A slightly differing version of this article has been picked up and run at the online magazine ‘Russia Insider.’ This edition reflects subsequent updates

Anyone who believes VICE isn’t mainstream news should be aware Rupert Murdoch pushed $70 million of his money into buying a piece of the VICE action (buying his kid a seat on the VICE board of directors.) In a piece worthy of Murdoch’s British tabloid ‘The Sun on Sunday’ the public is treated to a rank psy-ops piece:

The 328-page report said there was a “strong probability” the Russian intelligence agency (FSB) directed two men to poison Litvinenko in London, and that this operation was “probably” sanctioned by then FSB head Nikolai Patrushev and Russian President Vladimir Putin

Yep, trust VICE to roll over for the MI6 murder novel at the snap of a neocon finger, with no critical exam of the wider facts surrounding Alexander Litvinenko’s death. The most remarkable words in the British report blaming the Kremlin and Putin are “probability” and “probably.” Probability and probably are NOT evidence but rather spinning an inescapable admission there is no hard evidence backing the accusations. So it is, the west ups the ante in its demonizing Vladimir Putin with sham report per rank propaganda purposes (recalling the Dutch investigation of MH 17.)

This case has always smelled to high heaven. Former FSB officer Litvinenko had all the wrong friends/trusted all the wrong people. As sloppy as the hit on him was, people the British have an ax to grind with (Russians) are purportedly to blame, but Litvinenko’s MI6 employer should be every bit as suspect as anyone.

Professional standards require intelligence professionals to lie, hide information, or use covert tactics to protect their “cover,” access, sources, and responsibilities. The Central Intelligence Agency [as well, MI6] expects, teaches, encourages, and controls these tactics so that the lies are consistent and supported (“backstopped”). The CIA [as well, MI6] expects intelligence officers to teach others to lie, deceive, steal, launder money, and perform a variety of other activities [such as ‘psy-ops’ or information operations] that would certainly be illegal if practiced in the United States [or Britain]. They call these tactics “tradecraft,” and intelligence officers practice them in all the world’s intelligence services”

A case can be made the preponderance of circumstantial evidence points to the opposite direction of the (heavily influenced by MI6) British report’s conclusion.

More likely Litvinenko’s *truly fatal* mistake was to begin working with Spanish authorities on breaking down the illicit heroin trade at a time when a British ambassador who had been recently fired subsequently penned an essay ‘Britain protecting the biggest heroin crop of all time’ coinciding with revelations both CIA & MI6 had been paying millions in off-record cash to the Karzai government in Kabul (noting Hamid Karzai’s brother, Wali, was both; renting a large compound to the CIA and concurrently playing kingpin in Afghanistan’s heroin trade) .. even as Russia’s anti-heroin efforts are undermined by NATO:

Meanwhile, the British ambassador would appear to have been sent packing for investigating the problem from neighboring Uzbekistan. It is interesting to note his linking the murdered former Russian anti-corruption investigator Alexander Letvinenko to uncovering the Afghan heroin pipeline to St Petersburg… a murder blamed in popular media on Russia with no critical exam whatsoever of Litvinenko’s subsequent MI6 connections in this regard.

A CIA/MI6 joint venture? After, (video, above) the Russians’ high visibility whistle-blowing, there is grudging (and minimal) actions by NATO, busting just a few labs out of hundreds and ONLY those labs it would seem are not under the CIA’s protection. The southwest of Afghanistan is the poppy region where the USA and British military had taken a ‘hands off’ attitude and done little to nothing to address the problem. Any drug interdiction program efforts had been initiated against only THOSE OPUIM FARMERS WHO DO BUSINESS WITH THE TALIBAN, or 15% of the labs and traffickers. As the USA wound down the American military involvement, it is clear the problem had never been honestly addressed.

Again, Litvinenko’s fatal mistake likely had been to concurrently cooperate with Spanish intelligence on Russian mafia, bringing him too close to his expertise on the Afghan heroin pipeline. That MI6 may have been the actual perpetrator of Litvenenko’s murder is almost a certainty, with MI6 having been identified as piling ‘off the record’ cash to the government of Karzai and its known close connections to heroin trafficking. The product can’t be moved to Russia (ultimately via Russian mafia on the St Petersburg end) by the Americans and British without cooperation bought from the Afghans at the source, again recalling Hamid Karzai’s brother, Wali, was both; renting a large compound to the CIA and concurrently playing kingpin in Afghanistan’s heroin trade. So Litvinenko easily could have been killed by his MI6 employer with Putin blamed as a matter of frosting on the intelligence agency hit. May as well get some gain when embarrassing circumstance requires the killing of your own agent. In the close alternative scenario, MI6 had debriefed Litvinenko with an eye to murdering him in the initial plan; when they’d hired the former FSB anti-corruption expert with entirely too much knowledge of the Russian end of the so-called ‘St Petersburg pipeline.’ At the end of the day, it come down to western intelligence complicity in the Afghan heroin trade is old news

“I don’t believe for a second that the Russian authorities were involved. The sentence [report’s findings] is a set-up to provide more bad publicity against the Russian government. The Russians had no reason to want Alexander dead. My brother was not a spy, he was more like a policeman. He was in the FSB but he worked against organised crime, murders, arms trafficking, stuff like that.

“He did not know any state secrets or go on any special missions. It is the Western media that have called him a spy. He [Alexander Litvinenko] had already started to get in touch with old friends and would have gone back [to Russia] in due course. My father and I are sure that the Russian authorities are not involved. It’s all a set-up to put pressure on the Russian government.

“Why else would the court be called to hold this inquiry only after 10 years?”Maxim Litvinenko

Relating to the fact we’re entering the 2016 elections cycle, it does NOT bode well to entertain the year and a half of upcoming political soap-opera en route to a preordained conclusion; your vote will not mean shit in an insiders’ culture-club where the Generals at the Pentagon & NATO are pushing us into military confrontation with Russia, sociopaths a step above the more typical organized crime run the international financial system that controls your local bank, international narcotics traffickers control the ‘special activities’ division of, and select who will actually run the CIA, in a political era where it can be plausibly stated the Department of Defense counts your vote (its a ‘software’ issue) and the FBI will NOT investigate cabinet level crime, including their boss or the Attorney General’s refusal to bring prosecutions concerning egregious violations of our foundational law at every department in all branches of government. This is what ‘globalization’ has accomplished folks.

However it might seem unlikely at first sight, what had brought on this particular diatribe is, Raul Castro stating “Obama is an honest man.”

Alternatively, Obama stating “Hillary would be an excellent President.”

HillaryClinton_

Relating to Hillary Clinton, and I’ve posted up these four paragraphs before, here’s a juicy tidbit not many are aware of, but comes with impeccable journalistic credentials. According to Mother Jones Magazine, in Hillary’s own words, she is under the spiritual tutelage of Doug Coe:

“Coe, she writes, “is a unique presence in Washington: a genuinely loving spiritual mentor and guide to anyone, regardless of party or faith, who wants to deepen his or her relationship with God.”

And according to the excellent investigative reporting of Jeff Sharlet on ‘The Family’, the cult which sponsors the ‘National Prayer Breakfast’, Coe, in his own words, is no stranger to violence in politics:

“Doug Coe offered Pol Pot and Osama bin Laden as men whose commitment to their causes is to be emulated. Preaching on the meaning of Christ’s words, he says, “You know Jesus said ‘You got to put Him before mother-father-brother sister? Hitler, Lenin, Mao, that’s what they taught the kids. Mao even had the kids killing their own mother and father. But it wasn’t murder. It was for building the new nation. The new kingdom”

I’ll add here, Obama isn’t the only proven killer (recalling Obama’s ‘kill list Tuesdays‘ with CIA Director Brennan) to endorse the proven killer (Libya & Syria, particularly, and Arab Spring hit-jobs, generally) that is Hillary:

condi

“Hillary Clinton is someone I’ve known for a long, long time. She’s a patriot. I think she’s doing a lot of the right things. She’s very tough. … and she’s got the right instincts”Condoleezza Rice

Now, returning to Castro performing media fellatio on Obama, I would suppose Castro’s “Obama is an honest man” rationale might have gone something like the following (behind closed doors.)

Castro: You know it was the United Fruit board of directors organized the CIA policy on Cuba since the days of Eisenhower, murdered Kennedy and attempted to blame us.

Obama: I don’t deny it. But you know this cannot ever be acknowledged to the American public, as a matter of fact.

After the meeting, Castro states to the press “Obama is a honest man.”

Whether or not President Castro grasps the inherent contradiction in his statement, that’s geopolitics, folks.

In the meanwhile, it would appear a cold calculation has been adopted; Cuba could not be taken by coercion, and so will be taken instead by cultural and economic co-option.

Also what cannot ever be acknowledged to the public are just a few more salient facts; a religious cult consisting of generals and politicians embedded in NATO has gained control over the tactical nuclear weapons that likely will initiate erasing the Middle-East and Europe from the globe, ‘globalization’ has so integrated the military-industrial complex of the Western democracies to the economies of the world, if wars were to decline and weapons production dramatically slow, it would collapse the world’s economic engine. Nature cannot sustain the ‘sustained development’ economic model in any case and environmental collapse will collapse civilization regardless .. and as the system stands, we only are provided with leadership desperate to keep together what cannot be held together regardless, national constitutions & the rule of law notwithstanding.

And so it is, the greatest bait and switch since the church marketed Jesus, the infamous Black White-Man that is Barack Obama, son of a White intelligence officer, mentored by the CIA, will step aside for a 70 years old criminal religious-conservative posing as a ‘liberal’ who in actuality follows a Bush family adviser-spiritual guru in love with Mao, Hitler and Pol Pot. And in what will be a carefully crafted ‘heads I win, tails you lose’ circumstance or ‘fail-safe’ electoral outcome, Hillary’s likely opponent will be Jeb Bush (or some other ‘family’ man.)

It was mid afternoon on 4 November I was free in Cairo. I was able to amend my original return ticket from India and would be able to catch a plane from Cairo to New York with a plane change at London, on the 6th. I caught a taxi to Giza and checked into a ! Swiss Chalet ! or cheesy imitation thereof, a sort of motel configuration, not too expensive. I laid down and was dead-out until I heard the muezzin calling people to prayer at daybreak, or about 12 hours. It was that kind of sleep where you offload immeasurable amounts of stress. But surrealism apparently doesn’t simply vanish but follows some trips like a con-trail. Or maybe I was just tripping, but here is what I experienced: This ‘chalet’ had a dining room and I was by now thoroughly sick of curried vegetables, the mainstay on my diet for the past six weeks. I wanted red meat. English boiled beef, fine no argument with that. Feta cheese was a treat. But here is what made the journey cartoon just keep going on; the ‘chalet’ dining room had an American ‘Old West’ theme … with waiters dressed in paper-felt cowboy hats with plastic sheriff star pinned to vest and toy revolvers holstered on their hips! This was the very outfit American parents bought for their 10 year old boys and here we were in Giza, Egypt!! I understood I wasn’t hallucinating but still .. face in my palm.

Cowboy

May I take your order?

This was the evening of 5 November. Earlier in the day, I’d been visiting the home of the taxi driver who’d fetched me from the airport and brought me to Giza, his home village. We’d had lunch with his family and he was wanting to know when I’d like to see the pyramids .. Haji Hassan El-Koly was stunned to hear a westerner state, and his daughter nearly fell on the floor laughing at his amazement .. when I’d gestured to the window and said “I see them, they’re there.” It was almost inconceivable to him I was more interested in discovering who the Egyptians of the present were, than going to some presentation or touring any archaeology site. We spent part of the afternoon discussing contemporary Egypt and regional geopolitics, as well he became curious and was asking questions about myself. El-Koly stated he would never forget me on account of my name: “Where the Sun goes down.” He probably never did forget me; I had paid him an honest fare for my trip to & around Giza and return to the Cairo airport .. but then tipped him one inferior quality counterfeit USA $100 bill, courtesy of a Guardian Angel.

Arrival in London (L) from Egypt (R)

At Heathrow in London, I had to clear customs to walk across a street into another concourse, to catch my plane to New York. Two British counter-narcotics officers were waiting for me as I entered the second concourse, they wanted a look inside my carry on day-pack. I had a collection of perfume oils I was returning with, to give to a woman friend. Eight brown glass vials about 3 inches tall and one inch wide, probably seen in some x-ray scanner my pack had been through. Asking me questions about the movie ‘The French Connection” as they pulled out the flat box containing the vials, I merely replied ‘Not everyone’s life fits a movie script.” They sorted soon enough it was oil of musk & other scents and one of them asked “What are you West, some kind of a rat?” And then let me go. I ate a ‘drop into dead sleep over the Atlantic’ pill I HAD smuggled, just for that purpose, and woke up at JFK in New York.

Letter to the De Sousa clan of India

Our bus journey into the foothills began with a pissed off look from a bicyclist we nearly ran over in the flat-lands, not far outside of Delhi. Covered in dirt from the tumble he took to escape being squished like a cockroach by our large tires, he must’ve had that philosophical thought common to the people of that country; wondering what was the omen in the experience, relevant to day that lie ahead. The traffic was incredible; the familiar ‘Lambretta’ of my Vietnam memories, a sort of tricycle pick-up truck with a two-stroke engine belching blue fumes, lots of those intermixed with more conventional (to westerners) sedans and vans, the larger cargo trucks, and buses with so many people in them, commuters were hanging out the open door and sitting on the top. And in the mix of this, too many bicycles to count, as well the many people walking alongside the road, adding to immense bedlam of humanity in motion. And finally we were out of the insane traffic and into the amazing Himalaya foothills, on our journey to Almora, a so-called ‘Hill Station.’

