the public with lies in the belief if you misstate the facts often enough, misstated facts will become the public reality.

The Logical Conclusion:

Western media is under control of professional intelligence agency information operations or their corporate equals, milking anti-Assad propaganda generated by a false flag attack blaming Assad for an act perpetrated from territory controlled by Al Nusra (Al Qaida.) The practical result is, NATO members USA, Britain and France are allied with Al Nusra (Al Qaida.) The USA also has played in this alliance with opening the door to, and then looking the other way as Arab allies (Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait) have shoveled weapons to Al Nusra (Al Qaida.) Meanwhile MOSSAD and CIA paramilitary are training Syrian Rebel commandos in elite special operations skills in the border area with Jordan and NATO’s Turkey is onboard as a CIA staging route for logistical support importing weapons for the rebels for the past two years at minimum. Jordan plays in this role as well.

The neo-liberal/neo-conservative alliance, Obama, Cameron, Hollande, is knocking off Syria as a stepping stone to knocking off Iran and that is Israel’s short term obsession in the affair. A larger, joint neo-liberal/neo-conservative goal is isolating and encircling Russia who does not play to the advantage of western corporate board interests. The marionettes pulling the strings? Bilderberg, Council on Foreign Relations and a whole plethora of related, corporate think-tanks propped up with $$ from corporate boards with names across the spectrum of the alphabet; Chevron, Monsanto, Dow Chemical, Du Pont, Martin-Marietta, Lockheed, British Petroleum, Exxon-Mobile, Royal Dutch Shell, Halliburton, Raytheon, General Dynamics, and the list could go on for page after page.

The Illogical Conclusion:

Somehow these people believe they can play a colonial game that has gone on for centuries as though the world had not come into a nuclear age. Certain western democracies’ intelligence agencies stand by and/or participate in murder innocents by chemical attack without a qualm and/or allow it to be perpetrated by Al Qaida (and if necessary blamed on Al Qaida, a fallback position) in pursuit of corporate pecuniary interests. In the name of ‘human rights’ and ‘democracy’ 100,000 and more Syrians have been killed by fanning the flames of sectarian violence and pouring weapons into a deliberately inflamed inter-communal circumstance of violence and somehow this is supposedly a necessary thing for our world, our way of life and the pursuit of civilization.

The Consequence

The neo-conservative vision of Armageddon comes out the winner if this is allowed to go on. The Sunni ‘Awakening Councils’ created and trained in Iraq by David Patraeus that morphed into Al Qaida brigades and are presently represented in Al Nusra, will almost certainly prevail in Syria, setting off a second civil war there that absolutely will require intervention. Al Nusra veterans are returning to Iraq and intensifying the civil war there; set up by none other than David Patraeus, as his Christian Al Qaida “Officers Christian Fellowship” controlling the Pentagon pits their religious vision of an end times world conflagration set in the Middle East against a radicalized Shia Islam’s ayatollahs vision of end times world conflagration set in the middle east, each with a returning messiah. It doesn’t get much more stupid than this folks. All on account of greed, narcissism, resultant fanaticism and its associated lust for power. Meanwhile, Germany, the one NATO country that has seen similar sort of degenerate madness control its past, has leadership more concerned with selling tanks to Indonesia than making public any honest intelligence that should stop this madness in its tracks. Merkel is exceedingly shallow, myopic, cowardly and narcissistic, in short everything the world does NOT need in a leader (which, more or less, describes German politicians as a class.)

In this circumstance, Russia is not going to bite on Obama’s push for a drastic reduction in nuclear weapons on account of when Medvedev was president, Medvedev offered civil compromises based in solid principles of international law to NATO & the USA, and NATO & the USA gave him the middle finger; stabbed Medvedev in the back on Libya, the USA’s international Chamber of Commerce has been hijacking the former Soviet republics economies and the likes of Exxon-Mobile personalities, Kissinger and Cheney, sit on the boards of directors. On top of this, you had CIA manipulating Russian ‘human rights’ and ‘democracy’ organizations, resulting in Putin’s clampdown on liberalizing elements in Russia. Medvedev was the good cop. Now you’ve got Putin with all of the backbone needed to be the bad cop, and it is our western democracies own goddamn fault, we’re fucked so long as our leaders continue this direction, many millions will die and that’s the end of today’s story.