The first thing I noticed was, the pines. The Chir Pine of Northern India…

Chir_Pine

…bears a remarkable resemblance to the Ponderosa Pine of Montana:

Ponderosa

My feeling was a sort of déjà vu. With the same bark and bunch needles, it was an uncanny feeling; knowing I was on the other side of the planet in a forest that looked and felt like home. The trees were the same. Once a fair distance into the hills, our driver pulled out at a roadside parking place, where our cook pulled out his equipment and began preparing an afternoon meal. I wandered off, walking along a path into the trees, simply to feel the ambiance. The forest  was a balm from the intensity of the human experience that is New Delhi.

The cook had long since packed up his gear before everyone had been persuaded the journey should resume … and now, the driver was becoming more and more frenetic as he pushed our bus to the limits it could handle on those many hairpin turns negotiating the unforgiving cliffs as we penetrated deeper into the hills. I knew the score and was sitting up front close to the driver .. the Tibetan had tipped me off to the reason underlying our driver’s near panic. Bandits were operating after dark in the area and we had dallied too long with our late, roadside, lunch. Now night was threatening to overtake us, prior to arrival at our destination. So, if the forest was an uncanny resemblance to Montana in the present, the forest’s characters apparently bore an uncanny resemblance to Montana of the past: when ‘The Wild Bunch’ was still operating. I admit a certain visceral pleasure in Bummer John’s look of redoubled, helpless stress, when he’d asked, and I informed him, of the reasons for our driver’s unnatural hurry.

When we had arrived at Almora, Jasper® & Socket™ had vanished, for the duration of our stay. I had no idea why, then, but being an old intelligence hand, and having made a short study of the possibilities, I can make an informed supposition. A posse must have been after them.

Not long prior to our rendezvous with these characters in 1984, Neil Oram relates an encounter Jasper® had at a nearby baba’s ashram:

At Sri Babaji’s Ashram near Herakhan in the Himalayan foothills, Jasper® and Babaji conversed in demotic Hindi and a part of their conversation went like this:

Babaji: What’s that around your neck?

Jasper®: It’s my Nath beads.

Babaji: You’re not a Nath!

Jasper®: Yes I am.

Babaji: No…you’re a dope dealer from Almora.

Jasper®: No, I’m Ram Giri…a Nath sadhu.

Babaji: No…you’re a dope dealer from Almora.

Jasper®: O.K., forget it. Next life I’ll live all the rules of a Nath sadhu.

Babaji: No, next life…you’ll be a dope dealer with a chai shop.

Jasper®: Alright Baba, the life after that one I’ll be a real Nath yogi.

Babaji: No! In that life also… you’ll be a dope dealer running a chai shop in Almora.

In other words, a classic case of someone’s reputation preceding them.

The highlight of Almora was, the delightful hospitality of a Mr Sharma. An elderly, retired civil servant, he was interesting, well informed, inquisitive and we spent hours in engaging conversation. This reflected the sisters’ character; for every devil we encountered, there was an angel manifest.

A Book Review & Intelligence Analysis

My Review

On former Israeli intelligence officer Ari Ben-Menashe’s account of crime & corruption inside the American and Israeli political & intelligence establishments with notes on Robert Parry’s (mis)reporting (non-fiction.) My analysis, projecting where the events documented by Ben-Menashi have since progressed to, in italics (part two, following this review.)

As a metaphor, it could be said this is a book about cannibalism. Restated, this book is a well organized, compelling narrative, of how intelligence agencies, in process of engineering geopolitics, prey on people. It is a honest narrative of several of the most criminal personalities of our era. It is a story of the organized murders, via arms traffickers in the service of greed & ego (disguised as patriotism) of too many people to count. And, it is a story of Ari Ben-Menache’s naïveté.

Relating to the author’s specific biographical narrative, or personal self-criticism, the book is an honest confessional of how it came to pass a young man (Ari) with a certain sense of ethics, had been drawn into a set of circumstance that saw his better judgement compromised as he becomes involved more deeply in the web of geopolitical intrigue. The confessions in this regard are necessary; to underwrite the veracity of the author’s more important revelations. Assessing the psychology of Ben-Menache, one sees a determination to come clean. This aspect convinces, more so than the many detractors of the book’s content and attacks on the author.

As time goes on, among other assignments, Ben-Menache facilitates illegal arms trafficking on a scale that might be scarcely believable to the uninitiated. Considering his narration is by no means a comprehensive account of international armaments dealing, one might stop and reflect on the enormity of a problem; where arms trafficking has become so entrenched & integral to the economics of modern nations, any realistic moves to curtail the industry must meet with a Faustian dilemma of damage to the western democracies economic engines. Ben-Menache does not stray into this negative philosophical territory but the implication is in the wider view of what he writes about, or the sheer volume of the trade. One is reminded it is not only weapons systems but the vast amounts of munitions required to run those systems, are in play.

Within the macrocosm of this suicidal regency of arms trafficking he so eloquently develops, the threads Ben-Menache pursues are both interesting and damning.

One can plainly see Robert Gates had covertly run the criminal enterprise that is the operations division of the CIA for well over the decade covered by Ben-Menache. Following George H.W. Bush & Robert Gates making a deal with Iran’s ayatollahs to keep the 52 embassy hostages, to insure Jimmy Carter’s electoral defeat in 1980 (see a linked American eyewitness account backing up Ben Menache’s eyewitness account of G.H.W. Bush’s presence at the Paris meeting to conclude the deal), Gates effectively took over the agency with Bill Casey’s stroke in 1981. Casey stayed on as director but Gates was the de facto man in charge. After Casey’s death, during the tenure of William Webster as Director of Central Intelligence, Webster was left out of the loop in operations run by Robert Gates. Webster (as Leon Panetta had in more recent times) served as a fig leaf director … with Robert Gates running the show behind the curtain. It’s not a stretch of the imagination to state Robert Gates (with the blessing of his criminally complicit boss, George H.W. Bush) ran the CIA from 1981 through 1992. The criminality of this tenure, as put forward by Ben-Menache, is nothing short of rank, felonious treason. By the end of Ben-Menache’s narrative, at the close of 1991, when the joint American-Israeli Iran-Contra operation had been wrapped up, there were a pair of “slush funds” totaling no less than 1.5 billion U.S. dollars (over 2.5 billion in 2015, adjusted for inflation), derived in large part from skimming profits off Iran-Contra (among other) arms deals. This money was split evenly between CIA & Israeli intelligence. Related to this, CIA & MOSSAD had been closely cooperating in international narcotics trafficking, responsible for vast amounts of cocaine smuggled into the USA to fund illegal adventures in Latin America (Iran-Contra particularly) behind the backs of, and prohibited by, Congress.

Ben-Menache goes on to describe splits and competitions, fratricide within MOSSAD, how LIKUD ran and benefited from the criminal enterprise he was engaged in, how extra-judicial murders are decided on by the Israeli intelligence chiefs, and much more. Of interest in this set of topics is how the Israeli side of the ‘slush fund’ proceeds are disposed of. Israeli prime Minister Yitzhak Shamir’s LIKUD used the monies for several noticeable purposes; not least buying West Bank land for Jewish settlements. This fund also bought votes and silence from American congressmen via bribes laundered through AIPAC. It should be noted here, the fund was never static; the USD $780 million Israeli share (excluding the CIA’s parallel fund) was RESIDUAL at the end of Ben-Menache’s tenure with Israeli intelligence. Many billions appear to have been cycled through the fund over the course of the ten years of his involvement. There is an impressive ability to raise and spend money demonstrated … all beyond the purview of legitimate institutions of accountability and associated rule of law.

In the midst of what can only be accurately described as a journey through a collective criminal insanity, there are lucid moments. Shamir is an interesting character with a special hate for Americans; for the indefensible act of refusing the Jews of Europe an escape to Palestine by rejecting out of hand any dealings with the Nazis on the issue prior to the ‘final solution.’ However this might overlook the rights (and ensuing plight) of the Palestinians in relation to what became the state of Israel, one can understand his point of view. Ben-Menache also caused me to think about Shamir in relation to the West Bank and particularly Jordan, a creation of the British empire. Colonial era borders have wrecked havoc throughout the world and Palestine is no exception. Shamir’s idea, setting aside all arguments of legitimacy & morality in favor of pragmatic geopolitics, it might have worked, was to turn Jordan into a Palestinian state. Jordan is 70% ethnic Palestinian Arab and there is little question Arafat would have gone along with the plan but the USA was adamantly opposed. If Shamir’s plan HAD been brought off, the likely result would have been a second ‘Nabka’ (my opinion) similar to the partition of India and Pakistan and the mass exodus of Muslims resulting in bitter enemies nonetheless but two functioning states, one Muslim & one Jewish. The wild card in this scenario would have been Jerusalem, where no one religion should have ascendancy over another … for the idea to work would require Jerusalem become an independent, secular city-state and that has never been in the cards. But I digress…

Labor aligned Nobel Laureate Shimon Peres demonstrates he is every bit as criminal as anyone in LIKUD, but not nearly as competent, when he tries to muscle in on the Iran-Contra take controlled by LIKUD politicians and their associates running Israeli intelligence. Shut out of the operation and its immense illicit profits, Peres sets out to open a ‘second channel’ to arm Iran; for purely pecuniary purposes. Organized crime integrated to intelligence agencies arms trafficking platform, and associated profits, is how LIKUD props itself up in Israel. Peres wanted a share for Labor. This is where Ben-Menache’s narrative is at odds with mainstream; but in a sensible way if one puts in context the information he develops. It was the 2nd channel Peres had attempted to open and operate, that took the fall for the entire Iran-Contra operation; these were the people hung out to dry. Meanwhile, the original (1st) channel continued to operate as though nothing had happened. When journalist Robert Parry claims for himself at the consortiumnews website…

“Investigative reporter Robert Parry broke many of the Iran-Contra stories for The Associated Press and Newsweek in the 1980s”

…it is a clear stretch of the imagination or worse. It was the 2nd channel had broken open in the press, all the while the 1st channel was never so much as dented. It is notable that Ben-Menache limits credit to Robert Parry’s journalism to two counts solely; verifying the authenticity of a few documents that were helpful at Ben-Menache’s trial (on trumped up charges) and two presentations for Frontline on PBS. A careful read of Ben-Menache’s narrative brings out what was never reported in mainstream, not in Newsweek and not by the Associated Press; the 2nd channel people were hung out to dry by the 1st channel people and the primary Iran-Contra players never missed a step.

A bomb dropped by Ben-Menache is the fact Robert McFarlane, Reagan’s National Security Adviser, was a spy for Israel. This discovery had been swept under the rug by the Americans to protect the administration (and George H.W. Bush’s presidential aspirations) but raises an interesting question; if the Israelis can own the American president’s National Security Adviser, where does the Israeli & AIPAC’s penetration end? An observation: compare McFarlane’s fate (hustled out of his position with a cover story and slap on the wrist) to that of Jonathan Pollard (imprisoned for life.) Pollard is described as the most damaging Israeli spy -ever- by the USA for media spin, what a laugh.

These preceding are only a taste of a work that methodically exposes the metadata of the American-Israeli intelligence relationship. Clearly Ben-Menache could have done by far more damage than he had, but he does provide a very clear outline of two highly politicized intelligence entities with leadership in what amounts to a dysfunctional marriage … at the top of the food chain the Americans and the Israelis intensely hate each other; even as they cooperate while screwing out of habit.

After Ben-Menache had forced Robert Gates’ hand in Paraguay, he was careless and let himself be ‘danced’ into an American sting that had red flags waving from the beginning. Had he become subliminally tired of his role in some of this world’s greatest criminal acts? In any case, it was the best thing that could have happened … he managed to beat the clumsy American entrapment and at the end of the day he’d set out to recover his humanity and managed it:

“I am a humbler man today than I was in the 1970s when I joined Israeli intelligence. I’ve learned the hard way that everyone makes mistakes, some of them so big that they are irrevocable. I’ve also changed my view of Israel and the Jewish people. When I was young, I shared with many Israelis a deep nationalistic feeling — the self-righteous and arrogant belief that we were right and everyone else was wrong, that it was more important for Jews and Israel to survive than others, that we were — as the Bible says — the chosen people. I still believe that Jews are chosen. But no longer can I accept the premise on which the Iranian arms deals were based: ‘Better that their boys die than ours.’ People are people. We are all chosen” -Ari Ben-Menache

My Analysis

When Peres sought to open a competing channel to arm Iran via the Iran-Contra business model, he accomplished little more than provide a screen for the 1st channel; in the event the business was to spill into the open. It is my opinion this is why George H.W. Bush and Robert Gates allowed the 2nd (Peres) channel to set itself up in business. From their point of view, it was a prescient move on account of the difficulty of keeping something as big as this had become, under wraps.

Robert Parry’s journalism notwithstanding, the authentic facts of Iran-Contra were never reported on in mainstream. What had been reported as the most salient facts were essentially a smokescreen. This is reinforced by the fact Newsweek had virulently attacked Ben-Menache’s narrative on publication; not long after presenting Robert Parry’s reporting on Iran-Contra as fact. These are irreconcilable phenomena except in the case of Ben-Menache’s considerably expanded account, undermining the limited picture spoon fed to the public by the press, is correct. The Iran-Contra ‘cover’ story had to be protected, investigations were ongoing and the CIA had engineered damage control. North and Poindexter et al, as complicit and stupid as they were, were nonetheless patsies. Robert Parry’s reporting over the ensuing years reinforces the idea his role, all along, has been that of a disinformation asset, whether willing or unwitting, for the CIA. Parry has moved on to pervert American constitutional history in contradiction of (one could say smearing) the anti-federalists intentions relating to checks on a central government, he puts a lot of energy into being an apologist for the inexcusable Obama and, not least, Parry denies the incontrovertible fact the official 9/11 report white-washed the actual circumstance of the collapse of WTC 7 on the afternoon of 11 September, 2001.

Recalling Robert McFarlane, Ronald Reagan’s National Security Adviser, had been working for Israeli intelligence, there is practically no position in American government cannot be construed to be at risk of penetration and compromise via MOSSAD & AIPAC. How this might play in the events of 9/11 is open to conjecture; Ariel Sharon, the Israeli prime minister on 9/11, was a man possessed of the necessary character to murder three thousand people in a gambit to get the USA to fight Israel’s wars, this much is clear. Whether MOSSAD had co-opted enough key people in the USA security apparatus to bring it off, is not. At odds with the Israelis’ initiating the attacks is the fact of Dick Cheney ordering the New York area air defense shut down for the morning of 11 September, while a ‘coincidental’ exercise was to be run simulating a ‘terrorist attack’ with jet liners crashing into New York sky-scrapers. Could Cheney’s team all have been Israeli assets? It seems unlikely. On the other hand, it is classic Israeli style to use their enemies, wherever possible, to take care of their most dirty work. And America is LIKUD’s enemy in a cold political calculation. Related to this, however MOSSAD and Saudi intelligence might cooperate in common geopolitical interests, most certainly Israel and Saudi Arabia are not friends. Utilizing al-Qaida as a front to initiate the attacks, or utilizing Saudis as patsies for a false-flag ‘terrorist’ attack, either one, is consistent with Israeli style; in the past MOSSAD has laundered operations through the PLO for purpose of everything from terrorism for propaganda purposes, to political murders. A second or alternative possibility is the Israelis duping the USA’s people into assisting with their operation. The Israelis may have/had the necessary access and certainly the motivation; whereas the Americans have repeatedly demonstrated they are guilty of that particular brand of hubris that is blinding. Another possible scenario is the USA’s geopolitical intelligence engineers having penetrated an Israeli operation and opened doors for the 9/11 actors, basically rolling out the red carpet for an Israeli run operation, unbeknownst to the Israelis, a covert co-option if you will. A fourth possibility is an Israeli-American joint venture (I lean towards this.) A fifth possibility is the Bush criminal syndicate responsible for 9/11, taking care to frame the Israelis in case the operation were to unravel. In any of these hypothesis, Rudy Guiliani (Trump’s private lawyer) having located his disaster headquarters in WTC Building 7, is key.

What’s almost certain is, Al-Qaida was a minor actor, a dupe and cover story, and was not primarily responsible for 9/11. Insofar as responsibility & accountability, there is none. These agencies or actors, with the likely exception of al-Qaida, would have access to tactical nuclear weapons or ‘suitcase nukes’ for purpose of false-flag terrorism, were it to come to the likes of a Bibi Netanyahu, or Bush family & Robert Gates’ associated Iran-Contra minions determination to up the ante as opposed to face accountability (noting Iran-Contra personalities have their fingerprints all over the USA security apparatus during the Bush Jr administration, 9/11 and coverup, recalling Iran-Contra was a joint MOSSAD-CIA operation.)

In the history of intelligence agencies narcotics trafficking, what is mentioned in Ben-Menache’s book is nothing new but is important confirmation this is a leopard will never shed its spots. Previous to Iran-Contra, the CIA had been big narco-traffickers in southeast Asia. Subsequent to Ben-Menashe’s narrative, during Robert Gates tenure as Secretary of Defense under George W. Bush, carried on into the Obama administration, heroin trafficking has boomed throughout the American occupation of Afghanistan.

It cannot be construed to be an accident Robert Gates had been instrumental in dramatically enlarging the USA’s special operations forces in numbers and increasing integration of those special operations forces to CIA clandestine operations, under Obama. Since the electoral coup d’état of 1980, the real power of the Bush family cabal, the CIA covert operations branch (run from behind the scene by ‘family capo’ Robert Gates) has been strengthened & consolidated –

The CIA And Nonviolent Resistance

With the CIA or MOSSAD (your choice) having decided to leak the fact clandestine operations of the two agencies have established a certain degree of fusion, released as a psychological ploy (neither agency is particularly bright these days), it brought into perspective a phenomena I had puzzled over for some time; how it was I’d drawn the attempted lethal attention of both institutions in a matter of two weeks (in the Fall of 2007.) A case of leaked accountability to Newsweek magazine establishes the CIA & MOSSAD were working joint assassinations by February, 2008. In actuality, my case establishes they were already jointly pursuing targets four months previous to this, in October, 2007.

Also, I’d wondered how MOSSAD had taken an interest in my elimination, a simple ‘quid pro quo’ arrangement, although plausible, was never a completely satisfactory answer. Now I believe I know that answer as well; the CIA has a storied history of narcotics trafficking and MOSSAD is implicated as a possible partner back to the era of Iran-Contra:

“By Way of Deception describes the shocking scope and depth of the Mossad’s influence, disclosing how Jewish communities in the U.S., Europe, and South America are armed and trained by the organization in secret ‘self-defense’ units, and how Mossad agents facilitate the drug trade in order to pay the enormous costs of its far-flung, clandestine operation”

As an investigator with a longtime interest in the several western democracies intelligence agencies deep involvement in international narcotics trafficking, motive appears to falls into place. As well, noting the MOSSAD’s international ‘self-defense’ cells funded by this practice closely resemble GLADIO (and likely are modeled after the same), I now must doubt the considerable logistical support required for attempts to take myself out in Europe were limited to fascist Christian elements; in fact Bibi Netanyahu’s MOSSAD fingerprints would appear to be coming into focus, in endeavor joined at the hip with George W Bush & Co, inherited and carried on under Obama:

Of course none of this should ignore what is too often overlooked; the fact Netanyahu and his ilk would never survive to pursue their crime sprees if it were not for some ninety million American conservative Christians, most of whom adopt an ‘Israel can do no wrong’ position because of embracing Biblical literalism, one could call these people ‘millennials.’ The fact this is slightly less that 1/3 of the American demographic doesn’t automatically confer a minority status insofar as the amount of influence they project … for the fact they are largely in solidarity having to with what amounts to their projecting a fait accompli or the idea most of humanity is doomed according to prophecy and that centers on the establishing (re-establishing in their view) a ‘Greater Israel.’ They’re simply better organized than their opposition and probably larger, when taking into account those many Americans who’re alienated from political process or disengaged for whatever other reasons.

This certainly does not excuse Netanyahu but there is plenty of blame (or mental illness, your choice) to go around. It’s not only the Israelis; a rational argument might be made it is not primarily the Israelis are the social drivers (enablers) for the crimes of the state of Israel.

Part one of ‘How Dumb is the CIA’

According to a Washington Post article, John Brennan has set out to restructure the CIA’s longstanding model:

“At issue is a basic structure that has been in place since the agency’s inception, with employees divided by function among four major directorates. The best known are the National Clandestine Service, which sends case officers overseas on spying missions and carries out covert operations, and the Directorate of Intelligence, which employs thousands of analysts whose main job is to provide insight on global developments to President Obama and other policymakers. Others include a directorate focused on science and technology, and a fourth handles logistics for operations abroad”

The article has some disingenuous elements indicating this is a deliberate disinformation provided to the Washington Post as to the ‘why’…

“Former officials said Brennan’s interest in organizational change is driven in part by frustration with the struggle to strengthen U.S. intelligence on the crisis in Syria, which has morphed from a civil war to an incubator for terrorist groups”

…because the Syria circumstance is not a failure of intelligence but quite clearly a failure of policy.

Brennan’s goal…

“But the idea being explored by Brennan would go beyond such changes, rebuilding its sprawling bureaucracy around a model that relies on “centers” that combine analysts, operators, scientists and support staff. The agency has for years employed that approach on its most daunting assignments, including efforts to slow the spread of narcotics, illicit weapons and nuclear arms”

…is cover story, pure and simple. In fact the CIA is a major global player, not in slowing the spread of illicit weapons and narcotics, because actually the CIA is up to its neck in international narcotics and weapons trafficking. Nuclear weapons is a legitimate concern, considering it was the CIA had let a nuclear genie out of the bottle (more on that later) or, rather let’s hope not a subliminal psychological preparation of the public for a looming false-flag attack.

Now, there are some real management pros and cons, mostly cons in this proposal, unless you happen to favor the most criminalized divisions of the CIA, that is the National Clandestine Service and the Science & Technology directorates.

When the new hybridized ‘centers’ are created, there is a typical trade-off and a second, very real, Faustian trade-off. You increase security based on the ‘cellular’ principle by isolating the proposed different regional centers from each other. This can be justified from a point of counter-espionage, if one center is penetrated, the other centers are isolated from the penetration. The typical trade-off is, shared expertise and genius is isolated from one center to the next and overall quality is consequently eroded.  Let’s say John, in the Eastern Europe department, has a nagging feeling about the information he’s developing and he can’t walk down the hall to ask Jane in the South Asia department to look for some anomaly he is missing and the result is, John is sucked into a false-flag information operation that Jane would have spotted. Another problem can be separate cells at cross purposes, unknowingly getting in each others way, where the various proposed regions will inevitably overlap in a globalized world. This almost certainly will require another layer of bureaucracy, resulting in increased inefficiency from a practical standpoint and less efficient oversight in an ever growing, already gargantuan, intelligence apparatus.

The Faustian trade-off is, the proposed ‘cellularizing’ increases the security of any criminal elements operating within the CIA (there are plenty of those) and enhances the criminal elements operational capabilities.

Where in the existing model, any dubious requests that might raise red flags within the agency, for instance a clandestine operations directorate (hypothetical) request for a nuclear ‘trigger’ mechanism from the science and technology directorate, any such request would have a much better chance of going unnoticed in the proposed cellularized regional model.

At the more mundane level of criminal narcotics trafficking, gun-running, and kidnap, torture & murder programs we already know go on, breaking the directorates down into regional cells makes a lot of sense and here is why:

Within each region, there will be ‘teams’ where operations are underway. These teams will be sub-cells of regional cells. Now, when you can assign mad scientist ‘Dexter’ to a team that includes intelligence analyst ‘Ray’, gun-running, narcotics trafficking & renditions pilot ‘Joseph’, and kidnap coordinator ‘Sabrina’, you’ve created a mini CIA within the CIA, with all the bases covered; science & technology, intelligence, logistics and operatives. Give opportunity to cook these ideas up to personalities like Michael Hayden, Stephen Kappes and Michael Morrell (according to the Washington Post article)…

“In addition to Hayden, the [planning] group has met with other former high-ranking CIA officials including former acting director Michael Morell and former deputy director Stephen Kappes. Both declined requests for comment”

…and you have a reorganized dream scenario for Murder Incorporated, with new horizons and associated opportunities to run amok. Just what we do NOT need to hand over to America’s professional psychopath killers. Here’s a bit of preceding history:

The CIA, by its own officials admissions and subsequently uncovered documents and exposed acts, set out on a road of torture and murder with ‘disappearing’ people. Nearly all of the information pitched to the public by media, both mainstream and alternative media, has been limited to renditions to torture but that is only one half, or perhaps less, of what has actually gone on with CIA sanctioned renditions. Let’s have a look at the rest of the story, assassinations (other than by drone) and renditions with the intent to kill and ‘disappear’ the targeted persons.

We begin with noting the investigation in Britain of the CIA’s rendition of Binyam Mohamed, which turned up a MI6 manual instruction to British intelligence officers not to become involved with any CIA rendition where the objective was to kill the target. In the MI6 manual chapter produced for the British court, it is clear the manual instruction’s overall context is intended to keep the British officers clean of and British jurisdiction clear of (and by extension, Her Majesty’s government) certain specified crimes in relation to CIA actions in violation of international law:

“Is it clear that detention, rather than killing, is the objective of the operation?”

It would appear the British are not squeamish about cooperating with CIA in relation to deliveries to torture, rather they are of the ‘if we didn’t see it, it didn’t happen’ philosophy. Where it appears they had drawn a line is in relation to ‘disappearing’ people to die. This inference can be drawn following the preceding MI6 manual language, because everything else in the chapter produced from the MI6 manual for the court is about what the officers would be required to report under British obligations to humanitarian law, if observed; all known CIA renditions practices such as hooding, beating and ‘torture’ (read water-boarding) in relation to any agencies MI6 works in ‘liaison’ with (read CIA.)

With the MI6 manual providing the first hard documentary evidence from allied intelligence there is a concern over renditions to ‘disappear’ people, specifying killing in context of working with the Americans, it follows the Americans involved with renditions should be given a strict scrutiny in regards not only to torture, this is already well documented, but renditions as interim step to targeted killings or ‘disappearing’ kidnapped people.

Who is Cofer Black?