Author’s note: This article rejects the ‘incorporation’ legal doctrine that holds the first ten amendments were originally limited to persons in the federal jurisdiction. The reason is, this doctrine is patent bs which ignores the ‘supremacy clause’ of the USA constitution’s article six. To believe in the ‘incorporation’ doctrine is to hold a viewpoint constitution does not mean what it says. No less a personage than the great Justice Brennan believed the doctrine was patently false. The likely origin of the doctrine was with ‘federalist’ jurists who never accepted the the outcome of our constitutional convention and the deal crafted where a ‘bill of rights’ was required to be presented for ratification to get ‘anti-federalist’ support for our constitution’s adoption and making it out of the convention-

There is an urban legend circulated by faux historians on the progressive left, including Consortium News & journalist Robert Parry, promoting a revisionist history undermining our core civil liberties with a smear attacking the religious right’s historical revisionism with its own historical revisionism. This urban legend claims anti-federalist philosophy is rooted in setting out to protect slavery by weakening the provisions for an American central government. The argument on the left is as distorted as the Tea Party revisionism it attacks. Anyone approaching our foundational law should recall Oscar Wilde’s maxim “Truth is seldom pure and never simple” .. and such is the case with our nation’s founding law at the time of its creation.

The noted revisionism of the left holds, in short, that American anti-federalist sentiment at the time of the United States founding law’s enactment was primarily pro-slavery motivated. This patent bullshit distorts the anti-federalists every bit as much as the religious right distorts the constitution per se. In some of these variations of faux history coming from the left, the 2nd Amendment (right of the people to bear arms) is construed to be, or conflated with states rights in an ante-bellum, pro-southern slavery context. To this end, I will point out the 2nd amendment had/has little to do with states rights and propping up slavery. The word “state” in the 2nd Amendment “A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state” is used (as it was meant to be used) in a singular, greater sense of ‘nation’ as the term ‘state’ is commonly known and used in international relations to this day. The 2nd Amendment’s “a free state”  in the collective sense of the greater nation contrasts to the plural states (or plural sense of states) in the context of individual American states as is specific in the 6th & the 10th amendments; with some behaviors enforced on all states, such as the 6th Amendment’s “In all criminal prosecutions, the accused shall enjoy the right to a speedy and public trial, by an impartial jury of the State and district wherein the crime shall have been committed…”  (a plural sense of any state, effectively all states are to be bound by this) and also limited powers reserved to the states, per a clearly logical placement and context in the 10th Amendment after the constitutions ‘enumerated’ and ‘unenumerated’ rights had been secured to all citizens in the 9th Amendment’s “The enumeration in the Constitution, of certain rights, shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people”, the laws of individual states notwithstanding. The 10th Amendment language “The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people” in fact reinforces our constitution’s Article Six ‘supremacy clause’ language “This Constitution, and the Laws of the United States which shall be made in Pursuance thereof; and all Treaties made, or which shall be made, under the Authority of the United States, shall be the supreme Law of the Land; and the Judges in every State shall be bound thereby, any Thing in the Constitution or Laws of any State to the Contrary notwithstanding” and puts the lie to anyone who would hold our ‘Bill of Rights’ was intended to undermine our constitution per se (also putting the lie anyone holding the so-called ‘Bill of Rights’ did not originally apply to states outside federal jurisdiction, i.e. the so-called ‘incorporation’ doctrine or people who think the language in Article Six does not mean what it plainly says.)

The reason the post Civil War 14th Amendment was necessary, had been to insure every southern state would be required to apply equal protection of the laws to Blacks as citizens, or those Blacks who were previously exempted by their status as slaves. In its original intent, the 14th Amendment was meant to extend the Bill of Rights protections to a targeted class (Blacks.)

Because of confusion of ‘state’ as a nation with ‘state’ as a state in these United States, in the American English dialect, ‘nation’ had come to replace ‘state’ in a sense of federal or national. However this was not yet the case at the time of our founding law being written; and the founding context of the language of the 2nd Amendment is a singular ‘people’ and refers to a ‘state’ in the sense of the United States as a nation, people of all the states inclusive. Attempts to conflate the greater ‘state’ in the 2nd Amendment with the individual ‘states’ comprising our nation is patently dishonest.

That gun violence has not been intelligently addressed in the USA is because this issue has never been honestly addressed. A ‘militia of the people’ as it exists in law and fact because of the 2nd Amendment, could be somewhat regulated in the philosophy of ‘balances’ by defining (from history) under what circumstance the people may ‘keep’ and ‘bear’ their arms. We’re not there yet.

None of the 1st through 8th amendments protection of the rights of individual citizens had much of anything to do with Blacks of the founding era, as they were not enfranchised citizens as a class, and the facts are at odds with left’s popular myth (urban legend) that somehow the anti-federalists got their way with undermining a federalist desire of an all powerful central government in the constitution on account of slavery. In the end, what the anti-federalists got were checks meant to result in balances, also known as the Bill of Rights.

I somehow doubt the anti-federalist 4th amendment concerning privacy in one’s papers had anything to do with propping up slavery, a given example of motivation in the anti-federalists’ actual intentions. Or other rights, for instance prohibition of a bill of attainder. Or the right to confront your accuser. To name but a few provisions of the first through eighth amendments authored by the anti-federalists.