Cofer Black was in charge of the CIA’s Counter-Terrorism Center immediately preceding and for a year or so, post 9/11. The Counter-Terrorism Center or ‘CTC’, established during Reagan’s tenure, is an interesting entity, in that it is more or less the model Brennan wishes to emulate in his reorganizing the CIA. The CTC is also interesting because it was the vehicle utilized to organize the CIA’s renditions program and set up ‘black site’ jails (under Cofer Black.) Cofer Black is interesting because when he left the CIA’s CTC in 2002, he subsequently headed the Office of Counter-Terorism at the Department of State. This office at State would clearly be an overlapping extension of the CIA’s CTC, recalling the Department of State and the CIA are Siamese twins. This is particularly interesting in relation to then National Security Adviser Condoleezza Rice’s fingerprints all over the 2003 Abu Omar rendition for which 26 CIA operatives were charged with crimes in Italy. Italian defendant Nicolò Pollari, head of Italian military intelligence at the time of Abu Omar’s rendition, had attempted to get Rice’s testimony, maintaining she was in charge of the renditions program. Prima facie, it would appear from 2001 through 2004, Cofer Black and Condoleezza Rice were partnered at the apex of the renditions program.

Portrait of a killer (Cofer Black)

Who is Cofer Black? A thumbnail sketch:

  • Born 1950, Stamford, CT
  • High school at Canterbury prep school, college at University of Southern California
  • Master’s of International Relations, USC, 1974.
  • Joined CIA clandestine service in 1974, served 6 foreign tours, mostly in Africa.
  • CIA station chief in Khartoum, Sudan, 1993-94, when bin Laden was there.
  • Director of CIA’s Counter-terrorism Center (CTC), 1999-2001
  • After 9/11, “led the hunt” for Osama bin Laden, including at Tora Bora.
  • State Department ambassador-at-large for Counterterrorism, 2002-04
  • Vice-chairman, Blackwater USA, 2005-2008
  • Principal, 2006-present, of the Prince Group’s Total Intelligence Solutions, a Blackwater spin-off providing services to “bring CIA-style intelligence services to Fortune 500” companies.
  • Advised Romney presidential campaign on national security issues.

Following on taking undue credit for capturing Carlos the Jackel, after French intelligence had tracked the terrorist down, Cofer Black let Bin Laden get away TWICE, and, when heading the CIA’s Counter-Terrorism Center, Black was a party to refusing information sharing with the FBI on the al-Qaida cell the USA alleges is responsible for 9/11.

Cofer Black moved on to Blackwater following his renditions career in concert with with Condoleezza Rice. In the preceding year (2004) Blackwater had become an extension of the CIA with outsourced contracts for extra-judicial assassinations placed under the direction of Enrique Prado, a known narcotics cartel contract killer. There is no way Rice, and particularly Cofer Black, could convincingly deny they did not know this. The CIA murder contract with Blackwater continued until 2009, or four years of Cofer Black’s career with Blackwater through 2008 (+1 year.) The program was reported cancelled in 2009 when Leon Panetta freaked out and got cold feet on discovering the program existed (with past instructions from Dick Cheney Congress was not to be informed.) This was followed by a litany of CIA denials the program was ever more than a ‘power-point’ presentation. This despite at least two former special forces employees of Blackwater insisting the program was operational, one of them an admitted ‘trigger-man.’

A footnote on Cofer Black’s previous clandestine CIA career focused in Africa would be, his personal interest in operational support for the racist regimes in Rhodesia (Zimbabwe) and South Africa, when combating Black liberation movements, i.e. CIA ‘dirty war’ efforts in Africa.

Who is Steve Kappes?

With Cofer Black moved over to private sector contract killing for CIA, we move on to Steven Kappes’ leadership and a bit wider view of just what sort of personalities constitute the renditions to murders for CIA.

Suddenly we have a third director of renditions in what seems to be a case of ‘too many chefs spoil the broth’ during the period of 2001 through 2004. If Cofer Black engineered the rapidly expanded renditions program for Bush, Cheney & Co, (noting CIA renditions had pre-existed these morons coming to power), and Condoleezza took a hands on interest in oversight (related to targeting), Stephen Kappes, as director of operations gets the ‘whipping boy’ position of responsible for ordering specific renditions to proceed. Except in the case of rendition to murder operations that can be laid at the door of the White House, no one will ever be punished.

In a New York Times article, reporter Mark Mazzetti gets on his knees to perform political fellatio on the man who made what has to be the biggest CIA screw-up in history, yes, even outdoing Cofer Black standing back and allowing 9/11 to proceed (something that will never be explained ‘officially’.) But first, let’s look at what Stephen Kappes is capable of doing competently:

Kappes great coup of history was to convince Gaddafi Libya could give up its nuclear program, and save face for the USA by taking responsibility for what almost certainly had been George H.W. Bush’s CIA false-flag downing of the airline over Lockerbie the FBI clearly framed Libya for, in return for ‘normalization’ of relations and we’d be off Gaddafi’s back, for ‘awhile’ (the fine print Gaddafi did not read.) Gaddafi accepts renditions prisoners from the CIA, as proof of fealty, and is allowed into the ‘club’ and can pitch his tent on the lawn at Élysée palace:

Gaddafi_tent

^ Gaddafi’s globe-trotting tent

Ok, so any conniving 12 year old could accomplish the same .. ‘Give me $1,500 and your Get Out Of Jail Free card and I’ll hand over Pennsylvania Avenue and let you land on Park Place rent free for the next three throws of the (in this case, loaded) dice. What Gaddafi failed to realize is, how dumb it would be to make any deal with the very same people who’d blown up the plane over Lockerbie and pinned the blame on him.

Before we go into why Stephen Kappes very seriously, for personal reasons, needed to get Gaddafi to give up Libya’s nuclear program, let’s have a quick look at the ONE professional experience where he was actually good at what he did; essentially a ‘drum major’

“Mr. Kappes, a Cincinnati native, joined the C.I.A. in 1981 after five years in the Marine Corps, where he once commanded a platoon of the Marines’ legendary “silent drill team” in Washington that performs a tightly scripted rifle ceremony before thousands of spectators each year”

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LgFJJ77w2nA

^ Kappes taste for pornography

Stephen Kappes world class screw-up, out-doing the CIA’s professed ‘non-role’ in preventing the 9/11 attacks (yes, even out-doing Cofer Black’s refusing information to the FBI on the very cell the USA alleges is responsible for the attacks, prior to 9/11)…

“Kappes, who had known about Dr. Khan’s [atomic bomb] black market machinations, nevertheless did nothing to stop him”

…was to run a nuclear proliferation ‘sting’ operation that saw viable bomb designs (blueprints) get into the hands of not only the Libyans, but also Iran, North Korea and incredibly, into the hands of unknown amounts of persons yet unknown:

“Among the files confiscated from the Tinners, Collins and Frantz say, were elements of a Chinese design for a nuclear weapon that had been scanned and could therefore have been copied and disseminated around the world.

“Investigators from the U.N. International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) also identified possible elements of designs for two other more sophisticated Pakistani nuclear weapons among the materials they were allowed to see.

“In addition to the discovery of more than 300 schematics for two types of Pakistani atomic weapons in the Tinners’ possession, hard drives belonging to the family were found in Thailand, Malaysia and South Africa, showing that classified information useful in making bombs had traveled the globe”

The CIA solution to Kappes’ botched sting operation?

“A Swiss investigator who worked on the Khan case was quoted by the authors as saying that Washington had wanted the evidence collected in raids on the Tinners’ home and offices, including computer files, hard drives, disks and documents, to be destroyed in order to “hide their own stupidity””

Well, it should come as no surprise, the preceding would be the outcome of putting a Marine Corps ‘drum major’ in  charge of the CIA’s clandestine operations division. It follows, it can hardly come as a surprise at how stupidly the renditions program had been pursued:

Kappes

^ Portrait of a killer (Stephen Kappes)

One more Stephen Kappes screw-up and we’ll move on:

“In 1988–89, when Kappes was deputy chief of Frankfurt station, he was responsible for penetrating Iran’s virulently anti-US theocracy and its nascent nuclear program. By 1989, “virtually the entire US intelligence apparatus in Iran had been detected and successfully disrupted by the Iranians,” according to a little-noticed account corroborated in general terms by former US officials and other sources.

“This may be exaggerated, but there was little denying the scale of the CIA’s humiliation,” Mahan Abedin, director of research at the London-based Centre for the Study of Terrorism, was quoted as saying in 2007…”

By 2004, when it was becoming clear the Milan operation (Abu Omar rendition) had been a complete fiasco, the dinosaurs in the Oval Office realized Murder Incorporated needed brought into line with more efficient model, getting caught was not an attractive option. Out goes George Tenent and enters Porter Goss as Director of CIA, and with that change, we say bye-bye to Stephen Kappes (for the moment) and hello to Jose Rodriquez of Latin America’s ‘dirty wars’ fame.

Porter Goss is a former CIA Latin America operative turned politician. Prior to this we’d had ‘old world’ operatives running operations, people whose so-called ‘expertise’ was in Africa, the Middle & Near East and South Asia. Now the world will get the filthy end of the stick from the Latin America division, the people most experienced with pursuing ‘dirty wars.’ This change didn’t make the CIA any smarter, only meaner. These are people who enjoy torturing people. And then killing them. And then making the bodies vanish. Except when LOTS of bodies are left out in public view as a ‘message.’

In today’s clandestine world of CIA operations where the ‘world is a battlefield’, there are probably more operatives using military for cover, than the rest of the clandestine officers combined, surpassing the Department of State as most often used cover in previous times. That’s how you get pilots, muscle & security (snatch operation body guards) in abundance; personnel that are familiar with weapons and training necessary to a perform ‘break-out’ (worst case scenario in any operation gone wrong) for money with double career, double retirement (with full pension after 20 years), double identity, double passport and double social security numbers, walking around in civilian clothes on the job and in the military when convenient. Not a bad deal for blue collar killers.

When Goss brought the Latin America division into leadership of the renditions program with a pass from Bush to do ‘whatever it takes’ (only Bush didn’t want to know whatever it took), disappearances renditions went on steroids, with 11,000 (eleven thousand) known flights by renditions related aircraft turned up as of 2013. Put this number up against the ‘less than 100’ prisoners held in ‘black sites’ according to former CIA Director Michael Hayden (together with the CIA edited Wikipedia claiming there were only 1,500 renditions flights, and you can see there is problem) to get a sense of how many people have been ‘disappeared.’ If more than 1/2 the identified 11,000 flights by KNOWN renditions aircraft were empty for one reason or another, it still remains feasible thousands of people have vanished. The CIA doesn’t fly planes as a hobby. If some of those flights carried multiple kidnap victims, the numbers might be higher. Recently the British destroyed nearly all records of cooperating with CIA renditions, including flights into the USA leased base at Diego Garcia where it has been reported ‘ghost’ prisoners have been held. Now, the CIA is seeking to destroy all internal emails of clandestine services officers during the decade of heavy renditions or 2001-2011. Small wonder the CIA’s nickname is Murder Incorporated (‘Corporate America’ to insiders.)

To wrap up a long article that could go on (and perhaps will go on with a second installment) .. After Porter Goss brought the Latin America division maggots into the ‘war on terror’ renditions scene, Jose Rodriguez was eventually forced out over destroying evidence, most notably the ‘water-boarding’ tapes sought by Congress. Meanwhile, Stephen Kappes had been welcomed back to the CIA as a hero (proving no stupidity is too great for the CIA) and later went on to run the agency (at the insistence of Diane Feinstein) for Leon Panetta who’d no experience at all.

David Petraeus’ CIA ‘dirty wars’ mentor, Colonel James Steele, was a major maggot brought out of retirement and tortured & murdered too many people to count, in Iraq. And it all just goes on … now with Obama’s darling John Brennan, consulting with exemplary morons such as Kappes, set to reorganize the agency in such a way as to further empower these sort of pimps & prostitutes for Satan-

Sociopaths & Democracy Project

Putin_Valdai_club

If I disagree with Putin, let’s make up an arbitrary number of 20% of the time, I can as easily say I disagree with the USA and allied Western democracies’ polices 80% of the time. My disagreements with Putin are largely philosophical. My disagreements with the USA are largely practical, or with practical crooks and practical liars.

How would I disagree with Putin? His embrace of the Christian patriarch at Moscow and by inference embrace of a failed philosophy of nearly two millennia aggression, deceit and the ‘forgiveness’ excusing one’s ‘sins’ with a legacy of empire. Restated, a philosophy of excused from responsibility for one’s actions (a common thread in all Christian nations of Europe and its world-wide legacy), cannot have a happy ending; a day will come when a future Russian leader is not so rational as Putin.

As well, Putin’s related embrace of the current economic model of sustained development (born out of Christian civilization) exploiting natural resources to grow one’s own national and world economy, human behavior pointing us to environmental collapse. Any truly great leader of this age will point their nation to alternative culture and model.

One the other hand, when compared to the USA particularly (and Western democracies generally) so-called ‘Christian’ sociopaths who would rule the world, Putin, who demonstrates old fashioned principles and related self-discipline, stands head and shoulders above the lot. The Western democracies plunder of the world’s resources for sake of instant gratification profiting a comparatively few the 21st century Western empire serves, stands in stark contrast to Putin having clawed Russia back from the oligarchs of the Yeltsen era and seeking to find some semblance of sanity taking Russia forward.

It follows, Putin’s Speech to the Valdai International Discussion Club’s eleventh session at Sochi on 24 October 2014, is well worth a read:

It was mentioned already that the club has new co-organizers this year. They include Russian non-governmental organizations, expert groups and leading universities. The idea was also raised of broadening the discussions to include not just issues related to Russia itself but also global politics and the economy.

An organization and content will bolster the club’s influence as a leading discussion and expert forum. At the same time, I hope the ‘Valdai spirit’ will remain – this free and open atmosphere and chance to express all manner of very different and frank opinions.

Let me say in this respect that I will also not let you down and will speak directly and frankly. Some of what I say might seem a bit too harsh, but if we do not speak directly and honestly about what we really think, then there is little point in even meeting in this way. It would be better in that case just to keep to diplomatic get-togethers, where no one says anything of real sense and, recalling the words of one famous diplomat, you realize that diplomats have tongues so as not to speak the truth.

We get together for other reasons. We get together so as to talk frankly with each other. We need to be direct and blunt today not so as to trade barbs, but so as to attempt to get to the bottom of what is actually happening in the world, try to understand why the world is becoming less safe and more unpredictable, and why the risks are increasing everywhere around us.

Today’s discussion took place under the theme: New Rules or a Game without Rules. I think that this formula accurately describes the historic turning point we have reached today and the choice we all face. There is nothing new of course in the idea that the world is changing very fast. I know this is something you have spoken about at the discussions today. It is certainly hard not to notice the dramatic transformations in global politics and the economy, public life, and in industry, information and social technologies.

Let me ask you right now to forgive me if I end up repeating what some of the discussion’s participants have already said. It’s practically impossible to avoid. You have already held detailed discussions, but I will set out my point of view. It will coincide with other participants’ views on some points and differ on others.

As we analyze today’s situation, let us not forget history’s lessons. First of all, changes in the world order – and what we are seeing today are events on this scale – have usually been accompanied by if not global war and conflict, then by chains of intensive local-level conflicts. Second, global politics is above all about economic leadership, issues of war and peace, and the humanitarian dimension, including human rights.

The world is full of contradictions today. We need to be frank in asking each other if we have a reliable safety net in place. Sadly, there is no guarantee and no certainty that the current system of global and regional security is able to protect us from upheavals. This system has become seriously weakened, fragmented and deformed. The international and regional political, economic, and cultural cooperation organizations are also going through difficult times.

Yes, many of the mechanisms we have for ensuring the world order were created quite a long time ago now, including and above all in the period immediately following World War II. Let me stress that the solidity of the system created back then rested not only on the balance of power and the rights of the victor countries, but on the fact that this system’s ‘founding fathers’ had respect for each other, did not try to put the squeeze on others, but attempted to reach agreements.

The main thing is that this system needs to develop, and despite its various shortcomings, needs to at least be capable of keeping the world’s current problems within certain limits and regulating the intensity of the natural competition between countries.

It is my conviction that we could not take this mechanism of checks and balances that we built over the last decades, sometimes with such effort and difficulty, and simply tear it apart without building anything in its place. Otherwise we would be left with no instruments other than brute force.

What we needed to do was to carry out a rational reconstruction and adapt it the new realities in the system of international relations.

But the United States, having declared itself the winner of the Cold War, saw no need for this. Instead of establishing a new balance of power, essential for maintaining order and stability, they took steps that threw the system into sharp and deep imbalance.

The Cold War ended, but it did not end with the signing of a peace treaty with clear and transparent agreements on respecting existing rules or creating new rules and standards. This created the impression that the so-called ‘victors’ in the Cold War had decided to pressure events and reshape the world to suit their own needs and interests. If the existing system of international relations, international law and the checks and balances in place got in the way of these aims, this system was declared worthless, outdated and in need of immediate demolition.

Pardon the analogy, but this is the way nouveaux riches behave when they suddenly end up with a great fortune, in this case, in the shape of world leadership and domination. Instead of managing their wealth wisely, for their own benefit too of course, I think they have committed many follies.

We have entered a period of differing interpretations and deliberate silences in world politics. International law has been forced to retreat over and over by the onslaught of legal nihilism. Objectivity and justice have been sacrificed on the altar of political expediency. Arbitrary interpretations and biased assessments have replaced legal norms. At the same time, total control of the global mass media has made it possible when desired to portray white as black and black as white.

In a situation where you had domination by one country and its allies, or its satellites rather, the search for global solutions often turned into an attempt to impose their own universal recipes. This group’s ambitions grew so big that they started presenting the policies they put together in their corridors of power as the view of the entire international community. But this is not the case.

The very notion of ‘national sovereignty’ became a relative value for most countries. In essence, what was being proposed was the formula: the greater the loyalty towards the world’s sole power centre, the greater this or that ruling regime’s legitimacy.

We will have a free discussion afterwards and I will be happy to answer your questions and would also like to use my right to ask you questions. Let someone try to disprove the arguments that I just set out during the upcoming discussion.

The measures taken against those who refuse to submit are well-known and have been tried and tested many times. They include use of force, economic and propaganda pressure, meddling in domestic affairs, and appeals to a kind of ‘supra-legal’ legitimacy when they need to justify illegal intervention in this or that conflict or toppling inconvenient regimes. Of late, we have increasing evidence too that outright blackmail has been used with regard to a number of leaders. It is not for nothing that ‘big brother’ is spending billions of dollars on keeping the whole world, including its own closest allies, under surveillance.

Let’s ask ourselves, how comfortable are we with this, how safe are we, how happy living in this world, and how fair and rational has it become? Maybe, we have no real reasons to worry, argue and ask awkward questions? Maybe the United States’ exceptional position and the way they are carrying out their leadership really is a blessing for us all, and their meddling in events all around the world is bringing peace, prosperity, progress, growth and democracy, and we should maybe just relax and enjoy it all?

Let me say that this is not the case, absolutely not the case.

A unilateral diktat and imposing one’s own models produces the opposite result. Instead of settling conflicts it leads to their escalation, instead of sovereign and stable states we see the growing spread of chaos, and instead of democracy there is support for a very dubious public ranging from open neo-fascists to Islamic radicals.

Why do they support such people? They do this because they decide to use them as instruments along the way in achieving their goals but then burn their fingers and recoil. I never cease to be amazed by the way that our partners just keep stepping on the same rake, as we say here in Russia, that is to say, make the same mistake over and over.

They once sponsored Islamic extremist movements to fight the Soviet Union. Those groups got their battle experience in Afghanistan and later gave birth to the Taliban and Al-Qaeda. The West if not supported, at least closed its eyes, and, I would say, gave information, political and financial support to international terrorists’ invasion of Russia (we have not forgotten this) and the Central Asian region’s countries. Only after horrific terrorist attacks were committed on US soil itself did the United States wake up to the common threat of terrorism. Let me remind you that we were the first country to support the American people back then, the first to react as friends and partners to the terrible tragedy of September 11.

During my conversations with American and European leaders, I always spoke of the need to fight terrorism together, as a challenge on a global scale. We cannot resign ourselves to and accept this threat, cannot cut it into separate pieces using double standards. Our partners expressed agreement, but a little time passed and we ended up back where we started. First there was the military operation in Iraq, then in Libya, which got pushed to the brink of falling apart. Why was Libya pushed into this situation? Today it is a country in danger of breaking apart and has become a training ground for terrorists.

Only the current Egyptian leadership’s determination and wisdom saved this key Arab country from chaos and having extremists run rampant. In Syria, as in the past, the United States and its allies started directly financing and arming rebels and allowing them to fill their ranks with mercenaries from various countries. Let me ask where do these rebels get their money, arms and military specialists? Where does all this come from? How did the notorious ISIL manage to become such a powerful group, essentially a real armed force?

As for financing sources, today, the money is coming not just from drugs, production of which has increased not just by a few percentage points but many-fold, since the international coalition forces have been present in Afghanistan. You are aware of this. The terrorists are getting money from selling oil too. Oil is produced in territory controlled by the terrorists, who sell it at dumping prices, produce it and transport it. But someone buys this oil, resells it, and makes a profit from it, not thinking about the fact that they are thus financing terrorists who could come sooner or later to their own soil and sow destruction in their own countries.

Where do they get new recruits? In Iraq, after Saddam Hussein was toppled, the state’s institutions, including the army, were left in ruins. We said back then, be very, very careful. You are driving people out into the street, and what will they do there? Don’t forget (rightfully or not) that they were in the leadership of a large regional power, and what are you now turning them into?

What was the result? Tens of thousands of soldiers, officers and former Baath Party activists were turned out into the streets and today have joined the rebels’ ranks. Perhaps this is what explains why the Islamic State group has turned out so effective? In military terms, it is acting very effectively and has some very professional people. Russia warned repeatedly about the dangers of unilateral military actions, intervening in sovereign states’ affairs, and flirting with extremists and radicals. We insisted on having the groups fighting the central Syrian government, above all the Islamic State, included on the lists of terrorist organizations. But did we see any results? We appealed in vain.

We sometimes get the impression that our colleagues and friends are constantly fighting the consequences of their own policies, throw all their effort into addressing the risks they themselves have created, and pay an ever-greater price.

Colleagues, this period of unipolar domination has convincingly demonstrated that having only one power centre does not make global processes more manageable. On the contrary, this kind of unstable construction has shown its inability to fight the real threats such as regional conflicts, terrorism, drug trafficking, religious fanaticism, chauvinism and neo-Nazism. At the same time, it has opened the road wide for inflated national pride, manipulating public opinion and letting the strong bully and suppress the weak.

Essentially, the unipolar world is simply a means of justifying dictatorship over people and countries. The unipolar world turned out too uncomfortable, heavy and unmanageable a burden even for the self-proclaimed leader. Comments along this line were made here just before and I fully agree with this. This is why we see attempts at this new historic stage to recreate a semblance of a quasi-bipolar world as a convenient model for perpetuating American leadership. It does not matter who takes the place of the centre of evil in American propaganda, the USSR’s old place as the main adversary. It could be Iran, as a country seeking to acquire nuclear technology, China, as the world’s biggest economy, or Russia, as a nuclear superpower.

Today, we are seeing new efforts to fragment the world, draw new dividing lines, put together coalitions not built for something but directed against someone, anyone, create the image of an enemy as was the case during the Cold War years, and obtain the right to this leadership, or diktat if you wish. The situation was presented this way during the Cold War. We all understand this and know this. The United States always told its allies: “We have a common enemy, a terrible foe, the centre of evil, and we are defending you, our allies, from this foe, and so we have the right to order you around, force you to sacrifice your political and economic interests and pay your share of the costs for this collective defense, but we will be the ones in charge of it all of course.” In short, we see today attempts in a new and changing world to reproduce the familiar models of global management, and all this so as to guarantee their [the US’] exceptional position and reap political and economic dividends.

But these attempts are increasingly divorced from reality and are in contradiction with the world’s diversity. Steps of this kind inevitably create confrontation and countermeasures and have the opposite effect to the hoped-for goals. We see what happens when politics rashly starts meddling in the economy and the logic of rational decisions gives way to the logic of confrontation that only hurt one’s own economic positions and interests, including national business interests.

Joint economic projects and mutual investment objectively bring countries closer together and help to smooth out current problems in relations between states. But today, the global business community faces unprecedented pressure from Western governments. What business, economic expediency and pragmatism can we speak of when we hear slogans such as “the homeland is in danger”, “the free world is under threat”, and “democracy is in jeopardy”? And so everyone needs to mobilize. That is what a real mobilization policy looks like.

Sanctions are already undermining the foundations of world trade, the WTO rules and the principle of inviolability of private property. They are dealing a blow to liberal model of globalization based on markets, freedom and competition, which, let me note, is a model that has primarily benefited precisely the Western countries. And now they risk losing trust as the leaders of globalization. We have to ask ourselves, why was this necessary? After all, the United States’ prosperity rests in large part on the trust of investors and foreign holders of dollars and US securities. This trust is clearly being undermined and signs of disappointment in the fruits of globalization are visible now in many countries.

The well-known Cyprus precedent and the politically motivated sanctions have only strengthened the trend towards seeking to bolster economic and financial sovereignty and countries’ or their regional groups’ desire to find ways of protecting themselves from the risks of outside pressure. We already see that more and more countries are looking for ways to become less dependent on the dollar and are setting up alternative financial and payments systems and reserve currencies. I think that our American friends are quite simply cutting the branch they are sitting on. You cannot mix politics and the economy, but this is what is happening now. I have always thought and still think today that politically motivated sanctions were a mistake that will harm everyone, but I am sure that we will come back to this subject later.

We know how these decisions were taken and who was applying the pressure. But let me stress that Russia is not going to get all worked up, get offended or come begging at anyone’s door. Russia is a self-sufficient country. We will work within the foreign economic environment that has taken shape, develop domestic production and technology and act more decisively to carry out transformation. Pressure from outside, as has been the case on past occasions, will only consolidate our society, keep us alert and make us concentrate on our main development goals.

Of course the sanctions are a hindrance. They are trying to hurt us through these sanctions, block our development and push us into political, economic and cultural isolation, force us into backwardness in other words. But let me say yet again that the world is a very different place today. We have no intention of shutting ourselves off from anyone and choosing some kind of closed development road, trying to live in autarky. We are always open to dialogue, including on normalizing our economic and political relations. We are counting here on the pragmatic approach and position of business communities in the leading countries.

Some are saying today that Russia is supposedly turning its back on Europe – such words were probably spoken already here too during the discussions – and is looking for new business partners, above all in Asia. Let me say that this is absolutely not the case. Our active policy in the Asian-Pacific region began not just yesterday and not in response to sanctions, but is a policy that we have been following for a good many years now. Like many other countries, including Western countries, we saw that Asia is playing an ever greater role in the world, in the economy and in politics, and there is simply no way we can afford to overlook these developments.

Let me say again that everyone is doing this, and we will do so to, all the more so as a large part of our country is geographically in Asia. Why should we not make use of our competitive advantages in this area? It would be extremely shortsighted not to do so.

Developing economic ties with these countries and carrying out joint integration projects also creates big incentives for our domestic development. Today’s demographic, economic and cultural trends all suggest that dependence on a sole superpower will objectively decrease. This is something that European and American experts have been talking and writing about too.