If our “Bill of Rights” had been insisted upon by anti-federalists, and it most certainly was, the entire world, it would be implied by this specious and twisted revisionism coming from the left, is indebted to slaveholders for the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights inspired by the American Bill of Rights and certain of its provisions. Parry’s argument is beyond irony, it is patent nonsense. The fact is, slaveholders were a minority of the Americans with anti-federalist sentiment, and a minority in the geographic south as well, and this is where the left’s ‘equating anti-federalists with slavery’ crotch slams into the bicycle bar:

Anti-federalism was by no means an exclusive southern phenomena related to a minority of slave owners but was a general angst of the new republic’s citizenry from Georgia to New Hampshire. This angst primarily (and majority ratified) concerns historic abuses of power by central governments traced in the American tradition to the Magna Charta particularly and the European powers’ abuses generally. The right of the ‘people’ (all inclusive) to bear arms was deemed necessary as a check of last resort on a central government and was intended to be just that, a check, and has nothing to do with states rights and little to do with individual states’ militias per se. However some slave owning, southern anti-federalists might have wished a different outcome, the 2nd Amendment is NOT about slavery outside of those minority ante-bellum slave owners who would misconstrue it as such, and please note anti-federalist authored ‘Bill of Rights” specifies core civil liberties of citizens under assault by today’s federal (central) government with XKeyScore. This is clear.

The anti-federalist amendments were passed (ratified) by northern states with populations opposed to slavery, not only a minority of southern slave owners among the southerners per se, a truly small minority opposed to federalism for personal pecuniary interests. The greater majority of the people, north and south, were of anti-federalist sentiment for reasons having little to with slavery and greatly to do with historic abuses of the larger citizenry by central governments.

Insofar as the insights held by our anti-federalist founders as enumerated in the Bill of Rights, Edward Snowden’s revelations are evidence prima facie of why strong central governments were mistrusted across the spectrum by the American people at the time of our founding. The founders were not stupid but well educated in history and forward looking for the most part. The anti-federalists were largely about looking forward to a Snowden circumstance (having to do with protecting us from out of control central government), the Bill of Rights was not about protecting slave owners.

In fact the anti-federalist founders across the board, north and south, were so certain their convictions would be upheld by the people, they put their money where their mouth is so to speak, and allowed the constitution out of convention while settling for a separate ratification of the first ten amendments, subsequently vindicated in result across the spectrum of American society, with adoption by the larger American people of our Bill of Rights. In fact, the prescience of our nation’s founding generation points directly to today’s central government having set out to undermine where they can, and flat out cancel, when possible, the checks our anti-federalist founders meant to secure us from the tyranny of a police state.

A veteran journalist catching and spreading this historical revisionism virus, undermining those clauses of our constitution checking abuses of power by central government, suggests to me (dis)information operations and questions whether Parry actually serves journalism or an altogether different ‘agency.’ Reading a Robert Parry article at Consortium News can be as disgusting as reading the patent lies of the neo-liberal New York Times.

The Arab Spring for Dummies, Egypt & the Generals

The neo-liberal New York Times is plastered with photos and gruesomely detailed stories of Egypt this week, roundly condemning the violence initiated by the generals in the wake of what the political cartoonists are depicting as ‘the road to democracy’ paved with bodies by tank and machine guns.

This is all just fine reporting except for the absolute hypocrisy and complete masking of the fact of how this latest episode of carnage came about in the Middle East. Here is a retrospective on the so-called ‘Arab Spring’ in Egypt:

Known CIA front ‘Freedom House’ (ever since rogue CIA officer Phillip Agee, among others, had fingered the organization) and associated organizations such as the National Democratic Institute, had been training the leadership of the initial secular and student youth movement, with apple technology for revolutionary coordinating purposes. Meanwhile, the Mubarak regime had acquired all the necessary electronic snooping technology to analyze, identify and isolate the secular movement’s leadership, they were rounded up and sent off to USA torture darling Omar Sulieman’s jails. The Muslim Brotherhood stepped in and hijacked the revolution they had initially refused to support, together with taking over the new constitutional process, perfectly happy the secular movement had been marginalized for them. The Brotherhood now wrote the secular movement out of the ‘democratic’ process with a biased constitution and by speeding an election other interested parties had no time to regroup and properly prepare for, and Morsi won in this biased electoral circumstance by the skin of an onion.

To claim Morsi was freely elected overlooks the western meddling that backfired on democracy in Egypt from day one.