Perhaps developments in global politics will mirror the developments we are seeing in the global economy, namely, intensive competition for specific niches and frequent change of leaders in specific areas. This is entirely possible.

There is no doubt that humanitarian factors such as education, science, healthcare and culture are playing a greater role in global competition. This also has a big impact on international relations, including because this ‘soft power’ resource will depend to a great extent on real achievements in developing human capital rather than on sophisticated propaganda tricks.

At the same time, the formation of a so-called polycentric world (I would also like to draw attention to this, colleagues) in and of itself does not improve stability; in fact, it is more likely to be the opposite. The goal of reaching global equilibrium is turning into a fairly difficult puzzle, an equation with many unknowns.

So, what is in store for us if we choose not to live by the rules – even if they may be strict and inconvenient – but rather live without any rules at all? And that scenario is entirely possible; we cannot rule it out, given the tensions in the global situation. Many predictions can already be made, taking into account current trends, and unfortunately, they are not optimistic. If we do not create a clear system of mutual commitments and agreements, if we do not build the mechanisms for managing and resolving crisis situations, the symptoms of global anarchy will inevitably grow.

Today, we already see a sharp increase in the likelihood of a whole set of violent conflicts with either direct or indirect participation by the world’s major powers. And the risk factors include not just traditional multinational conflicts, but also the internal instability in separate states, especially when we talk about nations located at the intersections of major states’ geopolitical interests, or on the border of cultural, historical, and economic civilizational continents.

Ukraine, which I’m sure was discussed at length and which we will discuss some more, is one of the example of such sorts of conflicts that affect international power balance, and I think it will certainly not be the last. From here emanates the next real threat of destroying the current system of arms control agreements. And this dangerous process was launched by the United States of America when it unilaterally withdrew from the Anti-Ballistic Missile Treaty in 2002, and then set about and continues today to actively pursue the creation of its global missile defense system.

Colleagues, friends, I want to point out that we did not start this. Once again, we are sliding into the times when, instead of the balance of interests and mutual guarantees, it is fear and the balance of mutual destruction that prevent nations from engaging in direct conflict. In absence of legal and political instruments, arms are once again becoming the focal point of the global agenda; they are used wherever and however, without any UN Security Council sanctions. And if the Security Council refuses to produce such decisions, then it is immediately declared to be an outdated and ineffective instrument.

Many states do not see any other ways of ensuring their sovereignty but to obtain their own bombs. This is extremely dangerous. We insist on continuing talks; we are not only in favor of talks, but insist on continuing talks to reduce nuclear arsenals. The less nuclear weapons we have in the world, the better. And we are ready for the most serious, concrete discussions on nuclear disarmament – but only serious discussions without any double standards.

What do I mean? Today, many types of high-precision weaponry are already close to mass-destruction weapons in terms of their capabilities, and in the event of full renunciation of nuclear weapons or radical reduction of nuclear potential, nations that are leaders in creating and producing high-precision systems will have a clear military advantage. Strategic parity will be disrupted, and this is likely to bring destabilization. The use of a so-called first global pre-emptive strike may become tempting. In short, the risks do not decrease, but intensify.

The next obvious threat is the further escalation of ethnic, religious, and social conflicts. Such conflicts are dangerous not only as such, but also because they create zones of anarchy, lawlessness, and chaos around them, places that are comfortable for terrorists and criminals, where piracy, human trafficking, and drug trafficking flourish.

Incidentally, at the time, our colleagues tried to somehow manage these processes, use regional conflicts and design ‘color revolutions’ to suit their interests, but the genie escaped the bottle. It looks like the controlled chaos theory fathers themselves do not know what to do with it; there is disarray in their ranks.

We closely follow the discussions by both the ruling elite and the expert community. It is enough to look at the headlines of the Western press over the last year. The same people are called fighters for democracy, and then Islamists; first they write about revolutions and then call them riots and upheavals. The result is obvious: the further expansion of global chaos.

Colleagues, given the global situation, it is time to start agreeing on fundamental things. This is incredibly important and necessary; this is much better than going back to our own corners. The more we all face common problems, the more we find ourselves in the same boat, so to speak. And the logical way out is in cooperation between nations, societies, in finding collective answers to increasing challenges, and in joint risk management. Granted, some of our partners, for some reason, remember this only when it suits their interests.

Practical experience shows that joint answers to challenges are not always a panacea; and we need to understand this. Moreover, in most cases, they are hard to reach; it is not easy to overcome the differences in national interests, the subjectivity of different approaches, particularly when it comes to nations with different cultural and historical traditions. But nevertheless, we have examples when, having common goals and acting based on the same criteria, together we achieved real success.

Let me remind you about solving the problem of chemical weapons in Syria, and the substantive dialogue on the Iranian nuclear program, as well as our work on North Korean issues, which also has some positive results. Why can’t we use this experience in the future to solve local and global challenges?

What could be the legal, political, and economic basis for a new world order that would allow for stability and security, while encouraging healthy competition, not allowing the formation of new monopolies that hinder development? It is unlikely that someone could provide absolutely exhaustive, ready-made solutions right now. We will need extensive work with participation by a wide range of governments, global businesses, civil society, and such expert platforms as ours.

However, it is obvious that success and real results are only possible if key participants in international affairs can agree on harmonizing basic interests, on reasonable self-restraint, and set the example of positive and responsible leadership. We must clearly identify where unilateral actions end and we need to apply multilateral mechanisms, and as part of improving the effectiveness of international law, we must resolve the dilemma between the actions by international community to ensure security and human rights and the principle of national sovereignty and non-interference in the internal affairs of any state.

Those very collisions increasingly lead to arbitrary external interference in complex internal processes, and time and again, they provoke dangerous conflicts between leading global players. The issue of maintaining sovereignty becomes almost paramount in maintaining and strengthening global stability.

Clearly, discussing the criteria for the use of external force is extremely difficult; it is practically impossible to separate it from the interests of particular nations. However, it is far more dangerous when there are no agreements that are clear to everyone, when no clear conditions are set for necessary and legal interference.

I will add that international relations must be based on international law, which itself should rest on moral principles such as justice, equality and truth. Perhaps most important is respect for one’s partners and their interests. This is an obvious formula, but simply following it could radically change the global situation.

I am certain that if there is a will, we can restore the effectiveness of the international and regional institutions system. We do not even need to build anything anew, from the scratch; this is not a “greenfield,” especially since the institutions created after World War II are quite universal and can be given modern substance, adequate to manage the current situation.

This is true of improving the work of the UN, whose central role is irreplaceable, as well as the OSCE, which, over the course of 40 years, has proven to be a necessary mechanism for ensuring security and cooperation in the Euro-Atlantic region. I must say that even now, in trying to resolve the crisis in southeast Ukraine, the OSCE is playing a very positive role.

In light of the fundamental changes in the international environment, the increase in uncontrollability and various threats, we need a new global consensus of responsible forces. It’s not about some local deals or a division of spheres of influence in the spirit of classic diplomacy, or somebody’s complete global domination. I think that we need a new version of interdependence. We should not be afraid of it. On the contrary, this is a good instrument for harmonizing positions.

This is particularly relevant given the strengthening and growth of certain regions on the planet, which process objectively requires institutionalization of such new poles, creating powerful regional organizations and developing rules for their interaction. Cooperation between these centers would seriously add to the stability of global security, policy and economy. But in order to establish such a dialogue, we need to proceed from the assumption that all regional centers and integration projects forming around them need to have equal rights to development, so that they can complement each other and nobody can force them into conflict or opposition artificially. Such destructive actions would break down ties between states, and the states themselves would be subjected to extreme hardship, or perhaps even total destruction.

I would like to remind you of the last year’s events. We have told our American and European partners that hasty backstage decisions, for example, on Ukraine’s association with the EU, are fraught with serious risks to the economy. We didn’t even say anything about politics; we spoke only about the economy, saying that such steps, made without any prior arrangements, touch on the interests of many other nations, including Russia as Ukraine’s main trade partner, and that a wide discussion of the issues is necessary. Incidentally, in this regard, I will remind you that, for example, the talks on Russia’s accession to the WTO lasted 19 years. This was very difficult work, and a certain consensus was reached.

Why am I bringing this up? Because in implementing Ukraine’s association project, our partners would come to us with their goods and services through the back gate, so to speak, and we did not agree to this, nobody asked us about this. We had discussions on all topics related to Ukraine’s association with the EU, persistent discussions, but I want to stress that this was done in an entirely civilized manner, indicating possible problems, showing the obvious reasoning and arguments. Nobody wanted to listen to us and nobody wanted to talk. They simply told us: this is none of your business, point, end of discussion. Instead of a comprehensive but – I stress – civilized dialogue, it all came down to a government overthrow; they plunged the country into chaos, into economic and social collapse, into a civil war with enormous casualties.

Why? When I ask my colleagues why, they no longer have an answer; nobody says anything. That’s it. Everyone’s at a loss, saying it just turned out that way. Those actions should not have been encouraged – it wouldn’t have worked. After all (I already spoke about this), former Ukrainian President Yanukovych signed everything, agreed with everything. Why do it? What was the point? What is this, a civilized way of solving problems? Apparently, those who constantly throw together new ‘color revolutions’ consider themselves ‘brilliant artists’ and simply cannot stop.

I am certain that the work of integrated associations, the cooperation of regional structures, should be built on a transparent, clear basis; the Eurasian Economic Union’s formation process is a good example of such transparency. The states that are parties to this project informed their partners of their plans in advance, specifying the parameters of our association, the principles of its work, which fully correspond with the World Trade Organization rules.

I will add that we would also have welcomed the start of a concrete dialogue between the Eurasian and European Union. Incidentally, they have almost completely refused us this as well, and it is also unclear why – what is so scary about it?

And, of course, with such joint work, we would think that we need to engage in dialogue (I spoke about this many times and heard agreement from many of our western partners, at least in Europe) on the need to create a common space for economic and humanitarian cooperation stretching all the way from the Atlantic to the Pacific Ocean.

Colleagues, Russia made its choice. Our priorities are further improving our democratic and open economy institutions, accelerated internal development, taking into account all the positive modern trends in the world, and consolidating society based on traditional values and patriotism.

We have an integration-oriented, positive, peaceful agenda; we are working actively with our colleagues in the Eurasian Economic Union, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, BRICS and other partners. This agenda is aimed at developing ties between governments, not dissociating. We are not planning to cobble together any blocs or get involved in an exchange of blows.

The allegations and statements that Russia is trying to establish some sort of empire, encroaching on the sovereignty of its neighbors, are groundless. Russia does not need any kind of special, exclusive place in the world – I want to emphasize this. While respecting the interests of others, we simply want for our own interests to be taken into account and for our position to be respected.

We are well aware that the world has entered an era of changes and global transformations, when we all need a particular degree of caution, the ability to avoid thoughtless steps. In the years after the Cold War, participants in global politics lost these qualities somewhat. Now, we need to remember them. Otherwise, hopes for a peaceful, stable development will be a dangerous illusion, while today’s turmoil will simply serve as a prelude to the collapse of world order.

Yes, of course, I have already said that building a more stable world order is a difficult task. We are talking about long and hard work. We were able to develop rules for interaction after World War II, and we were able to reach an agreement in Helsinki in the 1970s. Our common duty is to resolve this fundamental challenge at this new stage of development.

Thank you very much for your attention.

To the several German parliamentarians:

I have seen Der Spiegel put up an article reporting German intelligence (BND) has determined a Ukrainian separatist militia was responsible for the shoot-down of MH 17 using the captured Buk (surface to air missile), a scenario which seems thoroughly discredited per this intelligence assessment: Black Boxes, Dark Arts & Geopolitics. The BND did not make public the evidence it claims to back their report to the German members of parliament.

As a long time anti-corruption investigator and former military special operations professional, I personally can assure you with great confidence there is ample evidence the German intelligence authorities are either corrupt or politically motivated to suppress certain truths and excuse certain criminal perpetrators; when the facts do not conform to present geopolitical expediency. I state this per my experiences with political intrigues and politically motivated attempted murders in your nation which may be read here: The Alpha Chronology.

This preceding would be especially relevant to the malignant social phenomena of Gladio and the several NATO aligned western democracies intelligence agencies interfering with police investigations resulting in no accountability for some considerable crimes; when those crimes did not reflect well on the incumbent authorities.

In the present geopolitical climate and Angela Merkel’s ‘tough guy’ stance with Russia on Ukraine, it would do well to recall the history of the BND from its inception and the person of Reinhard Gehlen. With the NATO nations heavily invested in a certain propaganda line in regards to Russia juxtaposed to recent events in Ukraine, any BND reporting should be viewed with a philosophy of ‘caveat emptor.’ For purpose of demonstrating this last, I have incorporated to this mail an open source intelligence study for your perusal.

At the end of the day, it is the several NATO nations intelligence agencies, or corrupt elements therein, are behind GLADIO and its several offspring. The purpose of this mail is twofold; to inform faithfully and honestly on the several NATO intelligence agencies which conceal the facts from & misinform the very democracies they purport to serve .. and to be certain history will hold yourselves accountable if nothing is done

In March 2009, Seymour Hersh, naming William McRaven, mentioned an ‘executive assassinating ring’ that reported directly to Dick Cheney until its military commander (McRaven) had ordered it stopped (we are supposed to believe.) In August 2009, the story broke Central Intelligence Agency had hired Blackwater for a covert assassination program and then new CIA director Panetta ordered it cancelled (we also are supposed to believe.) It was in August 2009 Kieth Olbermann broke the story on Blackwater crusaders:

“The affidavit also says that Prince, quote, “views himself as a Christian crusader eliminating Muslims and the Islamic faith from the globe. To that end, Mr. Prince intentionally deployed to Iraq certain men who shared his vision of Christian supremacy. Many of these men used call signs based on the Knights of the Templar, the warriors who fought the crusades”

It was May of 2009 Harpers Magazine broke the story of a 2004 incident, a Special Forces officer, following viewing ‘The Passion of the Christ’, took his team into the suburbs of the Iraqi city of Samarra while using a bullhorn during evening prayer hour to broadcast “Jesus killed Mohammed

““Each time I go into combat I get closer to God,” [Special Forces officer] DeGiulio would later say. He thought The Passion had been a sign that he would survive”

It was in 2008, the Pentagon promoted (now three star) General Robert Caslen despite the fact he’d been recommended for disciplinary action by the Department of Defense Inspector General for participating in a promotional Christian evangelical video where he states (in uniform, at the Pentagon) “We are the aroma of Jesus Christ”

“We substantiated the allegation in regards to military officers. The seven officers participated in interviews with Christian Embassy, excerpts of which were also included in the [Christian Embassy] promotional video. The officers were filmed during the duty day, in uniform with rank clearly displayed, in official and often identifiable Pentagon locations. Their remarks conferred approval of, and support to Christian Embassy, and the remarks of some officers implied they spoke for a group of senior military leaders, rather than just for themselves”

It is worth noting here, General Caslen is identified as president of the “Officers Christian Fellowship” whose mission statement is:

“a spiritually transformed military, with ambassadors for Christ in uniform, empowered by the Holy Spirit”

And now, following too many similar stories to list, we skip forward to April 2014, where the United States Army (officers at the Pentagon) is sending a military chaplain, band, color guard and entertainers to an event sponsored by the uber-right-wing ‘National Day of Prayer Task Force’, an organization which requires all its members and volunteers working with them to:

“to provide on their applications their ‘testimony’ of their ‘personal relationship’ with Jesus Christ”

Following on this spate of news on the motive and drive behind the people in custody of our world’s most lethal arsenal, we return to Seumour Hersh. In January, 2011, Hersh mentions Admiral William McRaven again, in context of Catholic religious-right extremism, Hersh states as a matter of fact the Joint Special Operations Command’s top leadership is populated with members of Opus Dei and the Knights of Malta and has this to say about the USA’s special operations commanders in regards to their membership in these right-wing Catholic organizations:

“They do see what they’re doing — and this is not an atypical attitude among some military — it’s a crusade, literally,” Hersh reportedly continued. “They see themselves as the protectors of the Christians. They’re protecting them from the Muslims [as in] the 13th century. And this is their function”

I admire Seymour Hersh, he has done some very important reporting on the USA’s dirty work in geopolitics, however I do not believe journalists, even the good ones, are gods. But, he nearly nails it here and it took a lot of guts to name the Knights of Malta and Opus Dei in relation to the American Joint Special Operations Command, because these are the sort of stories which are deliberately buried in the public psyche by associating the facts with nut jobs like Alex Jones and David Icke. Nothing works quite like humans with lizard DNA on the same page, alongside some of the most important stories of our time (mixed with disinformation), to get ordinary people to dismiss the most critical information out of hand. But that’s the purpose Jones and Icke serve. We won’t go to Alex Jones and his ilk, rather to Mother Jones instead.

But first, the problem with Hersh is, he is too conservative in his interpretations and by narrowly focusing his stories, will almost certainly miss the larger picture in relation to the Christian extremism at the Pentagon (and has done things like this before with his journalism.) But that’s what journalists do, keep a narrow focus. Intelligence analysts, on the other hand, must paint the larger picture and run the risk of blowing an analysis, but the good ones generally won’t. Using open source analysis, I’ll take you to the big picture of religion in relation to our Pentagon, special operations forces, Knights of Malta and Opus Dei, but to arrive in focus, we have to go back to the collapse of the 3rd Reich and begin with a look at the Vatican ‘Ratline‘ allowing literally tens of thousands of Nazis to escape Europe in the aftermath of World War Two. History shapes societies and our society is no exception. The primary ‘Ratline’ example for purpose of this essay is Horst Wagner, responsible for the murders of 350,000 people:

“After escaping from a Nuremberg jail in 1948, [Wagner] later explained .. how he was aided on his way to South America on the so-called Kloster Line, being given sanctuary in a number of convents and holy orders in Austria before heading to Rome. He sailed out of Genoa to Argentina to join such killers as Adolf Eichmann, the supreme mastermind behind the Holocaust, and Josef Mengele, the perverted ‘Angel of Death’ of Auschwitz, notorious for his grotesque medical experiments.

“[German Bishop at Rome assigned to smuggle Nazis] Hudal also arranged the paperwork for Franz Stangl, the commandant of the extermination camps of Sobibor and Treblinka, to flee to Brazil on a Red Cross passport using Vatican funds. Stangl, who was eventually extradited back to Germany in the 1960s and died in jail while serving a life sentence of his crimes, oversaw the murder of an estimated 1.4 million people at the two camps”

This preceding is example of a joint venture between the Vatican, MI6 and the CIA’s ‘Operation Paperclip’, a Nazi rescuing endeavor born out of an intensely close relationship between the man who shaped what later became the CIA and the Vatican, detailed in a one year investigation reported by Mother Jones in 1983:

“One day in July 1944, as the Second World War raged throughout Europe, General William “Wild Bill” Donovan was ushered into an ornate chamber in Vatican City for an audience with Pope Pius XII. Donovan bowed his head reverently as the pontiff intoned a ceremonial prayer in Latin and decorated him with the Grand Cross of the Order of Saint Sylvester, the oldest and most prestigious of papal knighthoods

“Pope Pius’ decoration of Wild Bill Donovan marked the beginning of a long-standing, intimate relationship between the Vatican and U.S. intelligence that continues to the present day”

The Mother Jones investigative report goes on:

“But the needy aided by certain SMOM [Sovereign Military Order of Malta, a.k.a. The Knights of Malta] members in the late 40s were some of the 50,000 Nazi war criminals who, with the assistance of the International Red Cross, were furnished fake Vatican passports and, in some cases, clerical robes, and were smuggled on Bishop Alois Hudal’s “underground railroad” to South America. Among those was Klaus Barbie, the “butcher of Lyon.”

In 1948, the SMOM gave one of its highest awards of honor, the Gran Croci al Merito con Placca, to General Reinhard Gehlen, Adolf Hitler’s chief anti-Soviet spy. (Only three other people received this award.) Gehlen, who was not a Catholic, was touted as a formidable ally in the holy crusade against godless Marxism. After the war he and his well-developed spy apparatus—staffed largely by ex-Nazis—joined the fledgling CIA. Eventually, hundreds more Nazis ended up on the U.S. government’s payroll. Among them was Klaus Barbie.

A note on the immediate preceding, Gehlen was ‘rehabilitated’ by the CIA and subsequently became the head of post-war West Germany’s CIA, known as BND. We’ll come back to this. Mother Jones goes on:

“The CIA very early on made a decision that Nazis were more valuable as allies and agents than as war criminals” says Victor Marchetti, an ex-CIA officer who was raised a Catholic. Marchetti is disturbed by the role of the CIA and his church in perpetuating the Nazi outrage. “It gets a little crazy,” he said, “when you let one thing [anticommunism] take over to the extent that you forgive everything else”

Ok,  so now we can take the Mother Jones report, setting up the CIA relationship to the Vatican, and run with it. It was ‘Wild Bill’ Donovan established the close relationship with the Vatican to what became the CIA. Walter Beedle Smith, the first CIA director, brought on-board Allan Dulles. It was these three men who were the primary co-collaborators with the Vatican, over a period exceeding ten years from the late 1940s through the 1950s, in the rescue and delivery to safety of between forty and fifty thousand 3rd Reich criminals. The USA wanted the Nazi scientists (Operation Paperclip) and this paid off dramatically, not only Nazi Party member and rocket technologist (V2 bombing of London) Werner von Braun developing the future American ICBM missiles & USA space program launch successes, but also employing Nazi medical science, this is where the CIA went off the rails with Project MKUltra. But by far, the OSS that became the CIA, mostly wanted Nazi intelligence and its agents particularly, especially those familiar with the Soviet Union. And this is where the western democracies generally, not only the USA, went off the rails.

There is an interesting short memo, dated 1946 and declassified by the CIA, on Walter Beedle Smith, including this interesting language:

“Beedle Smith, on several occasions, called in the Chief Chaplain and gave him very firm orders to straighten with the Vatican Mission .. with a new appointment of chief of the Vatican position, one may expect the relationship will be bettered”

The specific intent of the memo is somewhat masked because it appears to be a code named subject (orchestra/oak) but the message is clear relating to Beedle Smith; as (at that time) Eisenhower’s military chief of staff, he is putting up with no nonsense from any Chaplain assigned to the ‘Vatican Mission.’ If (conjecture) this has to do with Protestant/Roman Catholic relations getting in the way of business, it is a lesson Beedle Smith’s protege, Allan Dulles, took to heart.

Allan Dulles is NOT the man a CIA edited Wikipedia represents:

“In 1935 Dulles returned from a business trip to Germany appalled by the Nazi treatment of German Jews and, despite his brother’s objections, led a movement within the law firm of Sullivan and Cromwell to close their Berlin office. As a result of Dulles’ efforts, the Berlin office was closed and the firm ceased to conduct business in Nazi Germany”

Rather trust the Guardian:

“”The Consolidated Silesian Steel Company situation has become increasingly complicated, and I have accordingly brought in Sullivan and Cromwell, in order to be sure that our interests are protected,” wrote Knight. “After studying the situation Foster Dulles is insisting that their man in Berlin get into the picture and obtain the information which the directors here should have. You will recall that Foster is a director and he is particularly anxious to be certain that there is no liability attaching to the American directors””

Allan Dulles is “Foster Dulles” brother and all Allan Dulles’ law firm is concerned with is protecting business interests and escaping liability, nothing more. Certainly the man who spent years following the war protecting and helping thousands of Nazis evade justice cannot be the man concerned for Jews represented at Wikipedia.

Allan Dulles (and subsequent CIA personalities) did not limit the CIA relationship with the Catholic Church at Rome to shipping Nazis to safety (and in many instance providing them paid careers) but considerably widened the CIA/Church cooperation with the implementing of Operation Gladio. This is where things become even more sticky, if that were to seem possible. Related to this, when anonymous editors of Wikipedia had been tracked to Langley, Virginia and the CIA, they had seemed keen on deleting career CIA (operations division) man William Colby’s admission the CIA had set up (Operation Gladio) secret militia throughout Western Europe in concert with Opus Dei. The deleted entries include:

“According to a November 25, 1990 article by the Danish daily newspaper ”Berlingske Tidende”, quoted by Daniele Ganser in his 2005 book on Gladio, a source named “Q” confirmed William Colby’s revelations in his memoirs about the setting-up of stay-behind armies in Scandinavia .. Opus Dei played a central role in the setting up of Gladio in the whole of Europe”

But first, there is a powerful right-wing of the Catholic Church, firmly rooted in the Vatican, represented in Opus Dei and the Knights of Malta, had supported the rise of Latin America’s fascist juntas in concert with the CIA, following on the Nazi exodus to that global region. But this right-wing branch of the church did not by any means remain idle in Europe and North America.

In Europe, after the USA abandoned denazification during the Dulles tenure at the CIA, a most interesting CIA file on Reinhard Gehlen turns up, definitively establishing by the late 1950s at the Federal Parliament in West Germany, 26% of Bundestag [parliament] members were former Nazi Party members and 28% of Bundestag staff were the same. Of further interest is Gehlen himself, recalling the Mother Jones reporting in 1948 he’d been awarded high honors by the Vatican’s Knights of Malta:

“In March 1950, John McCloy was given the task of appointing a new head of the West German Secret Service. After discussing the matter with Frank Wisner of the CIA, McCloy decided on Reinhard Gehlen, the Nazi war criminal. This resulted in protests from the Soviet Union government who wanted to try Gehlen for war crimes.