To top it off, Morsi lacked the political maturity to include ‘pluralism’ in the emerging ‘democratic’ model, broke promise after promise relating to restraint and in the process, and wrote inclusiveness out of the equation. Of course all of this is just dandy if you are fundamentalist. But the consequence was another revolution in the works with mass anti-Morsi demonstrations gaining daily momentum. Morsi refused the generals demands he meet and make concessions to the secular opposition in a spirit of inclusiveness for the people who’d been cheated throughout the process.

If, by chance, the generals stepped in for less than democratic reasons, it  cannot overlook the preceding facts and why there actually is much popular support for the so-called ‘coup.’ The generals stepping in could be called a coup, I suppose, if the CIA manipulation that backfired and put the Brotherhood in office could be called a free and fair election (it certainly was not.)

The upshot is, now the Muslim Brotherhood rank and file membership sees themselves as deposed winners of the democratic process despite the facts and the outcome points to civil disturbance for quite some time. Perfect for those who wish to see Egypt weakened, divided and Muslims killing Muslims.

For the conspiracy buffs, Muslim on Muslim violence having now overtaken everywhere the western democracies have been heavily involved in backing the ‘spring’ movements, Libya, Syria, and now Egypt, well, it fits nicely with David Patraeus having set up civil war in Iraq. Certainly neo-conservative Christian dominionists (read crusaders) are sitting at home in front of FOX NEWS cheering on the sand niggers killing the ragheads and loving every drop of Muslim blood spilled. But there could be a more benign explanation:

The CIA is sorely incompetent and the present circumstance is little more than an episode of ‘spy versus spy’ in Mad Magazine, where a ‘democratic’ bomb exploded in the CIA deliveryman’s face; also known as beware of Americans bearing gifts of ‘democracy’

At a rally in Berlin

Courage is contagious. Well, apparently not. Greens member of Parliament Hans Christian Stroebel was present and gave an eloquent speech on behalf of Snowden (which I applaud) but when I handed him my business card while stating “I’ve sent your office many mails” and he saw my name, his smile disappeared and his eloquence turned to stone silence. In fact it seemed as though I’d slapped him, judging from his expression. He turned away from me 90 degrees but then nodded as though it were the only acknowledgement he were able to make.

It would appear the contagion of courage does not extend to a politician in public forum when faced with his own government’s complicity in international crimes and murder rings tied to CIA, JSOC & MOSSAD allowed to run free in Germany. My many mails to the office of Stroebel have gone unanswered but I had ascertained the mails have been received and Stroebel’s office is in receipt of the information I have forwarded over many months, prior to our meeting at the Snowden rally in Berlin (a meeting Stroebel did not anticipate.) I hate to think it is ok for myself to be hunted in Germany as an anonymous person and only famous whistle-blowers are deserving of any public defense.

Other reflections on the rally

Why only 200 people at this rally in a city and nation widely supportive of Snowden? I don’t know. Perhaps it is because it was planned and implemented on short notice and limited information channels (suppositions.) If so, it should have been more carefully thought out.

When media can state only a couple of hundred people were present, it undermines the reality of German support for Snowden. Consider Parliament has been unable to keep its normal vacation schedule on account of issues raised in Snowden’s case, including a backlash against the Merkel government’s resistance to providing Snowden asylum. Maybe a hasty and ill attended rally is not such a good idea when lying politicians toeing the American anti-Snowden line can use such a rally to point out ‘how little support there is’

More possibilities

I agree Bradley Manning was illegally treated in a USA system with only contempt for its own rule of law. Do I admire Manning? No. Other than his leaking the war crime video of the helicopter attack on the Reuter’s journalists, and certain cables, I cannot support his leaks which have caused incalculable damage around the world. Jeremy Scahill has made sensible use of the ‘cables’ leak (in his work ‘Dirty Wars’) but the cables were not critical to his documentation of American international crimes. Most of the cables leaked have served little purpose. Manning should be, on account of the U.S. military’s flagrant disregard of Manning’s rights, sentenced to time served and given a bad conduct discharge. Many intelligent people who support Snowden 100%, especially (but not only) conservatives, would be turned off by a rally associated with Manning.

In the case of association with Assange, with his acute narcissism coupled to self-aggrandizing behaviors, compulsive lying and beneath amateur intelligence skills, the problem is only compounded. Any Julian Assange association would seriously turn off many people who otherwise would back Snowden. I hope Snowden is able to sort this sooner rather than later and is able to shed WikiLeaks as a support mechanism (he’s had few, perhaps no other options) when it is altogether possible his 24-7 British ‘legal expert’ companion provided by WikiLeaks is MI6.

Meanwhile, a good strategic plan for liberal supporters of Snowden would be to make his case ‘stands alone’ in event of support rallies, to solidify conservative support (trying to gently point out here to the left, not all conservatives are tea party froot-loops but to get them supporting you, you must take into account some ‘principles motivated’ values that are not identical to your own)