“During the Second World War Gehlen served Adolf Hitler as head of military intelligence for the Eastern Front. It was in this post he had created a right-wing group made up of anti-Soviet Ukrainians and other Slavic nationalists into small armies and guerrilla units to fight the Soviets. The group carried out some of the most extreme atrocities that took place during the war. Gehlen was also responsible for a brutal interrogation program of Soviet prisoners of war

“Gehlen recruited large numbers of former members of the SS and the Gestapo. This included Franz Six, who had led Einsatzguppen mobile killing squads on the Eastern Front. The Gehlen Organization was also used to help Nazi war criminals escape to South America. This included Klaus Barbie who was smuggled out of Germany in March, 1951 and given a new life in Bolivia”

It should come as no surprise the present day German government has laws on its books subsidizing the church. What is Opus Dei up to in today’s Germany? According to a former senior church theologian:

“I published the magazine Theological Issues and was summoned by the sponsors every time a faintly liberal view was espoused. Opus Dei people were always there to observe. They said I wasn’t allowed to write “life partner;” it should instead be referred to as “fornication partner.” “Homosexuality” was too neutral, they said. One had to refer to it as “unnatural fornication”

And:

“I supported anti-democratic and anti-liberal groups .. in which some people dream of a fundamentalist Catholic religious state or seriously call for a Catholic jihad”

And very interesting:

“the Vatican is .. relying increasingly on reactionary troops. It is closing ranks with evangelists, bible fundamentals and extremely reactionary forces”

Meanwhile in North America, one cannot expect Opus Dei and Knights of Malta has been idle, but we will cover this in relation to establishing Gladio, the CIA and particularly the CIA’s relationship to the USA’s special operations commanders. It was former Pentagon liaison to the CIA, L Fletcher Prouty, had in his book ‘The Secret Team‘, presciently warned of the dangers of Special Operations commanders advancing to the levels of command and control represented in the Pentagon. This is on account of the special operations forces having a longstanding historical relationship to the CIA Operations Division or, in Prouty’s words the “Dirty Tricks” division, particularly in face of the fact our U.S. military is used by the CIA as cover for numerous career operatives. Add in the thought; in common with CIA, the special operations commanders are expert in psychological warfare, destabilizing false flag operations, undermining governments and asymetrical & unconventional warfare. These are not the people you want at the apex of military power in any secular democracy, it’s simply too dangerous. But in fact that is what we have arrived at, a marriage made in hell, recently represented in the person of special operations expert David Petraeus who has literally gotten away with murder according to the investigative journalism of the Guardian. Tapping the expertise of his former mentor and CIA ‘Dirty Wars’ veteran Colonel James Steele, the Iraq war commanding officer Petraeus had the American commander of secret torture centers and who was overseeing arming and training death squads, reporting directly to him:

Based on this development, I will take Prouty’s hypothesis a bit further; throw in the right-wing fascism represented in Opus Dei & Knights of Malta, taken together with the fundamentalist criminal religious enterprise known as “The Family” all married into the American Special Operations forces commanders at the Pentagon, throw in the CIA partnership, and you have what we arrived at through the USA’s intelligence partnership with the Vatican, beginning with rescuing the Nazis and progressing to Opus Dei involvement with setting up Gladio. In other words, a driving force behind policy that doesn’t answer to democratic institutions and the rule of law, but rather to the minions of theocratic ideals on the far right of the political spectrum. Insofar as a Catholic fascist alliance with with the Protestant ‘Family’, this next is quite informative; relating to Hillary Clinton’s role as NATO’s ‘mother of nations’ bringing ‘democracy’ empowering jihadists and generating mass killings sprees (e.g. regime change in Libya), here’s information with impeccable journalistic credentials. According to the investigative reporting of Mother Jones Magazine, in Hillary Clinton’s own words, she is under the spiritual tutelage of ‘Family’ leader Doug Coe:

“Coe, she writes, “is a unique presence in Washington: a genuinely loving spiritual mentor and guide to anyone, regardless of party or faith, who wants to deepen his or her relationship with God”

And according to the excellent investigative reporting of Jeff Sharlet, Coe, in his own words, is no stranger to violence in politics:

“Doug Coe offered Pol Pot and Osama bin Laden as men whose commitment to their causes is to be emulated. Preaching on the meaning of Christ’s words, he says, “You know Jesus said ‘You got to put Him before mother-father-brother sister? Hitler, Lenin, Mao, that’s what they taught the kids. Mao even had the kids killing their own mother and father. But it wasn’t murder. It was for building the new nation. The new kingdom”

What the Doug Coe cult has worked decades putting into practice is Dominion Theology and ‘terror’ is the necessary tool to consolidate a ‘Dominion Theology‘ police state (subject of the next section on ‘Gladio’)

“Dominion theology refers to a line of theological interpretation and thought with regard to the role of the church in contemporary society. Dominion theology is also known as Christian reconstructionism and theonomy. Dominion theology states that biblical Christianity will rule all areas of society, personal and corporate. Christian reconstructionism reasons that society will be reconstructed by the Law of God as preached in the gospel and the Great Commission. Theonomy is a post-millennial view believing that all of the moral laws contained in the Old Testament are yet binding today”

Other than a ‘Jesus Love Nukes‘ history of the U.S. Air Force training nuclear launch officers in Saint Augustine’s ‘Christian Just War Theory’, the ample evidence for Dominion Theology overtaking command structures in the armed forces of the United States (and by extension, NATO) is finally best illustrated using this example:

“In October of 2013, the Air Force quietly modified Air Force Instruction 36-2606, which [now] states that all enlistees must sign the oath to God and swear it aloud. Prior to the change in the regulation, secular and atheist service members were allowed to omit the phrase”

This amended regulation had been brought into force for the specific purpose of weeding out the ‘unfaithful.’ If you do not subscribe to the Pentagon’s radical religious views, you’re not really welcome in the United States military, any and all public posturing to the contrary notwithstanding. Implementing the regulation speaks louder than words.

GLADIO

Gladio ostensibly was conceived as setting up a partisan resistance to a possible Soviet invasion of Western Europe. Anticommunist hardliners at the CIA and Vatican previously had seen eye to eye on rescuing the Nazis in the spirit of ‘the enemy of my enemy is my friend.’ The right-wing at the Vatican (recalling Pope Benedict’s screening of ‘The Passion of the Christ’ produced by uber-right Catholic Mel Gibson) are famous anti-Semites, no matter numerous disingenuous disclaimers, in fact ‘the Jews murdered Jesus’ theology is the underpinning of the Vatican sympathy underwriting the so-called ‘Ratlines’ which had expedited the Nazi exodus from Europe. In the case of communists, they are no better than Jews in conservative Catholic vision, both Jews and Communists disavow “The Savior.” In this case, the right-wing of the church, represented in Opus Dei & Knigths of Malta was more than willing to provide secret militia members on the extreme right of the church political spectrum, when coordinating setting up Gladio for the CIA. A fascist/anticommunist militia membership would be ‘safe’ or ‘secure’ in event of Soviet occupation of Western Europe. These would be ideologically dedicated people unlikely to cooperate and give up the Gladio partisan armies. In fact Gladio was a disaster for the democracies the operation was purported to protect.

In short, when the communists (different altogether to the Soviet style) in NATO nations were on the political ascent, it was decided to mobilize Gladio elements and suppress them, applying psychological operation melded with what amounted to Catholic neo-fascist cells. The Gladio operation had stashed arms and explosives with these neo-fascist cells across Western Europe. With some of the cells activated, in Belgium, people were indiscriminately machine-gunned in super-markets. Subsequently weapons were planted on prominent political figures on the left and ‘tips’ led to their discovery. Police investigations were stymied by the intelligence agencies. In Italy, bombings were pinned on the left and newspapers printed the carnage. Same result, the investigations were sabotaged. After several years, news of Gladio broke into the open over a massacre in Germany and suddenly it all stopped. But the perpetrators were never brought to justice:

But what was learned was quite incredible in the meanwhile; entire societies could be manipulated with terror, it had worked quite efficiently to destroy the left in public perception and there was no recovery. Even greater peril to the democracies was the result of the Opus Dei-CIA joint venture; a club within the clubs had evolved, intelligence and special operations forces controlling Gladio support and resources had been operationally integrated to Opus Dei, and Opus Dei embedded in the intelligence agencies as a matter of consequence.

When the Soviet Union collapsed and there was no longer the threat of a communist boogeyman, this NATO embedded ‘deep state’ apparatus, by this time pervasive throughout the western democracies institutions, had no problem finding a new enemy: Islam. Just as serious, when compared to Hitler’s military having/had about 8% devoted Nazi membership, with the ideological core centered at the top, in the present structure of NATO, the USA military alone has over 30% ‘Christian Dominion’ personalities, with the ideological core centered in the Pentagon and Joint Special Special Operations Command. These people command the world’s most lethal arsenal and have less than little regard for secular democracy, they are dedicated to its demise. Our CIA & Pentagon have become the home of the most powerful Opus Dei and Knights of Malta personalities in the world. Combine this with the military industrial complex boards and alliance with “The Family” and you get what the FBI has named “Gladio B”

This necrotic series of events (above video) is the Gladio social engineering virus escaped the lab, and is responsible for western corporate revenue generating false flag terror around the world. Don’t like Putin standing in the way of exploiting Central Asia? Neither does the Vatican like the Russian Orthodox Church standing in the way of Catholic encroachment in the former Soviet republics. The solution? Make Russia into ‘The Boogeyman’ justifying an ever more aggressive NATO by installing a ‘Greek Catholic’ prime minister in Kiev with a CIA-Vatican coordinated coup in Ukraine, complete with snipers killing both police and protestors, all blamed on Russia sympathetic elements but spilled open in a leaked conversation:

There is an obscure 1973 essay by former Pentagon liaison to the CIA, L Fletcher Prouty, pointing out by the time of the Johnson administration, there was a more than fair chance any President of the United States, going forward, would have found himself trapped in the circumstance of helpless in the face of executive branch institutions, the CIA Operations people particularly, behaving as they pleased, without accountability. Prouty was a smart man, and since his time, the CIA and Pentagon appear quite clearly to have become integrated into a tool that is not controlled by the President but is an agency which controls on behalf of right-wing ‘Christian Millennial‘ personalities who just happen to believe in literal Armageddon. In the final estimation, Obama, if he’d any inclination to do the right thing when coming into the presidency, he’s since found out he’d been ‘chosen’ and when you’ve been ‘chosen’, you cannot say ‘no’

Apparent regenerating Gladio cells in Spain is documented by El Pais

‘Gladio’ related SS reorganized in Germany documented by Der Speigel

What likely are current Gladio related operations in the USA HERE

I should mention I’d thought about the difference in terms between ‘psychopath’ & ‘sociopath.’ I settled on sociopath for the reasons psychopath is often seen in stereotype sense in the common usage (along the lines of Hollywood psycho-thrillers), as well sociopath casts a bit wider net. In a sense, psychopath could be seen as a subset of sociopath although I’m aware there is a changing sense of the term or some controversy as to its definition.

Ronald Thomas West is a former U.S. intelligence professional

About Obama’s $500,000,000 plan to train & arm the ‘moderate’ opposition in Syria… people would do well to consider the track record, something the U.S. administration seem incapable of weighing and making intelligent consequent decisions:

When American Trained Commandos Go Rogue

When reading these succinct examples of American trained commandos gone rogue, keep in the back of your mind that a dozen men trained in elite special operations skills can turn that knowledge into hundreds who in turn can pass the knowledge on to thousands of insurgents:

“Los Zetas’ [drug cartel] training as a local version of the Green Berets constitutes their foremost asset. In cooperation with their U.S. counterparts, the Mexican military created the Gafes in mid-1990s. Foreign specialists, including Americans, French, and Israelis, instructed members of this elite unit in rapid deployment, aerial assaults, marksmanship, ambushes, intelligence collection, counter-surveillance techniques, prisoner rescues, sophisticated communications, and the art of intimidation” -George Greyson, Foreign Policy Research Institute (2008)

^ Note “the art of intimidation” … the Zetas international drug cartel have sometimes introduced themselves with rolling severed heads into nightclubs frequented by their rivals .. oh, and have decapitated a ‘bakers two dozen’ in one fell swoop:

“A spokesman for Guatemala’s police described what they found on Sunday morning: “One whole body, 26 bodies without heads, and 23 heads”

And these same ‘stupid is as stupid does’ programs just go on:

“Syrian rebels who would later join the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant, or ISIS, were trained in 2012 by U.S. instructors working at a secret base in Jordan, according to informed Jordanian officials.

“The officials said dozens of future ISIS members were trained at the time as part of covert aid to the insurgents targeting the regime of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad in Syria. The officials said the training was not meant to be used for any future campaign in Iraq” -WND 17 June 2014, ‘Blowback! U.S. trained Islamists who joined ISIS’

Many, many dozens would have been the more apt description. Of course the USA allies, particularly Saudis funding these efforts might be a role model, your head can come off in Saudi Arabia for possession of new age literature and an accusation of witchcraft…

“The man, Muree bin Ali bin Issa al-Asiri, was found in possession of books and talismans”

Or you can be a minority Shia dissident in USA’s ally Saudi Arabia and be literally crucified:

“prosecutors called for al-Nimr to be executed by crucifixion”

I expect we can know where our CIA paramilitary and special operations forces trained commandos take their inspirations from…

Africa next?

“The secretive program, financed in part with millions of dollars in classified Pentagon spending and carried out by trainers, including members of the Army’s Green Berets and Delta Force, was begun last year to instruct and equip hundreds of handpicked commandos in Libya, Niger, Mauritania and Mali” -Eric Schmitt, New York Times 26 May 2014

Oh yeah, what a great idea, to mix the preceding with this next:

“an estimated 15,000 children in Africa’s Niger Delta [have been] denounced by Christian pastors as witches and wizards and then killed, tortured or abandoned by their own families” -Return to Africa’s Witch Children (documentary film)

Witches must be why Christian Taliban work out of the ‘Pentagon’

And finally:

“In 2013, the U.S. Special Operations Command (SOCOM) — one of the nine organizational units that make up the Unified Combatant Command — had special operations forces (SOFs) in 134 countries, where they were either involved in combat, special missions, or advising and training foreign forces” -The Tucson Sentinel, 18 September 2014

Great, just what the USA needs, thousands of armed, extremist missionaries proselytizing a ‘weaponized gospel of Jesus Christ’ across the world, that’ll make plenty of sober & thoughtful friends, you think?

And be certain to check out where the Islamic State’s top military commander received his training; should the USA’s Green Berets come as a surprise?

“He was a perfect soldier from his first days, and everyone knew he was a star,” said one former comrade, who asked not to be identified because he remains on active duty and has been ordered not to give media interviews about his former colleague. “We were well trained by American special forces units, and he was the star pupil”
